Using a "he shouldn't behave like that" excuse makes me think of the courts where they ask rape victims what they wore at the time.
Let's not be so accepting of cultural differences that we try to relativize this kind of brutal and medieval laws. These countries who enforce sharia law should be condemned internationally but for some reason they always slip through the cracks. It's as if we don't expect them to be able to live up to the same standards of human rights as "white" countries. Sad and unacceptable.

Apart from a couple of nice songs I don't see, and have never seen, what's so great about Gazette. Same for Mejibray. 420 was a decent album, THE END was up my alley but I can't get into anything else. I don't understand the Dadaroma hype. And finally, Nocturnal Bloodlust probably wouldn't have half the amount of fans they do now if the members actually wore clothes. The thirst in that fandom is real.

Hey
So
I entered the forum some years ago with the main intention of helping with my social phobia, I guess no one knows me because I left it but now I'm back hopefully to stay. May I ask you to please be nice to me? I feel sick to my stomach when I receive a response online..........
I felt the need to start another introduction topic because I think I changed a lot during this time, this is kind of a new start to me, I can delete my old post (or can I?) if it's wrong to start another one.
I'm also kind of dumb and awkward, so don't mind some weird things I may say or do, sorry in advance...
I like mostly heavy stuff, be it rock, metal, electronic/industrial, punk, things that end in core, I love the screaming and the noises, but most things are disappointing me, specially in JRock, I was thinking of migrating to other genre like grindcore until I found Deviloof, so I'm giving it another chance... I also like discovering new genres like thall, japanoise or whatever and watching different and unusual things (Die Antwoord is a guilty pleasure of mine...), so if you find anything interesting and feel like sharing with someone, here I am~
My favorite bands are Dir en grey, Plastic Tree, Kagrra,, Mucc, Nocturnal Bloodlust (which reminds me that probably Deviloof will enter this list), The Piass, Sukekiyo, Kiryu, Ikd-Sj and recently I discovered Xaa-Xaa, Archemi and Kuroyuri To Kage, that I'm liking a lot too. I love traditional japanese things, so if you know more bands that use japanese instruments I'll appreciate if you show it to me. I'll also appreciate if you can recommend me more heavy bands like NB and Deviloof...
I hope it wasn't a waste of your time to read what I wrote, thanks for reading it.

Too damn precious.

He probably scares more people and probably would be described by some as cute rather than beautiful when he smiles, but I think the genuine emotions he shows when he's happy is beautiful. I adore his dimple smile!
Another one I'd love to add! Taroo~ This single gif cheers me right up!

I'm an INTP, what's your type? What do you think of the results? I found mine pretty accurate.
There's also this one: https://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test.php
I'm a 5w4 and I found the results very insightful.

len reacted to saltofstones in Tropes in visual kei that you can't stand?
I'm not sure how to explain it but I feel like VK has a problem with choruses. So often I hear songs that sound amazing only to be ruined by a boring chorus that doesn't seem to organically connect with the rest of the song, sounds uncharacteristically happy like an explosion of kittens and rainbows in musical form or is just bland and lacks the kind of punch you would expect from a chorus. Then when it's time to go back to the verses, the transition is all awkward. To me, the verses and bridge are usually more memorable than the choruses and I only seem to have this experience with VK. When I listen to a new song and it's shaping up to be a good one, I always have this concern that they'll go for this type of chorus and ruin everything and more often than not I am right. A good example of this would be SCAPEGOAT - 幼女A~Hide and Seek~ . Their Nemurenai something song is the same. It's frustrating to have everything in a song work except the chorus.

I swear that synth is going to be the "what were they thinking" thing that we look back on in 5 years.

len got a reaction from suji in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
I like Kiryu a lot but they really are sounding kind of messy.
I dislike Mejibray, I don't get the hype behing them, didn't even know so many people liked them actually.
I like Babymetal's instrumental but not the singing, the idol thing, it's cringy.
I like band's visuals, and the entertainment it had when I first discover VK, but now I'm seriously just wanting good music.
I dislike Nocturnal Bloodlust song's transitions, I wish they were heavy from the begining to the end (not sure if this is actually unpopular, but a lot of people seem to like that).
Even though there's a lot of generic stuff going around, I don't think the old times had better music.
Well, this isn't really a good post, just a few things I've being wanting to say for a while now...

len reacted to itsukoii in Post your "UNPOPULAR" music opinions!
bands who release ONE REALLY GOOD heavy song and leave the rest of their discography soft as fresh dog shit and then disband need to rethink all of their life decisions
-
len got a reaction from itsukoii in Your Musical Pet Peeves...
This is exactly what I was going to say, minus the cookie thing, but yeah, when they interrupt a heavy song with a lame chrorus. Or songs that are boring from the begining to the end but have those ten seconds of good screaming, and I just love the screaming...
I like engrish, except for Nocturnal Bloodlust's, I like accent not when what they say don't make sense, plus cheesy lyrics , like when they want to talk about some experience that it gets obvious they didn't have so the song sounds kind of dumb to me, or trying to be badass. Hm I think accent depends on the song too actually, sometimes I can't take it seriously but I never had a problem with Kyo's.
This isn't about the song but the PVs, when they feel the need to show each one of the member's faces, like in every Kiryu PV, I always roll my eyes. Or when they keep showing off some scene too much like if it's a big deal, it kind of kills the mood for me. I can't remember the last time I saw a PV I liked.
Too much vibrato and high piched nasal voices too, and singing out of tune, obviously. I hate synth and dubstep on JRock bands most of the times.
