@fitear1590I absolutely love everything about Studiopolis and Press Garden. Both zones are so fucking beautiful. The latter actually reminds me a bit of the old Shinobi games, I'm guessing it must be intentional. Stardust Speedway is great as well. Actually, I've enjoyed just about every zone in the game so far, maybe w/ the sole exception of Lava Reef Zone... Great game though, between games like Shovel Knight, Environmental Station Alpha and Sonic Mania the last couple of years have been VERY good for people into the retro aesthetic
@YuyoDriftWell, tbh most of the recent Sonic games have been less than stellar, so I'm not surprised people have been cautious about the whole thing pre-release, but the actual end product is just gorgeous. Makes me wish more people would stop following the whole "it's 3d so it must be better!"-meme that a lot of the gaming industry seems to be stuck in. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate 3D or anything, but even the PS1 era already showed how much tight shit one could do with sprites and all on new hardware and yet its still generally overlooked (except by indie devs)

My bbs, I'm so sorry to worry you! I was in Germany all summer and somehow, my MH posting presence diminished. I'm back though! You know you can always yell about PF and Koochewsen with me! (Speaking of, I still need to check out the Ai no Koochewsen album! Gah)

Jk, I'd recommend trying their later material, like their jen:ga album or dark mini-album. I can definitely understand your aversion to hitomi's vox (it took me a while to warm up to him, despite absolutely adoring the instrumentals to early songs like "kimi no ita gosenfuu". BUT, I think he definitely improved over time). So some later PVs/tracks I'd personally recommend are "snowing," "薔薇色の地獄," and "春の夜の、ひと雫".

I find uploading pics to tumblr to be a lot easier. If you save each photo post as a draft, you can still get a URL to your images without them being publicly viewable.
Only thing is that they sometimes get compressed + lossy if you take the image source from the dashboard posts, rather than opening up the image itself. Just something to be aware of.

didn't know the version of Allegro on the FIRST STEPS ep was different as well! haven't heard it—been trying to track down a non-128 version of the EP lol
i dig the original version of yumekui as well, but the mixing on the NPE version (also where i first heard the song) really brings out this sort of dreamy delirium for me. more atmospheric while still really bludgeoning
