  1. are those biiig balls between the horse-horse's legs? Scary.

I only know I am libra. Don't really believe this whole astrology and esoteric stuff. But astronomy is very interesting to me (ans the history of star signs is another proof for me that stars are just stars and no magical entities; my star sign for example was just seen as a part of the sign scorpio before romans turned it into it's own).

  2. ^(okay, edit, because I am so really lame typing posts and Peace has already mentioned it. So it really is a word play with real lies and realice)

I love the song names where bands just randomly put signs, letters or words together. for example:

    Lanus Dune: Inferno tR=Lick

Ash: ―A→ (how yo you spell that? Arrow-A?)

Chateau La Tour: I truth lie (I not speak engrish)

    Cynthia: Glass night for sever

Devise en Despair: Mind Control Killer Loop (okay, this one can somehow make sense and it sounds badass)

Versailles: Dry Ice Scream (yeah, I get it and it's on purpose for phonetic reasons... still funny and odd because I didn't expect this band to make a title like that)

    HISKAREA: Cat a like F-risky

    media-youth: No Ripcord Butter-Fly

Well, there are many in vk...

And I am still figuring out how to spell the bandname Chillkey Labemds...

  3. Surpised Depeche Mode haven't been mentioned. Yeah, i know they are pretty well known, but they have been the innovators for electronic New wave music and Synthpop, so I guess they should be mentioned here. And most of their disco is flawless 8except maybe the last album)

Well... Clan of Xymox are a darkwave band and more in the whole electronic dark alternative music section (or electro goth, but I don't know if that's actually a real genre...) However, their 80s stuff is really wonderful atmospheric and ethereal synth wave.

DM) 2,60 D:

  5. I wouldn't consider Phantasmagoria to be kote either... but let's be honest: there is no such a thing as "kote kei". It's a term invented by foreign fans who disliked the way visual kei changed ca. 2005-2008 and put their nostalgia glasses on. I am not an exception, as I prefer the old bands over the new ones. But I don't think "Kote kei" is a genre or a useful label... if you ask four fans of old visual kei music what it means you will probably get 10 answers. Some people only sort the indie bands from the Matina, Key Party and Soleil label there, others claim that all visual kei from 1992 to ca. 2002 is Kote and then there are people who say all the try hard goth bands are kote kei, while the others classify just as old visual kei or "light/soft visual kei".
I still have to find sources that indicate that this term was ever used by japanese people and haven't found any so far. While Light or Soft visual is a valid term you see used by both japanese and foreign fans Kote kei isn't. let alone that no 90s band would call themselves Kote - neither did the word exist back then nor will those old bands ever see themselves as that.

It's still useful though and helps a lot to find possible new (and old) bands that have the popular indie visual kei sound from the late 90s.

But considering how artificial this term is it's also very hard to say what type of bands belong to it. I can definitely understand and see why people would call Kiryu "Kote kei". Sound technical they don't really sound like most modern visual kei bands (or neo visual kei... but that's another questionable term). When I listen to them I can find many similiarities with the visual kei groups from say 2002-2005. Of course that's not really 90s or old... and I don't think costumes play an important part in the kote kei thing either. Not all bands in the 90s were as effimenately dressed as Madeth gray'll or Aliene.

@Hyura As said above, Kote kei is extremely vague... i'd say early Kuroyume are definitely "Kote" as they were basically the origin of all those dark, goth influenced bands that followed after (and the whole Nagoya kei trend). But on the other side there are people claiming Baiser aren't Kote kei, because they are 8especially in their later era) too soft.

  6. Don't see how Yohio is crazy for that PV part either. Going "mad" was (and I think still is) one of the fav clihcées in visual kei. Seremedy just put all stereotypes you can find in japanese PVs into their own video.

Don't like this band though... Seremedy were mediocre and this thing sounds even more like 08/15 Metalcore, which i find totally boring and uninteresting. And I dislike the way Seike sings... And I really don't get any visual kei vibes from neither the song nor the video. The only thing that's visual here is Seike's hair. (but maybe I have no idea how VK anno 2008/09 sounds)

Ist Deutschland also so streng? Oder ist Österreich nur so nett?

  8. Yeah... I actually think the photo doesn't look so bad. I guess the bad taste it emits comes from what it portrays (fetish motives are really hard to pull off seriously). But the Typo bothers me as well... especially the spacing of the worlds. They did it to make the typo look more interesting, but it just looks bad.

  9. ^ the idea is pretty awesome actually :D

Proud single over here too. I haven't find a single person yet i was interested into (neither sexually nor emotionally or mentally). And I like to be alone and having the whole day for myself. I guess that's also why I don't have many friends because too many people interferring in my daily plans would make me crazy. I also rather stay at home doing stuff than go to parties- except it's with one of my few but really good friends. But I'd hate to do things with a person who clinches me like a dog and where saying "I don't want to see you for the next 8 days" isn't so easy...

Or maybe I am just too egoistic, I don't know.
