@Disposableoh, of course, I never meant for the people uploading them to be banned, god that's harsh, lol! for the transcode rips, I meant. Sometimes a transcode is all we have, and I'm happy to take it for the time being, and definitely people share them in good will. I just don't know if it's healthy for the quality of the download section to have those rips clogging it up

@chemicalpictures not a bad idea. I don't think the uploaders should be banned unless it's a repeated offense because they do mean well at the end of the day, most of the time. I think yt rips and transcodes are banned in the rules ( ??), but it's not like the noobs read them. Some sort of a huge UPLOAD LEGIT RIPS ONLY sign would be good.

Yeah, thank you for this, was about to bring this subject up myself. But I do think MH shouldn't ban them altogether, but instead to have one stickied thread on DL section for youtube and transcode rips. That way we can keep the DL section clear of bad rips and still have them available for download.

It's like, fine if you want to get that shit for yourself, but everyone can easily get it by going to youtube so no reason to upload it here. By uploading youtube rips here, you're going to make the search function work worse than it already does, probably discourage the possible upload a legit rip and just make unnecessary extra clean-up work for the mods.
