  1. THE NOVEMBERS explains cat's enthusiasm. MOON CHILD seems to be one of those 90's rock groups that were known in Japan (for a short time) but unknown in the rest of the world.

Ash Ra Tempel is really soothing music. I wonder what the media has to say on my income, level of education and homicidal tendencies.

THIS JUST IN: retired MALE police officers caring for newborn TURTLES are 37.3% more likely to suffer from PYROMANIA!

Why does the media insist on putting out news articles like "women in the ages of x and x are more likely to x in case of x" and "young men spend more money doing x and generally have x by the time they reach x" and "people with a higher education have x percentage more of x" etc etc etc as if they want readers to feel fear and adapt their lifestyles according to what the fucking gossip papers say. Let's insist on creating even greater gaps in society than there are already. Damn it all to hell, rotten media. Even more annoying is when this dirt finds a way into a daily conversation "have you heard, studies have shown that irrelevant x and irrelevant x's are more x" I don't care and I'm sorry that you care!

I can't take anyone seriously who uses that line because it shows they have great difficulties seperating a piece of art from a timeline and it's suggesting that we must adapt our expectations to what was considered the norm at that time. If someone uses that line it's hard to find out whether or not he/she was genuinely impressed or entertained by what they experienced or if they lied to themselves and said "I didn't like it all that much but I never witnessed anything like that from other things of that time so I must tell myself it's better than I first thought". It's dishonest to yourself and whoever hears/reads it. Perhaps some people use the line in even stranger occasions when trying to say that something was relatively new for the time. Like for instance a song with rapping in it or a distorted guitar sound in 1955 or something and they confuse "new" from "good" and they use that silly "good for its time" line and it just creates confusion. I hate the line very much. /little useless rant

it was good for its time it was good for what it is it's "pretty interesting" there is no plot, it's bad it was bad because I couldn't identify with the main character it was good because I could identify with the main character it's bad because there are no vocals the lyrics are hard to hear, this is bad there is no good chord progression it's bad because the ending doesn't give any answers it was pretty good because there was enough action Collecting borderline idiotic quotes people tend to use when commenting on a novel/song/film/life/anything. What's the matter beni?

There's an implication there this group makes that those who care enough about their music will attend their concert. Are they mad? There's an implication that only money can show interest. No money and no attendance = no interest? Anyway, those desperate "I want people to pay for my music but they are not paying enough so I'll send messages that they aren't paying enough" cries you hear of all the time are so sad it's almost adorable. Ramblings of a capitalist mind who creates art for money but fails at actually making money so he fails at actually being what he strives for: a capitalist. Isn't that cute.

I listened to that D.I.D. single but it was awful.
  9. Perhaps they're reserving their dose of Engrish for the lyrics. It's not the GazettE without Engrish. I do like how the guys all went for something of their own in the photoshoot. Except the chained one. I think that's the result of disagreement on the songs on this album. They're keeping him alive until the sales numbers are in and then they'll ditch him in the sea. The second picture looks to be inspired by the Alien(s) movie? Or that's just the association I made. I mean this one He's an alien

Some of these shoegaze records are so dreamy, I think if all humans on the planet would listen to it at the same time then mankind would beat gravity and we would all float away into the endless gulfs of space and die.

Video-on-demand services are stuffed full of toxic. Documentaries? Sentimental pieces of shit or adorable propaganda, pick one! Series? Adaptions from "young-adult" pulp and repetitive unfunny comedies. Movies? Here's Jason Statham shooting bad guys and Nicolas Sparks book adaptions! I'm cynical today. Ride of a lifetime or animal abuse, I'm not sure which

She sells out most (all?) of her shows I think. I guess the general opinion is a bit divided (some can't stand her, some love her) but she got a lot of fans over here anyway and is still one of the country's biggest names in pop culture. Everyone knows her. Musically she may not be too similar to the Foo Fighters but in the attitude that shines through in the music there's this unappealing try-hard rock "bitch" that seems to work and appeal to a lot of people. And I always got that same feeling from Dave Grohl's presence in Foo Fighters. Trying too hard to be a cool rockstar yet being careful enough to not reach the border that if you cross it the celebrity status ends as far as the mass media is concerned. A desire for the "best of both worlds"... in that way it's exactly the same as what Anouk seems to be doing. And they're both very good at it too!

I couldn't care less about Pitchfork's music reviews but this little classics TV thing they do is nice. It has interviews with the group's members who talk about the beginnings of Slowdive as well. It's not just on Souvlaki. 50 minutes duration. Slowdive fans got to see this!

Was expecting their hairstyles to resemble crane nests. How disappointing.

Foo Fighters are tiresome and Grohl is a play-it-on-safe radio rockstar making music for folks to whom much greater rock 'n rollers are scary or too far "out there". Anouk in The Netherlands is (in a way) comparable to Dave Grohl. Don't kill me.

Final Fantasy X HD didn't get hate for changes, it was hated for bad changes. So there's going to be Kingdom Hearts 3 news today? Good! Even gets me a little excited.

Did you notice all the similarities with Jurassic Park (1)? With smaller similarities but also in the very comparable big picture, the new movie could also be named "Jurassic Park but in 2015". It could be described as a loose remake but pretending it's a new movie following the first one. It was both enjoyable and awful and shifted very quickly from one end of the spectrum to the other end.

Uwe Boll's third crowdfunding campaign failed. He's sad now. I want to give him a hug. (for those who don't know him, he's one of the worst movie directors in the world today)

I was impressed with Toshiya at the drumkit back in 2009 at the concert when he played most Uroboros songs without error. But I wouldn't recognize a 'unique' drummer if my life depended on it. How unique can one be behind a drumkit anyway?
  21. Yes, it's relevant.

"OK, nice try guys but I'm heading for Metallica. Haters gonna hate" Putting them up against Metallica on the schedule wasn't the brightest idea but then again I bet whoever made the schedule didn't realise who or what Dir en grey was in the first place. Tough luck.
