They wanted to conquer the world, right? You need a world tour to do that... but will it happen?

Let's be honest, X Japan is dead.

So who is this joker.

78rpm record of Rina Ketty's "J'attendrai/Sombreros et mantilles" from 1938. Belle and Sebastian's "Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance" that I got for free from 2015. Not sure on the oldest on the Japanese side (not very old) but the newest is DIR EN GREY's Dum Spiro Spero... from 2011.

Well, that concludes the session, I suppose. ... or not. It's back.

To ban Naaaaani would be a bad idea, on the same level as the existance of this band is a bad idea.

Mid to late 80's is where you'll find the oldest music generally classified as visual kei. D'ERLANGER, X Japan, COLOR, perhaps DEAD END and BUCK-TICK. But even at this point it starts to merge with hair metal and glam rock styles, and even a bit of goth and new wave with some groups. Early 90's as you say is when it became more recognizable as visual kei we know today. Well, you could start at the early stages if you fancy that. Most who get into Japanese visual rock start in the modern era but there really is no general set of rules. Just listen and explore as you please.

Souvlaki is one of the most nostalgic sounding records I've ever heard and I love it to bits. "When The Sun Hits" The Music on Vinyl label is re-releasing the compilation Blue Day on april 18 (record store day) but apparently Slowdive isn't so pleased saying that they didn't know about it until they read it on Twitter and that they won't get much out of it. Shady business.

My favorites are Debut, Post and Vespertine. She is great. beni, you should definitely listen to Post because it has Army of Me, It's Oh So Quiet and a varied collection of other great, memorable songs. It flows real nice and perhaps it's her most dynamic record? There's even a pink vinyl edition taking benicore to the next level.

There must be a lot more than 50 CDs in there.

Thanks for sharing but the only one of your notes I agree with is the low bass.

Slight preference for women's voices. Although both can be annoying or great. I noticed that women in pop music have a tendency to copy the talent show-ish way of singing in which it's obligatory to alter from high to low to high to low at least six times in one line of "I love yooouououououou" as if they feel it is a necessity to showcase one's vocal range, while men in "indie" and "singer-songwriter" scenes today have a way of going all-out male drama queen and put on an act of fragility and fake emotions to camouflage their unremarkable voices in hopes that (mostly) women think this feminine side is attractive...? I hate this desire to prove skill or emotion that singers have. Stop doing that. Stop pretending you have voices like MTV's divas or sensitive baby bunnies, please. Give me genuine voices like SYOKO's or badass ones like Demon Kogure's or get the f... out.

Blogs like visualscandal3 are exactly like the download section on MH except they don't require registration and they're not as neatly organized. Those mumbling "b-but my credits...", get the hell out of here. If you upload music and make a big deal out of "credit", I wonder what your motivations are for sharing. Who gives a damn about credit and "stealing links" (hahaha just... no) other than insecure internet geeks who want to maintain their illusion of a digital reputation? Share music because you feel everyone should be able to enjoy it regardless of how deep one's pockets are. Don't share if you just want your fake internet persona to be plastered all over the www for your precious credit. You know how information on the anatomy of the sperm whale, the involvement of the Kingdom of Tonga in WWII and entire archives of mathematical and scientific problems and solutions and inventions are up for grabs on the internet. That's the life works of hundreds, thousands of scientists and researchers freely available online, but nobody makes a big deal about that. The general opinion is that these are the possessions and achievements of humankind in general and therefore should be available to all. And barely anyone knows the legions of people behind all this other than a handful of famous names. Then you worry about internet credits for something as silly and futile as a little bundle of mostly forgettable songs that you didn't even write and record yourselves. [/rant]

To be honest, calling this "deep scientific content" is ridiculous, and even calling it speculation only goes as far as the final act when the movie goes all out fantasy. I didn't mind the fantasy bit much but it was a strong contrast with earlier in the movie where they were really trying to convince the audience there are theories in science that support what is happening on screen. Making a big deal out of scientific accuracy (as far as it is actually proven!) only to suddenly change course in the end was surprising!

No, no, don't stop there! You've got the momentum, he is at his most vulnerable now, so take advantage of that and show him more, more, MORE.

To summarize the new effort: Anette's voice changed quite a bit and the band recorded some sounds at the zoo.

You know human attention spans have reached an all-time low when it is now considered an accomplishment to not look at a phone during a movie. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry or to shrug it off. Paranoia (1967) Rather unknown Dutch movie about a young man who, shortly after the war, starts to believe he is an ex-SS'er on the run from the police and in his paranoia he hides in his attic, neglecting his caring girlfriend and eventually becoming a danger to others. Adapted from a story by W.F. Hermans. Though not very eventful, it is an interesting portrait of a man slowly losing his mind, becoming antisocial even if there are people who care for him. The girlfriend, played by Pamela 'Rose' (or Pamela Koevoets) was just as fascinating and there were hints of the film exploring her struggles and her unconditional love more but unfortunately the film's focus is the man. It's almost as if the filmmakers were neglecting the girl as much as the main character was! Woah, it's like... poetry. I enjoyed it but feel they could've done more. ★★★☆☆ Interstellar (2014) Little simplistic in its first half, little too unnecessarily 'intellectual' in the second half. It was not difficult to follow at any point, but they took it a bit too far in the second half when the main character played by Matthew McConaughey comes to several strange conclusions no one would logically come to. The director wants to embrace us in mystery and wonder, but destroys it when the main character feeds you all the thoughts you are supposed to think. Some conflicting goals there? I don't know. Visually stunning, well-acted and overall well directed but a bit too manipulative towards to ending, leaving little room for your own imagination. There was also this Matt Damon character who started messing things up quite clumsily, not really contributing anything of interest to the plot. Like an unnecessary barrier in a race course, adding little to the excitement and is just... kind of there. Overall it was an entertaining blockbuster that is less rollercoaster-y than most, and, for once, has some really great pictures to show us that are not too crowded. "Less is more" seems to be the idea of many scenes in this movie and I can appreciate that a lot. ★★★☆☆

I need to find me some anemone, that's one of those groups I wanted to try for a long time. Not sure what Sadie song that is but if it's old it may be good, if it's new it probably isn't. Sometimes life -is- that simple. ;3 BUCK-TICK - Victims of Love Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - The Moon is in the Gutter Bauhaus - Antonin Artaud France Gall - J'entends cette musique Björk - Crying Supercar - Lucky Siouxsie and the Banshees - Night Shift David Bowie - Soul Love France Gall - Laisse tomber les filles Cranes - Beautiful Friend Going with France, short and sweet.

Bergen op Zoom? Really, LOUDNESS? Of all the venues of all the cities in all the country, you walk into that one?

Here's to hoping there'll be a slight change of direction with this one. the GazettE needs to bring something fresh.
