Mazohyst is an eerie song that drags on ...and on.. and on... but other than say that super long yawn-inducing Versailles song, the long, lingering Mazohyst of decadence serves a purpose because it adds this crawling in pain-like atmosphere to the song which is effectively creepy Only I heard the song was something like an anti-abortion statement and if that's true then I don't like that too much

Aw, you overlooked the rest of the message? Any other messages? The cat suffers from selective memory syndrome? I think it's a fine poll, but the possible voting options are filled with needless assumptions. Why would "skills" even have anything to do with why one would prefer to start listening to a full album? Skills =/= enjoyable music. Why would "a good middle ground" be a reason why one could prefer EPs as a start? That doesn't even make sense. A middle ground for what, time investment? Is that even an issue? My implied contribution in addition to the comments on compilations and EPs would be that the poll's option could be better if the assumptions were removed and only the different formats remained. If that wasn't clear I am terribly sorry!!! ! !

The only compilations worth anything are those with non-album singles, b-sides, studio outtakes and curiosities like that (they could be the only way to go for early 60's and 50's music and earlier) EPs can be a good way to start with groups that made a number of great EPs like Cocteau Twins, but are generally not the best choice, even with Cocteau Twins Original studio albums all the way But why are the answers to this poll so awfully phrased, full of strange assumptions? "let me hear their skills from beginning to end"??? I can't vote on this!

You all heard about this Hollywood Vampires group with Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry? They just released their album of cover songs and it sounds ATROCIOUS. That production... those soulless guitars... God have mercy on their souls because they brickwalled it to DEATH. It's unlistenable, you idiots. Are you all deaf? Or who approved this trash? !! ! !!!! Listen for yourselves, but be cautious of ear bleeding

They'll rename themselves to 'Dir en zettE' one day

What the hell, why did Google kill their iconic logo? What happened to the second 'g'? That was like their trademark and now it's gone Why would they let an intern design a new logo and then adopt it as their new official logo?

Chelsea Wolfe's album Abyss single-handedly makes up for all the mediocrities I listened to this year. !! 2015 = Abyss !! Beach House's Depression Cherry that was just released (though it first leaked like a month ago) is nice. It's very modest, I'm glad they didn't take the path as most small artists these days who start writing 'big indie festival music' as a routine as soon as they get some attention Japanese music is nothing but disappointments and an occasional album that surprises because it's not total shit like caligari's 12 but I can't say it'll turn out to be a 'keeper'. It's 'just good' but 'just good' is not good enough

Just tactics to strip you from your L'Argent~et~Matériel.

Console yourself with the thought that you'll never listen to most of the near infinite stream of bad music either.

I was tempted to post in the DOGMA review topic but it would've been a one-word review merely stating 'DOGSHIT' I don't think they would appreciate that

Try to log-out, clear your internet cache and log back in or something. Or do what Licio said. Because it looks fine to me.

Another update! You can finally delete your scrobbles Only individual scrobblings though. They don't want to make it too convenient and allow you to delete entire albums or artists instead. Scrobble by scrobble, that's how we roll folks. Now imagine the teenage girls of today who, in the future, want to delete their embarassing One Direction listening but don't want to make a new account. HA.

80's KEEL is trve KEEL. Ryo listen up man, we live in the year two thousand fifteen and you couldn't do a quick internet search on your band name to see if it wasn't already taken? Shame on you.

DOGMA is such a dynamic record, it's totally not 13 variations of the same song

Check your privilege tbh to be honest

Sonic Youth, The Jesus and Mary Chain and 'X' (either the LA band or pre-X Japan) have always sounded 'cool' to me. Prolapse is either the greatest name or the worst. I like the group but can't make up my mind on the name. You just don't go around and say "yeah well I listen to this and that and some Prolapse too" Don't search for the name and expect band pictures in your internet endeavors. DragonWAPPPPPPPPPER, give or take a few P's, is a definite candidate for worst band name ever. Randy & The Rainbows School Food Punishment The Slits (I like the group, not the name) Butthole Surfers Galneryus sounds like an STD rather than a planet There's plenty of monstrosities to choose from. You can have a field day with this topic.

27 years into her career in 2005 Kate Bush released Aerial, a double album clocking in at 80 minutes, a very good and for much of its duration cinematic experience. And 6 years later she also released 50 Words for Snow which isn't *that* good but still a fine effort. Aerial is where it's at though.

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS GOOD NEWS The 0 scrobbled artists are BACK! When you go to your library like here www.last.fm/user/*yourname*/library/artists?page=10 just change the page number of the URL to one of the last pages of your library and you'll see that the names you once added to your library but never scrobbled are back! They're just not counted anymore on your profile page with the total # of artists. And the new library is still clunky to navigate (why are the buttons to scroll back and forth only at the bottom of the way too large page?! 1/10 for design) but I'm relieved this part of my libary has been restored.

Wagakki is great at playing the camouflage game: they hide the mediocre pop tunes, most of which have great affinity with bad visual kei (they have the dullest chorus melodies), by adding tons of unnecessary fluff. The first step to make Wagakki's music more bearable is to strip down their albums to the core elements and remove lots and lots of flutes and whatsthenameofthisthing instruments. But then you might expose that most of their discography is a joke. And that it's just a gimmick band. Onmyouza is often more straightforward and an example of a group that dresses the way they sound. The band sets their sight at a particular style and don't bullshit around and play with confidence. The downside is like Jigs said, they have a large discography of good songs but not too many of them are particularly memorable. Still Onmyouza leaves Wagakki in the dust, also because Onmyouza's vocalists are way more pleasant to the ear for longer periods of time. It's easier to forgive their same-y melodies when you have two great voices to perform them.
