Yes, I see them all the time. Sure it does not work with all faces. There is a lot of other things wrong with those "lekker gek kort pittig (rood) kapsel" women than just the hair though! The hair is like the icing on the cake. It's the combination of things: chubby faces (a lot of them are fat..ter than usual), ugly cheap accessoires and clothes and make-up applied all wrong. And of course they all look ready to go to the "Huishoudbeurs" or "Libelle Zomerfestivals". It's the entire package and the attitude! If you don't have that attitude, basically if you're not one of the walking dead, then a shorter haircut should be fine. I'm judging people like there's no tomorrow and it's fun.

Perhaps you could start by changing your avatar from some creepy human doll to a real human. It is terrifying. But then again dolls are often a bit creepy.

Talking about short haircuts, I read a short piece on Carey Mulligan in the Elegance magazine (don't ask*) where the photographer accuses her of living in a 'bubble' and implies she's a stuck up diva because she at first refused to wear a wig for a photoshoot. The tone of the piece was almost as if she was attacking her for being happy with her short hair. "Only long hair can create a timeless look" or something like that was the statement of the photographer. I guess it made perfect sense to her to invite a short haired woman to a photoshoot only to demand she wears a wig. Damn these photographer folks, man. It's like they believe that anyone who doesn't immediately surrender to your demands is a diva. I'm getting much more respect for models lately, having to deal with all that demanding crap all the time. *ok I got it for free, I don't think this particular issue is even out yet! I'm way ahead of all of you with my connections and secret privileges ;3

Ex Machina (2015) An ambitious sci-fi movie dealing with AI and morality. Also mortality, but not too much of that. There are a few minor plot related issues near the end of the movie, but the fascinating and timeless concept, the beautiful visuals and the gradual change in atmosphere from chill to chilling make up for most of that. The tiny details that may trigger some questions is likely the result of being a bit overly ambitious! Still a great movie. Tear up the dance floor/10 Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) This movie is the worst kind of rollercoaster: it launches at full speed and slows down at the very end of the ride only to launch at full speed again... but now going backwards. The ride is dull, headache-inducing and void of atmosphere, tension or anything else. A lot of dust and death is all there is. Differs from most action driven blockbusters in that there is no endless exposition, it doesn't hit the pause button a hundred times during the movie to allow for some character to explain what is happening. So there's none of that garbage, so it's good, yes? NO! It makes sure there is nothing to be excited about. Yes, there's a world here created with visuals, but this world is a barren wasteland. There is no mystique, no intriguing places, no characterization. Much dust, much death, no tension, no substance/10 Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter (2014) A socially awkward woman in her late 20's finds a badly worn VHS tape of Fargo (the movie) and genuinely believes there is a treasure buried in the snow waiting for her to discover. She fails to really plan ahead and comes up with slightly autistic solutions to problems she encounters. Dark journey inside a disturbed soul who is really just looking for some satisfaction and meaning in her life. I liked the 'clean' approach in visuals. The images are not crowded, the colors very relaxing. I think this would've benefitted from film, but it works 'ok' in the digital format. Poor Bunzo/10 Morte e Venezia (or Death in Venice) (1971) Despite the gorgeous images this adaption of the book fell flat to me. There was not much to ponder about while glazing over the hotel guests at the beach and all that. It was distant and cold. It is in a way commendable that the filmmakers never wanted to fill up the silence with unnecessary dialogue, but at times I wished for a little more chit-chat because honestly, nothing was happening. Not much characterization either, it was shallow. Fails to impress/10 Cemetary Without Crosses (or Une corde, un Colt...) (1969) One of the better "spaghetti westerns" I've seen. A tragic story about a killing and a revenge. While at first the viewer will undoubtedly side with the widowed woman, it is soon apparent that she is not an angel herself. Which eventually leads to the absence of the 'good guys vs. bad guys' routine, which is good. Very little dialogue in this movie, with several key scenes being entirely silent. With the ending they might have tried something a little "too cool" that didn't quite fit the tone of the rest of the movie, but it was not a big deal. Great western. Tasty spaghetti/10 The Cincinatti Kid (1965) Very decent play on the 'big shot meets big shot and they battle it out for the win' game. Steve McQueen and Edward G. Robinson are two ruthless poker players, the best in the business, and when they meet at the table, sparks fly. Great acting from the two iconic actors. Decent drama surrounding the card game, with some minor characters stirring some trouble. To me it lacked a real sense of danger, it didn't feel like there was much at stake but a reputation at a card game. The romantic side plot wasn't too exciting either and the directing was mostly a play on the safe side. Nevertheless it's enjoyable. Edward G. Robinson is class, one of the best actors of all time. The stakes are not high enough but it's okay/10

In light of recent events, has this affected your judgment on the people you work with at all? Sure but I'm not very fluffy

So, has Shinya ever made an appearance in a hair product commercial?

Bauhaus is great. I think my favorite song is "The Sanity Assassin". It appears as a bonus track on certain CD releases of Burning from the Inside. Unusual for such a great track to be treated like that!

It's just a social media contest. Whoever has the most "fanatic fans" wins. I wouldn't even be surprised if Yoshiki himself or some manager arranges it. It's not the first band battle thing they've won. You can purchase thousands of Youtube "views" if you wanted to. Buying votes for an online poll on a much smaller website shouldn't be very difficult at all.

SHITTY LOSER DICKHEAD BULLSHIT GO AWAY

I was thinking of going to that new The Man from UNCLE movie in the cinema but then I noticed Guy Ritchie directed it and it will be terrible. What a hack.

ALSDEAD banner is the worst: no contrast... it's entirely faded away. It's been in the washing machine a few too many times. A single good banner won't get stale. It will be recognizable and over time become much more valuable than a hundred banners in rotation. But what I really meant was that it would be nice if each individual user could select the banner they prefer. Much like forums have different themes that one can select, but now with banners. That's just an idea though and in no way necessary... only a neat feature.

oohhh so that's 9GBO! how.. angelic Someone's been having a bit too much fun with those white light sources, I suppose they're just lamps but enhanced through photoshop or some program, but the Boris banner is still the one to go with. Why can we not choose one of the banners and set that as the permanent banner, that'd be neat. I'd go with Boris.

Anime is an exposition contest with every single event or emotion that has to be verbally explained at the very least three times. Even well received anime feature films by (pre-)studio Ghibli and co. have these horrible lines of characters talking to themselves like "I can feel my heart beating faster! This is so exciting!" Any attempt at adding depth to the stories don't go much further than "War is bad, okay? Bullying is bad, okay?" and that sort of thing they keep hammering in your face as if you're a 4 year old who needs to be told what is good and what is evil. How does one endure this and enjoy anime?

Oh right. At first glance it seemed like the typical butchering of the English language that visual kei groups tend to do.

The hell does "Happy Unbirthday" even mean?

I just entered the plug.dj room 20 seconds after the last song was played and there were 5 people there... 4... 3... 2... that was odd.

The purpose of live-limited singles and similar trash is to divert attention from the quality of the releases and to rake in some easy spare change. The bad music, usually studio session leftovers, is disguised as special limited rarez so concert visitors are tempted to buy it because "well, now that we're here anyway, we just might... you know... grab the opportunity!" Sly bastards!

The local Bart Smit (toy store chain in the Dutchlands) had a bin with DVDs for sale: Dazed and Confused, Melancholia and some American teen sex comedies. What? Who are they gonna sell that too? Where did they get this stuff? Strange find among the Barbie dolls and Monopoly board games.

Listed as 'experimental post-punk' this song is kinda spooky in its own way. I love this song progression. Very adventurous music if anything! I'm a little obsessed with this record. Plenty of great music on Odyshape. More in line with the rest of the topic is KaS Product. This amazing song (their most popular tune probably) is from the 1981 album Try Out but in its entirety I prefer the 1983 album By Pass. "Try out both of these, don't by pass any!" There's a little more to their discography but I haven't gotten to that yet.

Just one casualty: a dog And I don't know where they got the '20 wounded' from initially because it turns out that by a miracle, no one was wounded! Someone pulled that number out of a top hat or something. Sensationalism? False information on Twitter? Well done journalists! RIP dog

He said "look here junior, don't you be so happy and for heaven's sake, don't you be so sad!"

Yes, well, I just looked at the name change topic and according to that esse never changed back to beni! So, can we conclude this beni is an imposter capitalizing on esse's old name and that the real beni, now named esse, is somewhere... out there?
