Diabolos, Akatsuki, Dreambox, Vanitas and Ruten no Tou previews sound amazing. Ruten no Tou just has to be an epic closer. The Blossoming Beelzebub.. what. Crappy preview. But my faith has been completely restored... many previews sound excellent!

No The Netherlands is quite surprising. Maybe they didn't like us, hehe.

I think the drums sound fine to be honest Didn't buy Jade... never buy digital music Probably gonna buy some other merch next saturday at their concert though... if they bring something cool The Jade PV is awesome, it finally feels like a finished product, and the atmosphere is great

It's safe to say songs like Different Sense and Hageshisa are heavier than 99% of all other music. They're agressive, dark, fast paced, lots of growling and screaming... they're heavy. No doubt about it. Sure, there is even heavier music of course, but that doesn't mean this isn't. It's definitely not cool to pretend you "know" more about so called heaviness of music... because you don't. Anyway, the first minute of DS is still as disgusting to me as before... I just can't get into this stuff. Lotus has kind of grown on me by now... even though the song feels incomplete, listening to it right after DS is a huge change in a positive way. Renews my faith for a good album.

I also have a thing for girls with sexy and at the same time geeky glasses. In fact, glasses look good on most people. I really don't understand those who go for contact lenses. A good looking pair of glasses that fit the shape of your face beats the hassle of getting those lenses in the right position any time. I would definitely get some when my eyes start to go downhill. Which will most likely happen because my parents' both have glasses. But I really don't care.

DIM was cool. A couple of non-single songs on there were better than the singles. Plus an album feels more like a complete package. It's a finished product. While a stream of singles does not satisfy like that.
-
Their looks have never set them apart from the rest. They've always had an average visual kei dress code. I just hope this new mini will be more diverse. If every song sounds the same again, I give up on them...

Black Veil Brides don't dress visual kei but they still are visual. It's a "visual rock festival", not a "visual kei rock festival". Marilyn Manson wasn't visual kei either, but visual nonetheless so he fit in as well. It's like: Every visual kei band is visual, but not every visual band is visual kei. Every cow is an animal but not every animal is a cow. If that makes sense. I actually made that LOL comment to express how badly those guys suck. And I'm also quite surprised there are still people who care about them. I should've added that in the post though.

Black Veil Brides LOL Anyway, there needs to be some decent equipment there this time around to record it all. But seeing the festival probably got smaller... I doubt it. :/

Holy Grail feels like a "we need to get an album out so what the hell, here it is" kind of thing. Some songs are so out of place. That Ice Scream thing was strange, it's more usable as bonus track material entitled "brain farts". The cheesy ballad sung in English was UNBEARABLE. Not even because of the English, but because of the cheesiness. There's nothing wrong with predictable and cliche songs on an album. Hell, there are plenty which are enjoyable exactly because of the no-nonsense, fuck everything and let's rock attitude. But DAMN, this was cheesy TIMES INFINITY. Faith and Decision was cool, maybe a tad too long, but cool. I don't really remember the rest to be honest. And that's why I think it's a "we need to get an album out so what the hell, here it is" kind of thing.

These guys got their bandname from the "The 3rd Birthday" videogame? Smart move if you want to be found on the internet. Everyone's gonna find the game instead...

Sophia is the best thing that happened to this band. Before Sophia they were average at most while some songs were just plain bad. Sophia turned them in the right direction IMHO.

So apparently he was very drunk and driving faster than 130 mph before he crashed the Porsche. Pity about the Porsche.
-
Cool, but I was hoping they would now release an album

Most of the bonus tracks on Uroboros sucked balls anyway. In fact, only the Japanese versions of Dozing Green en Glass Skin were cool... but even those already existed as singles. The other bonusses were forgettable and completely unnecessary. I have no faith in remixes and shit on DSS. I'm hoping to hear songs like Vinushka, Ware, Yami Tote and Inconvenient Ideal on the album.

That's pretty cool. Should've been the regular edition cover though.

Different Sense ends up to be a big disappointment. It takes too long for the "chorus" to start, which is a hundred times better than the lame intro. The transitions between different parts of the song are good, but the screaming throughout the song indeed feels cheap, I agree. Not what I expected. Tsumi to kisei is much like BBUUURRGGEHRHEGHHUUWWRWRGGHGHUUR from start to finish. What the hell. It's hard to even recognize the original song. Red Soil (live), I don't care much about. The album version on Uroboros is better.

Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain Very beautiful film. My only complaint is the poster/dvd cover which does not represent the atmosphere of the movie and the personality of the main character.. AT ALL. It's so misleading. When I looked at it the first time I wasn't expecting anything but a cheap child's movie with too much fantasy and a cliche story. But this movie is much more than that. Watching this I was absolutely fascinated by the main character. The way she thinks, does things, her humor, her shyness... beautiful. It's like there's not even an actress... it's her! 9/10 Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides I watched this in 3D and that was a mistake. Action scenes are hard to follow, dark scenes are too dark thanks to the glasses, 3D does not add even anything here. What a waste. Blackbeard is a cool new character but... you don't get to know ANYTHING about this guy. Basically, all characters in this movie lack depth. Any sort of depth. And the story is only so-so. The funny parts are no where near as funny as in some other Pirates movies. There are some enjoyable moments in this movie and it's not a total disaster (although I think I would've enjoyed it more without the 3D thing), but it's a disappointment nonetheless. 5/10 Fast Five Lazy story. Only written to have as much action scenes as possible. Which are all way over the top and rather laughable than enjoyable. That some events in these kind of movies can be unrealistic, that's commen knowledge, but THIS unreal? Event after event I could only think "yeah, right...". You can see the audience they aimed for is an average of 12 years old. Boys who think pimpin' cars and good looking whores women make a good movie. 2/10

J-pop trance female fronted melodic death metal to dance on or to headbang to - you decide. I can't even imagine what has be going on in the head of a "KNOW YOUR GENRES!" fellow who gets butthurt when someone gets the genre of their favorite band wrong. Would he be fapping to such a long description of this album's genre, or would their head explode because they cannot comprehend? Anyway, the most important thing is.. THEY MAKE IT WORK. The seemingly impossible combination of tons of musical elements are made possible. One second you'll be hearing typical female-fronted metal influences (like Nightwish for example) and the next vocal line is one a typical Japanese girl group would use to dominate the Oricon Charts with, quickly interrupted by agressive death metal screams supported by fast paced electronic music. What the hell is this even. But I like it. You gotta give it a try. Rating: 8/10

Blue Flame is just plain bad. The chorus is only annoying as fuck and I don't want to hear it ever again. Only decent part is the solo, but nothing makes me wanna listen to this a second time. Another annoying chorus in Zankyou White Out... but it's a tiny bit more listenable and the solo is actually good enough to listen to a second time around. I can't remember what the original G3 song was like, but it probably was good because this remake is too. The chorus is not annoying like in the other two songs and there's actually something interesting going on here. The transisions between the different parts of the song make it nice, and the slower, calmer part in the middle is the icing on the cake. They did a nice job with G3 but the other two songs are forgettable.
-
Wow that was unexpected! I'm curious what they'll do now then... more singles and albums after this one?
-
This sucks. Once was my favorite band. Never got to see them live... such a shame. Hopefully Hizumi will recover and there will be a reunion sometime.

So Jon isn't bad. But he is nothing special either. It's a voice we've all heard before. Many singers have a similar sound. And this voice is nothing compared to GACKT's, which is way more powerful. A little fake with the overuse of vibrato all the time, but still very powerful. Jon lacks energy. I can't see this combination going right.
