Obscure was a huge disappointment. They destroyed it, I agree. It could've been done so much better but they made it worse instead. Made me lose my faith in their re-recordings. Still very interested in the new songs though. Uroboros was magnificent so expectations are high. Looking forward to it.

The members of this band had some good musical ideas before they joined the band. Then their first releases really showed the cool stuff they thought of. Now they're completely out of inspiration. They used it all. Emptiness is all that's left and boring straightforward mediocre music is the result. That's what I think of this band now. New single is something along the lines of a 4/10.

I was getting excited... but just one concert sucks.

I really don't understand all the discussions about the genres in the rock/metal area. There are so many small labels thrown around everywhere, it's utterly ridiculous. Nu-metal, metalcore, death metal, deathcore, heavy metal, black metal, hard rock, what the hell guys. If it rocks, it rocks. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Nobody really gives a damn what corner you throw a band in. I would like the new DIR EN GREY single to sound good to me, that's it.

Black Empire was kicking ass (especially the title song, really awesome). My expectations are pretty high, but I have no doubt they'll be able to deliver another great album. Really looking forward to this!

Born This Way was bad, but Judas... MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THIS I'm starting to really appreciate her "old" music now. Her new shit makes it look like she actually had talent once and actually cared about making good (or at least decent) songs.

Going to a Within Temptation concert about a year after the latest I went to, to see the whole show has not changed a tiny bit. Even the setlist was nearly identical. They played one new song, that's it. I was really disappointed in WT back then and felt I went to visit "factory WT" rather than "band WT". Their new album made me like them again though. And the other bad experience was having to leave early to catch my train because the band started like 45 minutes late. Crappy, but public transportation is very bad over here too once it gets late, so also that is to blame... I don't bother with moshpits or trying to get as close to the stage as I can, so I'm not bothered by long haired metal dudes and screaming fangirls as much. I do hate the screaming girls when the band is playing a ballad, I mean... SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU'RE RUINING IT BITCH. But that's a general complaint and not so much a personal experience.

I keep telling myself I have to try that album with the "Set Fire to the Rain" song, because it's on top of the charts here and it isn't shit. Which is needless to say very surprising because 99% of our charts is shit. But this is actually kinda nice. But nobody ever talks about any other song... that makes me wonder if she's just a singles-artist for a singles-audience who doesn't put much effort into a full album. But I gotta try the album first... *off to google*

I really like the sample. Promises to be a good CD.

Faster than expected. Hope it's good.

... and besides I think Tivoli REALLY wants to keep them in Tivoli. Never has such a huge Japanese band performed in The Netherlands and Tivoli was well known for all their Japanese rock concerts. Losing X Japan to some other venue would be a big loss for that image they built. I think we should be really happy.. such an intimate concert for a band as big as X Japan. And with that low ticket price. Plenty of Japanese people would be jealous! CANNOT WAIT

NO FUCKING WAY!! WHAT I can't believe my eyes

This preview is not bad, but it's not exciting either. It's exactly what you would expect but emptier. Hopefully the full thing has more interesting parts.

What, this isn't a video? 3D and audio, wth?
-
Whatever day they choose, there'll always be people who have other things to do. The "no more announcements now" thing is a bit stupid though. Either announce the full tour or just wait till you get everything sorted out.

This thread makes me want Twitter. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Finally a European tour. Please make them come to The Netherlands too. Even though I would consider England and Germany.
-
Are there going to be VIP tickets for Utrecht as well?
-
I don't think his singing is bad, but let's be honest, it's not very good either. Previews do sound better than expected, that's a good thing.

I liked RC Succession's cover of 'Paint It Black' by The Rolling Stones. And Kiyoharu's cover of 'Bohemian' but I forgot the original. I thought Kiyoharu was better anyway. Ryuichi Kawamura's cover of 'Serafine' by DEAD END is quite nice too, but doesn't come anywhere near the original.

A show in The Netherlands would be cool. Is that a possibility?
-
I'll never buy digital releases. This one's no exception. Downloading from the internet, here we go.
-
Last time I went to see them the European tour was called "FEAST OF V SENSES" or something and they played all Uroboros songs except one. So yes, the tour will probably be VERY connected to the new album but the album name is probably different.

the GazettE stands far above that crappy band. Hopefully they will keep it like that.
