Let me go ahead and say that the one downfall to this single is the instrumental of Shooting Star. It's lovely but during the A-melo, there isn't much going on besides the drums and the electronically distorted guitar...unless that's Saga. On the second verse you can hear Tora playing really quietly in the back. Shooting Star wasn't what everyone was expecting, but it's exactly as I predicted. Out of the 3 title tracks, Daybreak was going to be loved, Shadowplay would be the crown track, and Shooting Star would be in 3rd ranking. I, personally, love the song. It is rather relaxing and it does sound a little R&B but Shou sounds lovely and I'm not one to focus on Shou. Last time that happened was Hanagasumi from [9]. While I do love it, it is my least favorite of the 3 singles. Affection is a step in the right direction. This is the rock Alice Nine that I constantly want. There are some badass riffs, Shou sounds a little aggressive in his own way, there are some really awesome bass lines, and that guitar solo from Tora is just full of energy. I know most aren't going to like the auto-tuned "Come on, Come on, Come on" but I don't mind, I think Shou uses it very playfully here. I also love that the chorus isn't a chord progression but more of a riff than anything. I love the live version of Kasumi so that just bumped this single up a lot!

Ah, that's quite alright. I understand it as well as a fellow musician but I'm a little desperate with these guys.

That was just absolute gold. That 2nd to last paragraph was just a beautifully done description of how The GazettE make their music.

Would you care to share the album with us? I simply can't wait a month for my copy to arrive because i'm too cheap to order with fast shipping as it is.

Interesting....I'd prefer a full new album, but oh well. I'll take it Edit: So... It's the my top 2 songs from Senkou which should have been included as a whole, the whole Stargazer single, GEMINI trilogy, and every new song from their three 2011 singles... I reiterate, i would prefer a full album to be released instead.

Definitely love Red Thread to death!! Best thing they have made this decade. Actually excited for this album, I just hope it's not like Biran was where Abyss was an awesome track and the rest of the album didn't live up to that song.

I have 5 current obsessions: NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST Coldrain Vistlip BREAKERZ Last is Leprous, probably the most awesome metal band to come out of America I believe. They don't play your heavy ass songs, they play more of a melodic metal than anything.

Absolutely perfect! Can we all just agree that the way the song builds up is so freaking awesome!!!

I think as long as it's Hizaki and Teru, it will always sound like Versailles. I love Versailles sound so even if they do sound similar, I love it and the new vocalist has a great voice so I am excited for Jupiter

Out of these 2 very amazing bands, which one delivers the most unique, melodious sound to the VK scene? I, myself, love Amber Gris, but 9GOATS BLACK OUT has the most amazing music in the japanese music scene, to my ears. What are your thoughts?
-
Yes!! Fucking love it! Domestic Crisis, Sphere, Aster, Pandemic, Obligation, and A Day To Remember are shaping up to be my favorites off of this album!
-
9GOATS BLACK OUT have yet to do anything wrong.... besides disbanding. This is exactly what a best-of album should be, take note "every other band"

An Cafe has always been to me what SuG is. You CAN judge a book by its cover. Track names don't help me get excited for them

The intro chorus to Stargazer had a sort of poppy side to it but once that A-mero came in, it got a bit heavy. The chorus isn't one of my favorites but the song is really awesome~ I thought it to be in the realm of Tsuki ni Juusei but I was wrong. The breakdown is really amazing and I love the way they incorporated that piano melody. I do think that Missing sounds a lot better than Stargazer just from that preview. Sounds darker, but not heavier

I'm not going to do a song by song review of this album but I finally got a good quality copy of the album and finally got to give it a good listen. I loved their single Honne and for some reason skipped their single Kakusei Distortion. I had no idea what I was getting myself into here. When they released their first album with Taizo in the line-up, I was really happy to hear some nostalgic Zoro-riffs and solos mixed in with Kra's jazzy, happy songs. Naru to Torute (I think that's its name) had me hooked for a while and then completely lost me. However, the opposite happened with Joker's Kingdom. I thought all the songs on here were excellent. Some very jazzy songs like Tokoyo no Kimi, Regret, there were some very rock, aggressive songs like Resistance, SMLT. There were also some lovely ballads such as Hoshi no Sakyuu and my favorite song off the album, Utopia. I was hoping for some more ZORO nostalgic things on here from Taizo but the only things I can find so far are on the single tracks Honne and Kakusei Distortion, but other than that, this album was a really good album and I absolutely love it. I didn't find a single song on here to be less than great. Can't wait to hear some new stuff from Kra soon.

Finally the guitarists don't look like they got raped by their makeup artists.

Very nice, I would have picked the same choice as yours 1. Coldrain- No Escape 2. Crossfaith- Fiction in Hope 3. Crossfaith- Leviathan 4. Alice Nine- GEMINI-I-the void 5. Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas- Defeat and Beat 6. Crossfaith- Omen 7. Vistlip- SINDRA 8. Coldrain- Never Look Away 9. D=OUT- Kabuki Disco 10. ONE OK ROCK- Let's take it someday WTF? I shuffled all 2200 songs of mine and got 3 Crossfaith and 2 coldrain. Leviathan to me has got to be THE best song to be made from Crossfaith. All their past material is absolutely amazing but Leviathan blew me away. That ending section after when the song slows down was just so epic. Coldrain's Never Look Away is my 2nd best coldrain (Inside of Me is my top coldrain song) song so I almost chose it but Crossfaith won

The post above me is what we are going to be expecting for another year until the Versailles comparisons stop. They better not make a song with the words "Choir" or "Rose" I'm kind of excited for the PV. It always helps to have a visual aid for the first releases of a band. Would've helped out if GALEYD had made a PV for their first mini album or UNDIVIDE haha,

Hmm, interesting... I loved their recent album a lot so I am expecting something great here!

Oh. man. A tough one for me. Well, I absolutely love D.I.D, they have been awesome and they used to be just as awesome back when they were para:noir... but, Akane's voice always autotuned and just doing that same high pitched screaming and MMMMMMMM growls gets annoying. I just got into NB and HIro's voice just blows me away non-stop. I can tell you that the pace and fast-action instrumentation in their song Rise Above from their Last Relapse single beats most D.I.D songs for me. When it comes to heaviness, D.I.D is more of the janitoraI-style, sweeping all around and then breakdowns with most songs unless they decide to have some sweeping solos. Nocturnal Bloodlust's breakdowns actually sound different and distinguished, plus the guitar work is absolutely spectacular. Both bands are amazing but in the end, I'm more excited for Nocturnal's new album than any release from D.I.D

Interesting, they played Scarlet, out of all the songs

Anyone else feel like [worms]'s intro sounds a lot like SuG's L.E.D Ghosty (and there is your first comparison to old songs) Honestly, people started comparing it to their past mini-album because of the name which made my expectations for this be as high as I had for that mini. Slivers.exe was a bomb mini album, this one is sort of all over the place. I honestly don't know how I feel about this release mainly because it has both my new favorite Mejibray song and least favorite. I thought Akercock was going to be the black sheep of Mejibray's discography, but [worms] is just as bad. I mean, was there really any variation to that song at all, the chorus was horrible. The only thing interesting was how there was whistling background singing section throughout the verse before the final chorus Aside from that abysmal song, Mejibray managed to make Insomnia, claiming the throne as my top favorite song by them. The intro is just powerful and I really love the melody throughout this whole song, it really doesn't lose any momentum, even during the small gap before the chorus and guitar solo. The bass is really something amazing as well, I just love it so much
