Awesome, loved V to death!

Now I'm not in the mood to really write a huge in depth review or anything like that, but, I would just like to say that this album was my entry to this band. This album is the first thing I have listened to from coldrain, a band who I had previously avoided due to some pretty dumb reasons. This album was absolutely amazing to me, it had some pretty amazing songs: The Revelation, The War is On, Time Bomb, Chasing Dreams. All the other songs to me were all pretty good but not amazing. This album has some really amazing choruses which are just the highlights of most songs and I love that this album isn't full of heavy breakdowns all around, but it includes some pretty great, yet short, guitar solos or awesome melodic breaks between the songs. I went back to their previous releases such as The Enemy Inside and Through Clarity, my favorite song from Coldrain has to be Inside of Me from Through Clarity (it even helped inspire some new songwriting for me). I can definitely tell that in their new album, the drums sound a lot tighter, and the guitars are most focused on a melody than trying to keep the rhythm of the song with riffs. All in all, I have found an amazing new band to follow, some great new songs to jam out to, and an addition to my "Top albums of 2013"

Everyone already has a bad opinion of Shooting Star, which worries me on how everyone will take the following: During a message from Shou towards the fans about J-MELO and the song they worked on with J-MELO, they played Affection in the background. It was only about 40 seconds and it sounds like your typical A9 rock song with a catchy B-melo phrase. However, at the end of the preview, Shou uses some autotune. I can already feel the shit storm to come from this...

Isn't this the same crap that kept happening to Para:noir? I call dibs on the scenario that they disband and reband after one of their guitarists decides to leave

They are in a new band in case you didn't know called Evanpony with some new member called Evan Taubenfeld. I think the only one would be Kaggra. The only other two that I have cared for that have disbanded is DELUHI and 9GOATS BLACK OUT and I was fully in love and had all their discography so I guess they wouldn't count.

I highly doubt the record company dictates the kind of music they make. It seems no one likes this song, even though to me this song is better than any previous ballads since after-GEMINI besides Ray

^I think that might be Affection I don't know, I really feel like the instruments were left a little behind and just left Shou up to the task to carry the weight of the song. The PV seems to be like it's a special song to Alice nine, I like it, it's probably up their with a great PV like BLUE FLAME. Maybe expectations were set to high due to SHADOWPLAY but I think this is a good song. Not going to lie though, kind of not that interested in the instrumental of Shooting Star, Shou is the prominent subject in this song and it's kind of like the A(ACE) instrumentals for Sakura and Phantom of the Snow from their new single, the vocalist is important.

Haha, sorry, I never got around to making the review section. Most of the time people don't post their review for Alice Nine. SHADOWPLAY is definitely up there with GEMINI stuff, the atmosphere presented in this song is absolutely dark, yet beautiful. Saga's piano melody is so essential to the song and I love it. The guitar solo has to be one of the best ones they've made not only because it's a duet solo from Tora and Hiroto but because of how it just explodes after the final line of the chorus "mimi ni nokotta." Like Sai stated, I was super sketchy when I heard Shou was composing this song since his only other composition was my least favorite A-side (still a great single though) Scarlet started off kind of with some weird intro that threw me off but once that bass came in, I felt the same way I felt when Himitsu's acoustic guitars started in DAYBREAK single. This one sounded more like a dark power ballad than anything to me, especially because of the way the chorus sort of felt slow. After the amazing guitar duet solo, the song hits its best part, Shou's melody changes, the guitars and drums take a different path, and we end with a lovely clean melody from Tora and Hiroto which showcases these two majestic beings' ability to create something beautiful. The instrumental was just like a Christmas present that you've been asking for but never got until now. My rating for this single:

Super excited for this release and I was wondering when they would announce this information. I'm hoping for a preview of either song soon. The The cover art reminds me of RAINBOWS, it'll be hard to top SHADOWPLAY but hopefully this beats out Daybreak

So far, Major SCREW has released nothing but good things. Of course I can only account for half of those releases because Teardrop is nowhere to be found. It must be taboo to share that xD really excited for this release and hopefully this turns out better than Biran was, only liked a little over half of those songs.

Not gonna lie, love that intro, nice breakdown and transition from it. The song felt a bit slow, but I really like it. PV wise, love the air kick the new guitarist does once the intro transitions into the A-mero.

I'm really into Revolution, It resembles "I'll be there for you" which ranked for me as Song of the Millennium with the awesome guitar solo and the a really sick riff after it. The other 2 songs weren't much. By the way, they were announcing on twitter that their new look is a killer one that everyone should watch out for, here it is:

Lilly of the valley, fuck yeah!! So they have almost remade their whole Para:noir discography. How come when a band does something unusual, there is always that one person that says "I bet they're signing onto PSC now because of that or their sound" First, why does it always have to be PSC, it's always been wrong. B, I just want an answer, not a huge uprising so let's not make this something big.
