Can someone direct me to the topic where you can vote for the "best album of 2012" "best single of 2012" "worst band of 2012" and all that other stuff? I would like to participate if it's not too late and also, they are very entertaining to read and would like to see what the results were this year.

SO F***ING AWESOME tcBBNB5JTOQ

You guys must have been listening to a different song because that was good

I'm sorry but is amber gris really good? Never heard or tried them before and I've been meaning to get into them but wouldn't know where? I guess this single is a good place to start since it sounds good from the small preview

Tear drop again... I would have a problem but SCREW's tear drop seems to be the best a-side i have heard from them since DEEP SIX and Sadie's tear drop is an exceptionally beautiful song so I have hopes for this one particular song from Royz...just because of the title.

Fuck. Me. Glorious!

I agree with Number Girl. Rinkaku was a fresh change from their usual stuff cause you don't get many songs from DeG that are clean like this. I love their usual stuff with the heavy riffs and the growls but Rinkaku is absolutely lovely. The lyrics are something else and the music is astounding. The one thing I disliked was the outro part. It felt like another part of another song, almost disjointed compared to the rest of the song. Uhh, I got into DeG in 2010 with their release of Lotus so unfortunately, I don't believe that I have heard Kiri to Mayu before so I liked the song. The guitars are excellent, really cool guitar solo in here Don't care much for the remix xD

About time!! I kept hearing on their Alice Nine Channel episodes that they were in the studio but nothing was ever announced

Unlike what seems to be the major consensus, I liked Karma, but was completely apathetic* to their singles prior to this album. Got a good word from a friend about this album and decided to try it out. Besides the singles which aren't bad but aren't as good as the album songs, this album is really supreme! Some really great songs, they have some variety to them such as Pure Black with it's jazzy sound. Songs like Shuuchuku no Kane who had some nice mellow tones, and others like Mr. Liar who were just plain badass! Now, with that being said, 2 songs stood out above the rest....by a lot! Kyouran kyousou ~21st Century Baby~ and シャングリラ. 21st Century is so sick, with this sort of egyptian pinch sound to the guitars, Tatsurou's rapping and growls, it's a non-stop pump song for me. シャングリラ is just a really dark, epic song that amazed me from start to finish. The lyrics are truly something else if you haven't checked them out~ ムックのアルバムSHANGRI-LA= 9/10

Only 10 out of all the songs on the Limited Edition are songs that I like... That's sad

f*** yeah!

Excited for this, this really set the bar high.

Album is titled jen:ga and their One-man is titled, "Tower of Jenga" Didn't see that coming xD Excited to hear this album! Eclipse was a freaking awesome song and it pumped me up, wasn't a fan of the b-side where Hitomi is just talking throughout the whole song with some nice music in the background

Like the sound of Silent Difference, I'm going to try to find their discography.

Can't wait.

It seems that going major was a pretty good option for them. Love what I'm hearing here, excited to hear the rest of this single

Going to give my list of the good albums that came out this year that I loved and I'll try to post a link of my favorite song but if I can't find it, I'll just list it. 1) A(ACE)- Tales for the Abyss iGsD7-QS1gA Truly amazing band with some amazing compositional work. This album really starts off with every single they have released and then gets into their new stuff. However, I'm not complaining since these guys can't put out anything bad. 2) Alice Nine- 「9」 emfub0GiQ04 Alice Nine have usually been your standard Japanese rock band (not a bad thing here), but when they release albums, it's usually a pretty damn awesome CD. GEMINI was absolutely astounding with some beautiful songs and the underlying theme throughout the whole album plus, the 12 minute trilogy song. However, 9 is them stepping away from their concepts and just flat out rocking out. 3)Daizystripper- AIR 5RvoqMbU2qE Seriously, when has Daizystripper ever put out a single bad release? Even KISS ME which was the cheesiest, lovey dovey pop song they have released was good to me. This album keeps my spirits up and my faith in them has never faltered. This album, the 5th one in a span of 2 years, is really good and you should give them a try Favorite song: Endless song and Aquarium 4) D.I.D- Providentia. 9JiwMVtZZyI Para:noir was my heavy electronic love, now D.I.D is in the game. This was one hell of an eargasmic album full of some fast riffs, chugging, heavy breakdowns, and awesome guitar solos. Akane's voice is still autotuned or whatever but Akane and the guy from Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas are the only ones whom I have no problem hearing that. 5) The GazettE- DIVISION CJ82aNgUpiI Well, TOXIC was a good album but honestly, it wasn't their best. It's probably my least favorite of my album in my standards... in everyone else's standards that's a good album haha. DIVISION was a perfected TOXIC and it blew me away. 6) DEAD END- Dream Demon Analyzer 7pk3Z6JLht0 rmf3G0IKLiU These guys have been around since what, the late 80's? Yet, they are still absolutely amazing. The vocals are truly powerful, the guitar work is simply to die for, and the bassist has some really amazing basslines. You should all check them out and their recent singles are truly awesome Favorite songs: SSS and Angel (2nd video above) 7) MUSE- The 2nd Law Ek0SgwWmF9w Forgive my bluntness here, but MUSE is without a dubbed as the "best rock band worldwide" and I have to agree 100% with this. I have so many favorite bands but these guys put out simply the most amazing stuff! Matt's vocals are truly out of this world hitting amazing falsettos with a truly amazing, emotional voice, his guitar work is insanely creative and their electronic sounds are mind blowing. Galneryus- Angel of Salvation oTCk2tD-IiY Nothing needs to be said beside, if you don't know them, you are missing out on truly amazing music. 9) THE KIDDIE- The [5] 1_K4KUFDusw THE KIDDIE did really amazing with this album, not one song disappoints and it even sounds like they really are following in the footsteps of a more mature band with a slightly heavier sound while maintaining their slightly poppy sound 10) UNDIVIDE- UNDIVIDE tsktV3ArjNI Leda's new band after DELUHI. Was waiting for something new and good to come of him and I get something completely better than what I expected. Kihiro is still some vocals that I have to get used to, but, damn their music just pumps me the f*** up! 11) Matenrou Opera- JUSTICE WxCie8nujj8 Their first major album and it was a really good one at that. There was much worry as to whether or not it was going to be good even though the singles, Helios/ Otoshiana no Soko ha konna sekai, were good indication of how the album would turn out. In the end, just another awesome Matenrou Opera album with their great sound. Definitely check it out, especially so you can compare it to their new album in the works due sometime in early 2013, or so I read on Ayame and Sono's twitter. 12) UNiTE- Meaning VM_C_vEq6a0 UNiTE was a band I had no interest with when they were Canzel and at the beginning of UNiTE, but after hearing Yakusoku, I was so pulled in by these guys, I tried out their first album and fell in love with Epilogue. Every single they released after was just amazing. My favorite song being the 2nd track on their Yakusoku single. This album was just the what I needed to secure my love for them. Favorite song: It was hard to choose but it has to be Cinema Verite, Meaning, Ao to Shiro no kotoba, and life time relation And finally: 13) 9GOATS BLACK OUT- Calling Ky1X41elsMs This is truly the saddest disbandment that I have encountered in my life...wait, not true, DELUHI was...nevertheless, VK suffers a massive blow with the departure of this band. They are truly musical geniuses. This album was their final gift to the world, 6 days before Christmas, and it's a wonderful one. Panta Rhei is the highlight of this album. Simply beautiful, it is the epitome of the sound that 9GOATS BLACK OUT gave us. Definitely check this album out, and if you haven't heard these guys, check them out. Favorites: You, Panta Rhei I'm amazed that from the posts I have seen before mine, I haven't seen Galneryus and UNDIVIDE on here xD

Hell yeah, Nikuai Antithesis (?) was freaking bomb! While STAND UP wasn't as impressionable, it was still a good single and I was thoroughly pleased with 奈落. Psyched to see there is a Part IV to the tracks they have been doing since before Kakera album. The one on Genjitsu (III) wasnt as good as the one on Kakera (II) but I love those songs. Maybe you would know this, but what was part I? I don't know and it's driving me nuts. Hmm, I'm not sure. I've always tried to figuring out. I though the song might have been in their Gokusaishiki album but I never saw it. I always tried finding a song that ended close to how II-Kaijuu began but never saw it. I don't think it was Ring-a Ring-o, that was just an awesome song they made in their Rashinban mini.

So Undertake is a pretty bomb single. Hopefully those saying Signal are losing their heaviness and going soft listen to this because this is clearly not soft at all! Undertake is pretty bomb, yeah we don't get nearly as many screams as we did in GLOW BACK OVER SCARS but damn this song is good. The paused instruments while the rhythm guitarists hits us with that melody and how it just blows up from there was pretty awesome! DEAD CROW is clearly a pretty heavy, awesome song. The structure of the song reminds me of GLOW BACK OVER SCARS what with "chorus-sick bass solo-guitar solo" but it doesn't sound like they are repeating themselves. Guitar solo is pretty awesome here as well, good length to it. Remake of M-E-L-T is even heavier than the original, you can totally hear all the different parts in the new version and the guitar solo is remodeled. The last riff at the end gave it a nice change up with the change of the speed of it compared to the original one All in all, SIGNAL did amazing with this single and I am not at all worried about their 2 new singles coming out, I welcome them with open arms 10/10

Rei~ His vocals had some funk in them in aim when he wasn't growling.

Super thrilled!

Still waiting on undertake here but I am excited for more SIGNAL stuff. Showed Undertake preview to my friend who is distant from japanese music and he loved it~ They are amazing!

Cover art is pretty Nightmare quality, promo pic is really badass! Hitsugi, I can't see him too well but he looks really awesome. I can't wait for the individual pictures and for some previews~

I used to love Plastic Tree so much. I remember how much I love Moonlight single but once the ammonite album came out, I wasn't even able to get through it. Didn't care much for シオン, but once I heard くちずけ, I fell back in love. This album truly brought out my love for them again, some really great songs on here. My favorites being あバンギャルど, てふてふ, and ピアノブラック. 9/10 I have a question if someone can PM the answer. Is the characterization of Avant Guarde correct? あバンギャルど?if so, does anyone know why the first and last characters are in hiragana while the other letters were written in katakana?
