  1. I don't like cosplay and I think it's especially silly to cosplay a real person as opposed to a character. I'd much rather see someone do their own style than directly copy someone elses, but people should do whatever they want. I don't attend cons either, maybe that has to do with it.

  2. Haha that is a bit ridiculous. Guess since it's so close to the show date I guess they couldn't manage a proper online sale... Was hoping there wouldn't be VIP this time but too bad... Laughing at the fact that there's 100 tickets though lol.

  3. Not all people act like this, but these girls were rude indeed... and I saw comments after this, they still keep blaming Steff for being a bad manager, instead of looking at themselves.

Yeah I know, hence why I wrote a certain number of people. I feel really bad for the fans who do behave and have to miss out now. I don't understand how these girls don't realize that sending someone hatemail isn't gonna get you anywhere.

@stylelover It started with the VIP ticket sale, Steff always accepts payments trough banktransfers only (it's the most common way to pay for tickets in Germany, larger ticket sites use it too). Some of the people didn't understand how to transfer the money and thought they'd have to pay a large fee to make the transfer. Instead of doing the sane thing and calling their banks or sending a polite email to Steff, 1/3 (!!) of the people who bought the vip tickets started sending hate mail. About how he was a greedy German fascist and how they hated Germans, etc.

Steff posted a link explaining about SEPA (European banktransfers) in Polish on his page, this was promptly ignored and the hate continued. Steff announced that the VIP ticket sale would be cancelled because of the issues. A shitstorm ensues of Polish fans insulting each other and Steff. Some non-Polish fans tried to explain how to do the transfer but everyone ignored them. Steff announces that he has to think about the Polish concert and that he is considering cancelling it. A few fans apologize for like 2 seconds (I'm sorry but you have to understand that I was really upset), Steff doesn't reply instantly so everyone is back to sending hate. Even some of the fans who were good up until then join in saying that Steff is an asshole and that it's unfair to cancel the concert because they did nothing wrong. Steff publishes one of the comments the rude girls have been sending him to illustrate how bad is, people lose their shit, something about privacy and suing?

The concert gets cancelled. (Which I completely understand, if this is how they respond to not understanding how to transfer money, how will they react to, say, getting a handshake session instead of a signing after all this commotion?)

The sad thing is that these girls probably won't even learn from this and will blame Steff for the entire situation. I honestly feel really bad for the other Polish fans for having to deal with these people a regular basis, just reading this shit on my timeline made me want to slam my head into a wall.

Also when I say they or these girls I do not mean "Polish fans", I mean these specific 10 or 20 people who don't know how to behave, regardless of nationality, just so we're clear :).

  4. I don't buy from CDJapan anymore (because every package I get from there that's above the limit of 22 euros gets me 18 euros of administration fees + tax) but when I order from yesasia I usually order more stuff at the same time so I can get the free shipping option. Because of that I only order once every two-three months though. I guess since you're from Canada all importing fees from Japan are scratched due too trading agreements, while Europe doesn't have such a contract with Japan (therefore making everything above 22 euros eligible for tax and customs).

I thought postnl mentions that you only get taxed if you go above 50 euro (item + shipping)?

I can only really afford my favorite artists' new releases, and lately I've been mostly getting friends who make trips to Japan to bring them for me.

  5. I think lyrics is the most important in music.

It gives you message, feelings, emotions, thoughts. It speaks to your mind and can touch your heart.

If the music is simple, but the lyrics is brilliant, worth more for me, than the reverse.

But, the most of visual kei band...

Better if you don't try to translate.

You will be very disappointed, cause the most of lyrics just very stupid and repeat themselves about common themes. And most of common theme just an easy ridiculous love story, without true feelings, thoughts, situations.

By the way i stopped to translate many Lin song because "oh Riku, again an easy stupid love story for 14y old girls!? bye"

I realy agree with the second part of your post. I personally don't find lyrics to be the most important part of a song, but if a song has good lyrics I will love it even more and if the lyrics are terrible, like with most visual kei bands I might even start to hate it. I started out translating lyrics as practice and it definitely has ruined some vk bands for me.

  6. Still the 95% of incoming money are from japanese fans, so do it.

Just i feel ridiculous that "overseas fans join forces against the bad japanese music busniness style"

like a storm in a spoonful of water

I'm not the one complaining and I do download, I didn't mean my comment in a sarcastic way.

  7.

isn't the subject of topic, and I didn't need to be drunk to have fun, being drunk isn't fun, it's a sign of weakness.

Lol wow you sure sound like you know how to have fun from those responses why so bitter

And they must've finally gotten sick of Yuuka, lasted longer than I expected.

  8. ^ I don't blame them for doing that, gotta be able to pay for the band somehow.

While I don't believe they put that much time into these videos, they do make me cringe.  :(

Especially those videos made to promote a tour (usually overseas) where the band tries to act 'cute', 'shy' and 'funny' as if their target audience consists of merely 12 year old giggling girls. MUCC, exist†trace, D, Versailles and many more bands have all done this. After watching these videos I feel violated.

Ugh this, I never watch those videos

  9. I prefer physical for my favorite band, but for discover or band who I just appreciate and don't love, I get a digital version, or when i don't have money for pay cd + shipping charge.

    This basically.

I much prefer owning physical copies, and I try to buy them whenever I can but importing cd's from Japan is just ridiculously expenive. So I like having the option of buying the digital version.

  10. It wasn't really a flop for the band, but R:ID who organised it eventually went bankrupt because of all the added up costs from the Gazette tour and jrock invasion, so it was a flop to them I guess.

Hope everyone who wanted to got their ticket!

  11. I agree with Candy Worhol, I need a part 2 of SAMURAI SESSIONS.

Excited for this though, everything has been really good from MIYAVI

I'd love to hear a part 2 to that as well, but right now I just want him to finally release that solo album he's been working on forever... So many tracks that he played during lives that just need to be recorded already.
