Boohoo I don't like this particular artist so I need to make sure everyone knows I'm not going. I'm excited he's coming back after 3 years, I just really hope they finish the fanclub mess before the tour :/

Eh in the context kotekote actually means over the top, but whatever it comes down to the same thing. I'm pretty damn sure that it's a japanese term, that's where I kept coming across it. And there really isn't such a thing as 'too elaborate' with kotekote, so basically what Hyura says.

    Ohh yay another Dutch date!
  4. Gizorz

Wasn't sure either but since OP mentioned nagoya kei I figured I'd provide some vkei subgenres

    Going!

Not sure how correct this is, i'm not that great with genres and I'm not gonna pretend this is 100% correct but it's something, I've seen Japanese people label the bands you asked about as bellow (or at least the ones I know). But that's just for visual-kei subgenres and they're classified by looks, not by sound so if you're looking for proper genres this isn't gonna help but whatever. Kagrra - koteosa Alice Nine - koteosa Versailles - tanbi kei (or simply kotekote if you're not being too particular) Ayabie - koteosa Lycaon - koteosa but I guess they're now labeling themselves as "ero kei" whatever the fuck that means D'espairsray - koteosa or kobushi kei or both I'm not sure The GazettE - koteosa and now also kobushi kei Girugamesh - same as above DIR EN GREY - started as kotekote, then went on to kobushi and now they're "not visual anymore" Luna Sea, Glay etc - they don't really have a vkei subgenre I suppose because back when they first started there weren't any subgenres Grieva - kotekote Miyavi - kotekote in Dué le quartz and then I don't have a clue he just did whatever until coming up with Neo Visual kei and now he's not visual anymore. Rentrer en Soi - kotekote A lot of things can be labeled as koteosa as you can see, it's basically just a less extreme version of kotekote. Also Kobushi just refers to bands who don't want their fans to do all these lame dances and be cool and fist pump and headbang instead so I'm not even sure why it's a genre. Please correct me if I'm wrong tho. Also there's more genres but I'm also feeling lazy.

Oops I completely forgot about this, but I finished it~ http://macchalatte.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-raid-0-english-lyrics.html

Haha cute but you kind of are. Osare is a joke term for oshare so yeah Nyasagi is right. Oshare means someone who's really stylish, osare means someone who thinks they're really stylish, but in fact they're not.

That was a different rumor not related to the pictures. Those pictures were posted on the girl's ameblo way before Paradeis' disband. http://tanukiwww.livejournal.com/5729.html
  10. Gizorz

    Wouldn't be surprised
  11. This, i'm terrible at multi-tasking.
  12. Gizorz

Sure! I'll try to get to it when I have time
  13. Gizorz

Ah.. I'm kind of jealous. Have fun everyone who's going.
  14. Gizorz

Why would you spend over 15$ if it was gazette? It's still just a picture isn't it?
  15. Gizorz

They're not saying you háve to buy cheki, just that it's probably one of the best ways to actually support the band financially, and that if a band doesn't get support there's a big chance they'll disband. And I really don't get why people are crying scam over 500 yen. A lot of people are obviously willing to buy them. Oz cheki at their show in the Netherlands were 20 euro cuz the band borrowed the staff's camera and only had one pack of film (10 films), and they were sold FAST. Just because you wouldn't spend 500 yen on a photo doesn't mean it's a scam, it'll hold that value for some people. As for Mejibray cheki, while I think 20 euro is ridiculous for a photo, their cheki are really popular and get sold in seconds (save for meto).

Oh the shirts look pretty nice
  17. Gizorz

I agree with Rsasai really. At least now bands have found a way to make money that doesn't include a million types of single releases and it's not something you have to buy if you want to enjoy a band's music or events. I don't really collect them, I have my little cheki folder but it's mostly filled with cheki I took myself. I buy them after lives I attend though if they're available. I often can't afford a 20 euro shirt on top of the ticket price but a cheki is no problem and I like having something to remember the live by, or I'll ask my friends to buy me one if they go see a band I like in Japan. The secondhand market is insane though.. Mejibray cheki go for 20 euro/dollar.. cray. Would never pay that for a photo even if they are ~*unique*~. But I get how the trading card aspect would be fun for people and the fact that they're one in a kind def makes them more fun than regular photosets.

Unless you're ordering from overseas I'm planning on buying my ticket for London at the door
  19. Gizorz

All their previous live limited stuff got released eventually so probably gonna be another mini again just like with white album
  20. Probably gonna drop by since it's so cheap~

Everyone going to see dir en grey in paris: I don't know if people are aware of this, but the French public transport will be on strike this week. This could affect both trains and airplanes. Please keep this in mind when traveling!

@Ikna if that was in reply to me, I don't think cosplaying is emberassing, childish or stupid. I just personally find it silly, for me, but I don't judge people who do it.
  23. Gizorz

Oh god why pink, I hate pink clothing.

You realize that tanuki is 90% lies right? I agree that they're just human and that people shouldn't put bandmen on a pedestal, but if you're using tanuki to see what they're really like you're going about it wrong. I guess it would depend on how much I like a band's music whether I'd care about their personalities. If I think a band is mediocre I wouldn't bother with them if they had shitty personalities but if it was the opposite I'd probably be more inclined to give them another shot.
  25. Thanks for clarifying, that makes sense.
