stayed up late and drew these two in one night. (came back and added minor changes in the second one later tho but close enough) organ dream the day we died the silhouettes fell into a tragic love story so they became characters of oyasumi punpun.

good picks @Zeus and @Delkmiroph for ryutaro's solo album. although it was quite obvious that fuyuu would be featured this month with all the hype going around, and of course it's also my favorite. but that's not to say that the rest of it is boring. if i had to choose a second favorite, it would have to be manegoto~ @Delkmiroph also, i've found a recent liking to kinoko teikoku too~ that track is quite lovely, i will need to check their new album! @emmny love how you changed up your writing this time! and you wrote so well in relation with the meaning and feel of the song. beautiful~ hands down my favorite off their new single. the noisy breakdown is my favorite part. ^^ @CAT5 i'm still behind on weg, but the previews off the new album have been good so far. i should really get down to listening it. i've been missing out a lot on vk this month and will be sure to go through some of these later~ i thought about contributing this month with The Birthday's new single, but forgot about it after having some pretty hectic last few weeks (and just being partly lazy), oh well. it's worth checking out if you're a chiba yusuke fan or like The Birthday in general, or if you like some good classic garage rock with coffee and cigarettes on the side. it's pretty much the same stuff they've been doing but this release has felt very solid. and i cannot not mention the way the bassline walks into the song and dances on it's own.

i think i actually enjoy their previous minis more than this one lol. i kinda miss that experimental stuff they had going in the past, it was gloomier and ambient, even some of the bizarre songs can be enjoyable sometimes. yet this album still manages to impress me, and may go on my top list of the year, with favorites being プラネタリウム and navy dream.

missing tsudukimashite.......... :'( it's very hard to come by a new vk band like them these days.

i think l'eprica is a good examples of what you're looking for. zodia are more heavy and less atmospheric, but i think this song of theirs might also fit into what you're looking for. if anybody else knows more i would like to know as well.

nicely written! i was gonna expect toshabutsu to be mentioned in this month's rec, but it's even nicer to see a review of their two recent releases in its entirety! you're right about them turning up the bass like crazy. i love it when i can hear the bass loud and clear, which might also be why i love these two releases so much. definitely their best stuff by far, with toshabutsu blowing me completely away. can't wait to see more reviews from you~! ^^
