not sure if these old songs that i'm too embarrassed about listening to now is still technically good or just has a nostalgic factor that makes it good

  4. From their official youtube: Their new OHP: http://envybandofficial.com/ http://hostess.co.jp/envydigital/ ------------------- The little snippet sounds different from everything they've done before. Will they be taking a new approach? I'm sure gonna miss Tetsuya but I'm quite happy to see them back!

I watched the new Power Rangers movie with my siblings last night and it was actually REALLY GOOD. Sure, they changed a lot of things but I'm sure that most Power Rangers fans won't be disappointed. Definitely worth watching.

^was about to mention Texhnolyze and Boogiepop Phantom too. They both have a very similar atmosphere to Serial Experiments Lain. You might also wanna check these out: Aoi Bungaku Series Mermaid Forest (the OVA, i haven't watched the tv series yet) Mermaid's Scar Parasite Dolls Noir Youma (Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma) I haven't seen these myself (i'm planning to) but they're definitely for a more mature audience: Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade Sword of the Stranger

sorry to hear that.......it sounds cheesy but you'll get out of it eventually. just keep on waiting for an opportunity to come~ dang that's LONG o_o i couldn't even last for a little less than a year so no thanks. am not going through that again.
  11. idk but i really like the ugly screaming and messy guitars in xaa xaa's 排水口, probably my fav off their new album.

yup, there are two other ex-halienju members too. here's the full line-up if you're interested.

sounds really good!! i like this 100x more than halienju already. plus, it's so nice to hear the vocalist singing again.

catching up on older anime and just finished watching Hellsing. the opening and ost is so damn groovy and good, it's even distracting almost while watching. it also made me realize that anime osts these days are kinda lacking.....like i haven't felt amazed by any osts from recent anime in a while, aside from Yoko Kanno who seems to be the only one currently bringing out good osts, as she always has for her entire career. even a lot of the older anime had good osts. anyway, i'm quite excited to watch Hellsing: Ultimate next since it seems to have better ratings, and maybe i'd be able to understand the story better too because some parts were rather confusing for me. (i didn't read the manga btw)

the single is live-limited and is titled 「吽」(un). don't know if it's released yet tho. the second track is 赤い靴(akai kutsu). some of the instrumentals sound alright but the vocals need work. and i agree that they sound kinda like memento mori. it's a good start for them i guess but i'm curious to see how they'll grow from here with hopefully some better production in the future too.
  19. never really checked this band before but that song was pretty good. i'm not a huge sucker for key changes in songs but it works well here and makes it into a really fun song.
  20. plastic_rainbow

they look cheap but their music is actually not half bad
  21. plastic_rainbow
