Thanks for the recs bear and tokage. I watched Phenomena the other day and enjoyed it. It may not be as visually pleasing as Suspiria, but it still had it's own special air. They were also some pretty awesome grotesque scenes, especially towards the end when shit got crazy. that pool of maggots and rotten bodies tho holy crap Great film overall. It was fun to see what might have influenced the Clock Tower snes game too, particularly the aspect of a serial killer chasing young girls and a hidden double personality from the female lead. For some reason though, the version I was watching missed a few spots in their English dub, but I guess they didn't think it was important and decided to leave it undubbed.... I'll check the rest of Dario Argento's films later~

i'm so glad that they're picking up in quality again. missing was so good and this one sounds very promising too~

i'm liking the looks, they seem pretty interesting.

ohh man i miss karaoking :< i am by no means good at singing but i do enjoy singing most of plastic tree's songs, particularly yume no shima, andro metamorphose, and bambi. there's literally a tag for pierrot's yuuyami suicide on last.fm saying "songs i like to sing" so i tried it out one night and now it's one of my faves to sing as well! i haven't tried singing a lot of vk songs because they're too fast for me and i suck lol. but i tried some slower songs like "reila" by the gazette, and "これを依存と呼ぶなら" by mejibray a couple times, which were quite fun. i really wish i could go karaoking again so i could master all of these and try out more songs.

never really checked this band before, but i now have interest in them with the new members. mostly for haruka and rye!!

i don't care if andro metamorphose was a blatant rip-off i love that song and am happy with this. my hype for the novembers and pelican fanclub taking part just went up 100x. although i kinda wish that pelican fanclub still had their shoegazy sound while doing this.

I finally watched the classic masterpieces Rosemary's Baby and Suspiria, and I have to say that I enjoyed the later more. I just LOVE the pink hue lighting that can be perceived in almost every scene. Amazing art direction. It also had a good soundtrack, and the overall atmosphere reminded me a lot of Clock Tower (snes). I'm now interested in the director's other films, and I just found out that Phenomena actually influenced the Clock Tower (snes) game, having the same character names and all, so I can't wait to watch that one next~ Rosemary's Baby was kind of just a decent watch. It didn't give me a pleasing horror film experience like Suspiria did, but I can see how it's good for what it is.

don't know why i never checked FIXER before because that track is LOVELY. maybe i'm just a sucker for ballads, but i do like the vocals too~ also, i really hope GRIMOIRE don't become poppy like Pentagon did cuz they are SLAYING i surprisingly enjoyed the ataru nakamura track too. pianos in ballads are a huge plus for me, but man those guitars give me all sorts of feels.... lots of cool stuff here, great month guys! ^^

going by the name of tensai is pretty bold, but at least they sound good.

yeah, the vocalist pretty much sounds female to me as well. i think the bassist might also be female, although i'm only basing that off of their facial features and what i perceive as a woman so who knows~ i'm always interested in seeing more female-fronted vk bands tho so i'll keep them under my radar.
