well actually, i bought them directly from local stores in Japan and then i used a postal service to ship them all in one package from there. so i don't really know if i can do anything now that i'm out of Japan and they already got sent all the way over here. i didn't use any online services. and they were all sorts of books, novels, manga, art books.

So somebody took half the books out? The heck? If you declared them then you should report it, but if you didn't declare or anything then I guess you got screwed.

yeah pretty much...the package looked pretty wrecked so i couldn't tell how it was opened and repacked. and i had my sister pick them up for me as well so i wasn't in the presence when they arrived either...guess i just gotta deal with it, ughh.
