Reunion with Marr Haven't heard all of their releases, but I think these two songs are about as pop as they get? If you want something poppier, just try their latest mini album "Elegance": Or you can try 'GIFT' like @violetchain mentioned earlier..
-
I would recommend starting with their 'zeitgeist' album, and 'Fourth wall' mini album. If you like those, then you can continue to their 'To (melt into)' and 'Rhapsody in beauty' albums. Personally, I don't really find their earlier works that appealing.

It took me 5 years before I started REALLY warming up to them. Now they're one of my favorite bands.
-
Let's take a moment to appreciate Kobayashi and his beautiful mane.
-
At this rate, it'll be another year or 2 before this site is even remotely appealing again.

This is average, but I wouldn't say it's awful! It sounds solid to me overall...as in I can't really find any fault with it besides it being unremarkable.

ahahaha, holy shit. I remember you showing me these guys ages ago! Good for you! :'3

I started watching Kuroko no basuke this year, and I've made it to about half way into the 3rd season. It's the first sports anime I've ever watched, and I can't really complain overall, as the show has been pretty enjoyable throughout. I suppose this isn't really trash-talk as much as it is just me nitpicking, but I think they REALLY dropped the ball with the character designs. Almost everyone, male and female, have the same face shapes, with the only real differences lying in the subtleties of the eyes, eyebrows, and hair. In fact, it took me a long time to familiarize myself with all of the supporting characters outside of the generation of miracles because so many of them look alike! Maybe that was intentional? Either way, it's something that's stood out to me quite a bit, and has ranged from funny to downright annoying! XD

Looks like all of the good/promising female-fronted indie bands are either going full-on pop or down the drain somehow: Cö shu Nie seems to be the next in line: It's not even "bad" for the sound they're going for, but I really do wonder why they'd change their sound into this kind of moe anime fodder, when there are already so many doujin and jpop acts that already sound like this. Maybe this is just a one-off?

Some random musings about ハイスイノナサ (haisuinonasa): Without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite Japanese bands. Despite being around since 2004, their discography is weighs in around a whopping 30 songs lol...but that's not much of a problem since I don't feel they've ever written a "bad" song. In fact, whenever I play their music, I usually just find myself wanting to listen to everything. For some reason, I heavily associate them with autumn and winter, and these are the times that I usually gravitate towards their music. Still, they're a band that I can listen to at any time and enjoy. I also find that while their music works well as background/busy music, I can still listen to it intently and be completely captivated. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about the band's aesthetic resonates with me deeply. Their music feels cold and mechanical , and yet it's so paradoxically warm too. It's also quite technical and complex, yet there's a very simple beauty to it all too. Not to mention that their music inspires a keen sense of wonder within me, and often times feels dreamy and otherworldly. Anyways, I'm done fanboying for now. They're definitely a band that I'll love for the long haul!

ahahaha, in seriousness tho, there's nothing "wrong" with it. That was just my way of trying to subtly dismantle the OP's generalizations.
-
Some perspective: this is from the 90's Make of this what you will.

It's been a weak year for me on the Jpop front, but the releases I've enjoyed the most so far are: Shione Yukawa, BOMI, Ropes, Suiyoubi no Campanella, Nakano Yoshie, Sebu Hiroko, and Atlantis Airport.

You're showing just how young you are, haha In other news - two of my favorite Japanese ladies together - Miyuki Hatakeyama and Kotoringo! They look well, especially to be 43 and 37, respectively. Seeing pics of musicians I enjoy together is always a happy sight!

Happy Birthday, Champ!!! May you party with the gods and drink mead aplenty! \m/

Caught up to the manga again. How is OP so consistently good?!!?
