Pretty large update: I had scanned and edited close to 10 CDs around Christmas time but never got around to finishing it until yesterday.

I may have missed a few cards. Let me double check that I uploaded everything, but it’s very likely I didn’t scan the whole thing (I do things in batches sometimes and may have missed those since they were individual flash cards, not an album booklet). I do distinctly remember some of the bands not having a photo, nor lyrics, so there’s a chance the song your looking for doesn’t have any as well. also!!! This just reminded me that I have like 10 CDs scanned and edited. I just have to upload them and add them to the site 😴

I think it's more just groups who are accessible / agreeable to being interviewed. I imagine a lot of bands are kinda dodgy or hard to get in touch with, especially if they don't speak multiple languages, and some probably just don't want to be bothered by a "european fansite." This particular interview was...interesting. Compared to the few others in the series, these guys seemed way less interested in answering the questions, but that could be because they don't consider themselves to be vkei, so vkei questions were a moot point.

Dir en Grey is a massive band, no one can doubt of this... but why someone necessarily rates something saying "Hey is a XXX ripoff", "Hey that thing is too similiar to XXX", while appreciating it for what is in its core? I have seen this garbage happening in visual kei fandom, reminding of a similiar debate on other fandoms, such as GoT, where other new fantasy/sci-fi shows have necessarily that feature which gets a comparison to what GoT did... honestly this thing is bothering me a bit, but is only my opinion.

Who the fuck even cares if they copy Dir en Grey these days? They sound cool. It's music. It's just fucking notes, timbres and words that sound good together to our ears. It's not that deep lol.
I personally like the Diru influence in Nega. I think Nega is a cool interpretation of different influences, including Dir en Grey, and they manage to stick some Gauze influence in the mid 2000's

THE NOVEMBERS I guess kind of like Boris in the sense that all of their songs are basically a different genre, although I haven't really listened to Boris enough to know if that comparison is valid. For example: Pretty much a 180 from the other song lol I don't know if YAMAGEN is still active or not, as Touhou bands are super difficult to track. @Zeus may know more on that, or where the members ended up going to if they're no longer around. I am 98% sure Unlucky Morpheus do not consider themselves to be a vkei band. I always assumed they were Touhou / doujin related, but kinda dress up for fun (like how Wagakki Band isn't vkei but they still use stage costumes). They do have ex-vkei bandmen in the band, though, so they're not too far removed.

Bands that I actively follow / would purchase releases from formed after 2012: Rakugaki, ChainxMail, Mathilda, Gulu Gulu, Jirudore, Rands, La'veil MizeriA, Crucifixion, Kamijo, David, Roman Kyuuko, Yamitera, Hueye, IIIRD, Virge, Nicolas, The Muzzle, Kiryu, Scarlet Valse, lynch. , Marco, Zombie, Verxina I have a bunch that I also like, but for the purposes of this exercise I'm not including them in this list because I wouldn't go out of my way to get their new releases.
