Interesting, I haven't been visiting last.fm or even noticed I still used it in the background. http://www.last.fm/user/Flame-X/listening-report/year

The only mobile game I've been quite dedicated to is Fantasy War Tactics. Fans of Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea franchise will enjoy this since it is turn based strategy rpg. It is the best free to play game to me by far. https://fwar.nexon.com/MicroEn

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus I finished reading this and it's got to be the best autobiography I've read in years. It's pretty much a testimony about an ex-devout Muslim, Nabeel Qureshi, describing his journey from Islam to Christianity. It's a very heart wrenching story that literally put me to tears near the last couple chapters of the book as you really come to understand the struggles he had to face. I was already engaged in the first few pages. One page in the beginning that particularity grabbed me by the heart was how this book was dedicated to his parents. These are the exact words: Just by reading that, I can already tell the book was gonna be full of sincerity and it definitely hits me. It's so honoring and beautiful. One of the things I learned from reading this book is cultural insights of 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families. It's interesting to know that religion is infused with foreign cultures that paradigms with the honor and shame system. If one family member decides to convert to a different faith/religion, that would be equivalent to betraying your family and your social circles. This was one of the greatest struggles Nabeel had to face. After reading this book, I was moved but also challenged considering my faith levels. Nabeel quest to search for the truth is truly genuine and it inspired me to pick up the bible and actually start reading it to equip myself the knowledge rather than relying on my surface levels of faith.
  4. I'm NOT looking forward to this Code Geass sequel.

i love Code Geass to death, so even a cheap-arse parody of a sequel is good for me. don't judge me but i actually enjoyed those crappy Akito spin-off movies :v

That's totally fine, I'm not judging anyone for their tastes. To each their own. I'm just boggled by the fact they're going to revive Lelouch for this sequel. It nullifies everything he had accomplished and deters the impact of the ending.  I understand that Sunrise is desperate for another cash grab show like this but I much rather have them use an entirely new cast of character with the exception of one, C.C..

that's true, but you never know, there's always a slight chance that the revival would turn out to be awesome. and if not, you can always disregard it as some shitty fanfic. there's really nothing to loose if you look at that from this point of view.

Hey all, I'm sure nearly everyone here has a smartphone and uses it to listen to music at some point. I use an app called Shuttle+ which has served me well for a couple years that featured very nice sets of equalizer customization and simplistic UI design for playing mp3s and other music files, but lately I've been experiencing random crashes and bugs ever since I upgraded my Nexus 6P to Android Nougat. Does anyone have any music app suggestion for mobile devices they can offer? Of course it doesn't need to be limited to one platform. iOS suggestions are welcomed as well for those who are using that. Please let us know and your experiences with the app.

I love both bands but D'espairsRay gets my vote on this one. Girugamesh was mixed for me since their MUSIC album but D'espairsRay had a fairly consistent track record in terms of sound. Plus, I think D'espairsRay had a more superior skilled drummer. Also, DEATH POINT still stands as my favorite PV of all times.

Hacksaw Ridge This movie blew me away. Without a doubt, it's the most graphically violent war film I've seen since Saving Private Ryan. It's shocking and unsettling at times but it truly showed the horror of what these veterans had to experience. The movie is based on an actual true story of Desmond Doss, a conscientious defector of the military during WW2. While everyone else was doing all the shooting, he's goes into battle without a single firearm as a medic. In doing so, he saves many of his wounded comrades (Not really a spoiler, you can google up this guy). The first half of the movie focuses on his civilian life where we learn about his character and what drives him to become what he is, and the persecution he faces during his boot camp training. Then when it gets to the actual war part, it's hits you suddenly like a truck outta nowhere. Soldiers getting mowed down left and right in such intense brutal fashion. It's absolutely horrific, but incredibly well done. In the midst of the brutality, Desmond Doss shows us an uplifting and courageous act that's inspirational. There's a line he said as he runs into the battlefield saving lives that really pushed the tears outta my eyes - "Please Lord, help me get one more." Hacksaw Ridge is a very heart wrenching film with multilayered themes, especially if you're someone who comes from a faith background. Say what you want about Mel Gibson, but he did an amazing job with this movie. There's a lot of well known actors here aside from Andrew Garfield. Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Hugo Weaving, Rachel Griffiths and Vince Vaughn. Well acted throughout. The only criticism I can think of is the short ending, I wish they give us more of an epilogue but it is what it is. I came out of the theater stunned. 2 days later, I'm still thinking about this movie, that pretty much says how good it is. Sorry Capt America Civil War, I think Hacksaw Ridge may be my favorite film of the year. I highly recommend this. 9.5/10

    OMG I love this! XD
  9. In case if anyone's interested, I made an AMV using Gundam IBO and lynch's F.A.K.E song. An OP style video.

Yasssssssssssss! That was amazing! I've been thinking a lot that lately that some lynch. songs would make great anime themes (particularly the song you used and "evoke") , so seeing this is perfect! I've only seen the first EP of this series, but I'm certainly hyped to see more now. Great work, and thanks for sharing! :D

  10. Color me interested. One thing I didn't like what they showed in the trailer is her hair. I'm not sure if I want to spend money to watch it in imax but if it's critically received well enough in the reviews, then sure. I know a lot of purists (or should I say perverts) out there are gonna bitch about her not being actually naked.

The only two shows I'm committed to watching this season are Drifters, Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans S2, and Girlish Number. I watched the first few eps of Izetta the Last Witch which had a pretty strong debut, but then it became anime, so dropped. Fall season usually tends to be the weakest. Also, still watching Jojo.
  12. Okay, I haven't been active here as I want to be, but what happened here? DL section gone? Site attacked?  Bullying??? o_O

A certain kawaii dipshit was harassing people and even threatened the site itself, which is why the DL section is gone for now.

So one mere person caused the DL section to go away. Just one. Wow.

Dr. Strange Eh, it's a 6-7/10 score range for me. The visual effects porn is an understatement. It's like Inception on steroids. The origin story was similar to Iron Man, except its paced too fast and formulaic. Like many marvel movies, villain is a weaksauce. It's a fun watch for the most part but don't expect it to be compelling.
  14. Flame-X

New AMV. This one uses Gundam IBO and a lynch song!

Titanfall 2 I'm liking it so far. Some changes I like but others I prefer in the first game gameplay wise. First off, big thanks to SledgeHammer70 on twitter for giving massive amounts of deluxe edition game codes away for FREE on random twitch streams. I refunded my purchase from greenmangaming. Keep a lookout on Titanfall's twitter account for more giveaway news. Right now I've only tried out the multiplayer but I'll get to the single player soon enough.

Titanfall 2 for PC I told myself that I would never pre-order video games, but after seeing the discount on green man gaming website, I'm gonna have to eat those words. D:

This 6 min animated music video by Porter Robinson told a better, heart wrenching story than the entirety of Shingatsu. To me of course.
  18. Oh my, this will be an interesting combination.
  19. Google selling their Pixel phones starting at $649. They must be high on Apple. >:(

I met the original owner of the Tainted World site. I think his username was Spike720 or something. But ya, he went to the same college as I did and was introduced to him by an old friend of mine. After a few meetups, he told me about the site, so I went in and stuck around.

Wow, not a single mention of Macross Delta music? Man, you folks are missing out. This is the anime franchise that embodies music! Sure the idol group thing can be a turn off but this franchise somehow always takes a step further in the genre giving an extra oomph. Here are a few of my favorites. ED2: Walkure - Hametsu no Junjou ED3: Walkure - Kaze wa Yokoku Naku Fuku https://soundcloud.com/user-310349678/kaze-wa-yokoku-naku-fuku Insert: Walkure - Walküre Attack! https://soundcloud.com/user-310349678/macross-delta-walkure-attack Aside from that, another anime OP I like but didn't watch: Rewrite OP: Runa Mizutani - Philosophyz ~TV animation ver.~

Some quickie thoughts on this ending season. 91 Days - 10/10 P-E-R-F-E-C-T-O! Mob Psycho 100 - 9/10 Macross Delta - 8/10 Dug it, but oddly paced and rushed finale. Should've been at least 30+ eps. Tales of Zestiria the X - 5/10 Undeserved gorgeous visuals.
  23. I'll one up you for putting Xenogears. However, let's back up for a sec. As the end of the game shows, Xenogears is episode 5 of the universe. The problem is, while Xenosaga trilogy was originally intended to be episode 1 of the Xenogears universe, due to creators parting ways with square creating their own studio and square's copyright & ownership, Xenosaga is just an alternate retelling of Xenogears episode 1 in a different universe, so it's got nothing to do with Xenogears. Of course this is not gonna stop fans from making theories based on some easter eggs and design aesthetics shown in Xenosaga. I haven't played Xenosaga 2 or 3 so I can't speak for them but Xenosaga 1 greatly disappointed me coming from right after playing Xenogears. Otherwise, I still haven't encountered a jrpg story with so much complexity and in-depth-ness compared to Xenogears. It's not afraid to tackle mature and controversial themes, it's rated M for a reason. Disc 2 was definitely change of direction. The pacing was like a bullet train speed without giving you much of a break to digest the info dump. So it will take you a few rewinds to connect the dots. A good way to fully comprehend Xenogears is to check out the Perfect Works book which covers some things that wasn't fully fleshed out within the game. Anyone who's been wanting to experience an incredible video game story telling, look no further than Xenogears.
  24. Bullet Hell / Shoot'em Ups I'm terrible at it but they're so much fun to play! I got into the genre by playing Ikaruga, Raiden, and STRIKERS series at the arcades many years ago. Just seeing your tiny little planes having massive firepower taking out everything you see is so satisfying.
