So it happens AGAIN. Sucks for their fans.
  2. Zeus

^ Depends on if it's a 30 second preview or not.
  3. Zeus

So the song playing in the background was part of DESTINY-The Lovers- or Desert Apple or neither? Either way, they are one of the few bands I can truly say got better over time.
  4. Zeus

    Lots of tie-in's lately...
  5. Zeus

Congratulations Versailles. inb4 JASMEEN YUU CANT BE REPLACED
  6. Zeus

They were doing it with Re:dis for a little while if I remember Trombe's post correctly. They also did it with ALSDEAD a few times as well.

I think the main thing about Versailles (who I like btw) is that they're nowhere near as special as some fans make them out to be. Sure, you don't find that many symphonic metal bands in vk, but you find lots of non-visual symphonic metal bands all around the world. But a lot of Versailles fans wouldn't touch these bands with a barge pole, yet they praise Versailles as if they re-invented music. Yes, they do good handiwork, but so do other bands of that genre. Thank you Champ for interpreting my post when my brain farted and I couldn't say what I meant to.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_band VK is considered a subset of boy bands in Japan. Plus, being a boy band isn't a bad thing. Put your prejudice away. And to the person who said Versailles isn't overvalued? LOL. I LOVE Versailles and I can tell you they're overrated. Have you ever been to one of their concerts? The fangirls are fucking insane.

Last actual thing I ate? A cookie. Yesterday. Last proper meal I had? Chinese food, two days ago. Hai college.
  10. Zeus

Cool sentence, but just because you supposedly do it doesn't mean the rest of their fans don't, which leads right to this: No one said being overvalued was a BAD thing, it just is. Alice Nine is an overrated band. Sorry.
  11. Zesshoku's theory: every other GazettE album is trash. Disorder? Unpleasant noise. NIL? Some good stuff. STACKED RUBBISH? Eponymous. DIM? GOOD SHIT. Album 5? Shaping up to be weak. SHIVER preview was representative of the whole song and RED's no different, right down to the person-bearing cover art. So far, the only thing I have against RED is that it sounds too similar to SHIVER, which means they're crapping out carbon-copy songs and THAT is worse than a generic, uninspired song. I bet VERMIN is going to be a meaningless heavy song that fans will no doubt jizz over and claim to be GazettE's BESTEST and then AN UNWAVERABLE FACT is going to be a half-decent attempt at some sort of Gazerock weirdness that would have worked had they taken the time to craft the song first, but in the mire of the entire single will just sink lower, lower, lower into obscurity. And you know what? I don't think PLEDGE is going to be all that different. Maybe a little slower, but this upbeat commercial vibe they have going on isn't disappearing.

They probably won't re-record it for a while. They're focusing on Sou-era releases it seems. Now, if they just re-did CHAOS without the horrid vocals I'd be happier.
  13. I heard it was family problems that forced DI3SIRAE to break up O.o

  16. I guess they're leaving because Ha;qch. hasn't done shit in forever.

What do I mean by respect? Why the dictionary definition of course! I respect what the artists have accomplished thus far. With the exception of EROS they haven't made a bad song. The members are good performers, the lyrics are interesting and well-written and the compositions are pretty good. ROYAL ORDER was a fucking beast of an album. They're one of the few NVK acts worth checking out.
  18. I can't believe I didn't find this sooner. Amazing French acoustic post-rock and their last album got me hooked. Does anyone else here listen to them?

Let's put this into perspective so I don't have to keep reading the same shit over and over again. Dir en grey were formed in 1997. Dir en grey released Withering to death. in 2006. That's a 9 year span where a good chunk of the current fanbase were oblivious to the existence of Dir en grey. Most of these new fans are unaware of the fact that they were a Visual Kei band, or what Visual Kei is, or that albums before VULGAR exist, or even what any of the members names are except for Kyo. Most of the fans jumped on the bandwagon mainly because they're Japanese and "different", not because of the music (as a matter of fact I recall you saying this in another thread). I can go up to a fan and say "name me the first five songs on Uroboros" and they wouldn't know a single one. Dir en grey is an overvalued band because a good portion of the fanbase don't appreciate most of the catalog of the band, yet proclaim that they are the best metal outfit on the planet and slurp on their cocks so hard they might snap. Now before you get your panties in a twist, I didn't say they sucked. I said they're overvalued. They get far more praise than they deserve for what it is they have accomplished. They've stayed together for 10 years - impressive but doesn't speak volumes about their music. They haven't reinvented the genre or pioneered a new one. They bend genres well, but they aren't the only ones that do it. They are good composers, but they aren't legendary and don't create moving masterpiece after moving masterpiece. Kyo is a good vocalist but Mike Patton did all that first. They are a good band and they create enjoyable music, but that's where the line should be drawn. Now seriously will, chill. Every time someone mentions Dir en grey and a slightly negative comment you throw a shitfit.

Can't believe they wasted such a badass title on such a crap sounding song. Also, wouldn't claymore be romanized "kureimoa"? Just guessing though.
  21. Zeus

*claps* Hope it's as good as GILIA.

Re-recording from THE AVOIDED SUN? Hmmm...

No you're still gay. I'm gay too. He means all the people that were here before tw.net came about, not all the people that were on tw.net that came here.

YOU CAN FIND ME HERE! (although it seems like most of the TW populace has figured out that they just have to click on my siggy to go to FB).

^ I think you mean PS COMPANY, unless you've got a thing against computers... Also, I can't hate a label. The label hardly does anything. It's usually the band's choice to change their style up, unless you think that labels forced Dir en grey to play "AMERIKUN METALLL" to appeal to a wider crowd and four albums later they're still doing it because they're forced to, not because they want to.
