I was a fan of Versailles and felt reasonably upset. On the other hand, saying RIP and feeling upset was completely different from all the batshit crazy stuff people blew it out to be. I saw people do some really crazy stuff and just say O ITS FOR JASMEEN YOU and ...no. Holding a vigil? Touching. MAKE YOUR OWN UTOOB MEMORIALZ EVERYONE DO ET NAO ? Too much. Now You's name is equated with fangasming and that I dislike greatly.

I'm just going to quote the parts that stood out to me and then change them up as necessary to fit what I'm trying to say the best I tried 7th Rose album because I wanted to try and get into some more bands. It really didn't stick with me and I'm guessing that the "vibrato" is a prominent reason why. Asagi can't even growl properly and the only tracks I listened to were two, three and ten. The rest was...forgettable. I can't comment on the last sentence though because I'm not getting into new VK bands like that anymore. I think your hate for that girl obsessed with him probably affects your judgment some. After listening to JUBILEE, I can hear the "forcedness" behind the voice in Lyrical Sympathy and NOBLE but on Jubilee his voice has definitely seen an improvement. That's really all I care about. As for guitarists the skill level isn't as important to me as the song structure. You can hit two or three notes and make beautiful music and you can slam a million notes and not impress me. Try NITRO'S Freight Train music video to see what I mean. Can Batio slam a million notes on his guitar during the solo? Hell yeah. Does it sound good? No. And I always thought Yuki's drumming was badass. Then again I'm the only fan of his that I know (most drummers in the VK scene are vastly underrated). I hate fans like that tbh. I'd have digitally shanked him if I read that. ALSDEAD isn't the greatest thing to hit the VK scene. Fact. However, they've got quite a few tracks that keep them slightly above all the poorly composed metalcore acts out there (mainly F-99 and VOR). Still though, they're thoroughly average and their last album was just a mess. Part of being a real fan is being truthful with yourself on how much the bands you like suck. Can't remark on the guitarist but I must agree with the whole statement (even if I like them...somewhat). MASTER OF ROMANCE & UNDEAD 13+2 was good but that's mainly because the places they get their inspiration from are good. Lately though, Mao has been making BAD choices with his vocals. Sorta why the entire Kagerou/Dress single bombed. All of that is 100% truth. Don't care how much you like them. I've grown out of MYV since I've discovered bands I enjoy more. His voice is still pretty bad and a lot of his compositions are bad. Does he have a few good songs? Sure he does, but those good songs just amount to an "average" at the end of the day. Not to mention the amount of compilation albums he's been releasing since 2007 are insane. If your last album bombed in sales, don't release a compilation album that's basically the same fucking thing damnit. Some beef with X JAPAN. They're not special. They have their place in history but Yoshiki is hell bent on destroying that with this half-assed "revival" that's been more successful reminding people how dead hide is than how good the band is. Or was. X is not legendary. X will never be legendary. Let it die.

What ShanethVarosa said along with my two cents: The technical expertise and the musicianship is top notch as usual; it's just that I'm not used to DELUHI playing pop-rock. I don't listen to DELUHI to hear pop-rock (and this is actually pop-ROCK, not pop music with guitars). Won't put this on repeat because the first two were miles better. I really do think that the only thing that's a definite miss in this song is the atrocious use of synths at that chorus. If Juri just sung there like he does normally it wouldn't sound so forced. It'd actually sound...nice. As is, the chorus is cringe-worthy. If you want my opinion (and you don't), s[K]ape:goat is worse than this and that's hxc and Remember the rain is worse than that and that's ballad-y. It just might be a grower though, who knows.

Phantasmagoria disbanded 2010-04-06 at their final live. This was also the live where Kisaki released information about ? -the end of corruption world-. Any place that says otherwise hasn't updated.

Probably the really bad hip-hop and tolerable R&B that most of the people around here listen to, sprinkled with the 1:24 anime openings that I could get off Limewire. That's what I listened to before I got heavily into VK and then rock music anyway. I hate to toot my own horn but I probably have the most diverse musical taste out of all the people in close proximity to me.

Here's a novel idea - instead of telling people to comment on his solos, upload an album and command people to download. Seeing as how 95% of this site won't go outside the DL/news sections it's a good way to get D'ERLANGER's music out there.

Patient: defspiral Diagnosis: They're writing only anime tunes that are utter shit as musical pieces taken out of context. They haven't released one song that hasn't been used in an anime yet. They're The Underneath without the bite, the push, the ESSENCE that made The Underneath so unique. Now they just sound old and tired. Prescription: Turn the volume up to 11, put the crunch in the guitars and the kick ass back in the composition. TAKA needs to scream. Just because you're missing TAL doesn't mean you can fucking suck.

I'm pretty sure most of us heard it. Even though it's horrible as all get out I'm probably going to force myself to like it because I respect this band so much. Yes, I force myself to like things I hate. I'm masochistic like that.

BORN hasn't released anything since they've joined PSC. Do agree that they're overlooked, especially since they're one of the best indies acts around.

Agreed on both the parts about The Poet and the Pendulum and Marco. I'm going to confuse a lot of people with this, but The Poet and the Pendulum was the first Nightwish song I ever heard and DPP was the first album I got. I have yet to find anything with Tarja that does indeed equal what that song is full of. The Siren comes close but it just doesn't unfold the same way. Also, I thought the weakest track on the last album was Master Passion Greed. Something about Marco's voice was off. Not good enough really. Also, hearing Reach and Cadence of her Last Breath with him on vocals just reminds me that he's good as support but doesn't sell it when he's up at the front all the time (obv. Islander is an exception). He's good when he duets and when he throws in a scream here and there but otherwise I want him in the back on the bass. But that's just my preferences

I'm a fan of old Nightwish. Oceanborn has to be my favorite release from them. That said, I don't understand what everyone (not here, obviously) has against Anette. She could use some vocal lessons, but she's taking them. She's "off-key" live, but so are most vocalists. She can't sing? Subjective. I think she sounds bearable. Tuomas finished up writing all the songs for the new album a month or so ago and the band's in the studio recording. This is good news. Hopefully Anette's improved a lot.

ronluna acts like more than 5% of the people that visit these boards look at anything either than news or downloads. Personally I think METAL SAFARI is quite an underrated band. They've got some good stuff. Might up their latest release later today.

I hope so too but KISAKI's all about making the money so for once that might not be an issue. I don't remember either chariots or Phantasmagoria having too many (I know actuality was live-limited but it was upped anyway) and in an age where tons of VK bands like to release live-distributeds as a way of drawing in a consistent crowd Lin doesn't have to do that since most of the Magomago fanbase followed.

Pretty much this. Parents are being evermore irresponsible with their finances and now I'm going to have to pay for it, like usual. Instead of paying off my college bill my parents decided it's OK to just not tell me and go ahead and pay the ridiculous sum for my sister's elementary school.My sister is mentally psychotic and will end up getting kicked out of that school so call that wasted money that could have been spent on me going to school. Now I've got to find some way to fill the gap or else I don't go to college anymore. FAMILY IS GREAT DONT U NO?
