Irrational Hate Moment:

I really don't like it when bands make a song that follows the convention of intro -> verse -> chorus -> verse -> chorus -> bridge -> solo -> chorus -> ending. It's too cookie-cutter for me, especially when the same riff is played throughout the songs with no variation. It also tends to centralize the vocalist as the center of the band, but that may not be the case if the solo is cool. I like bits of instrumental goodness and atypical song structures in my music.

Anyway, another thing I completely despise are live distributed CD's. First off artists now use them as a cheap way to rope in devoted fans to their shows. Let's take Lycaon for example. SPEND 10000 YEN ON CONCERT TICKETS TO GET THIS ONE CRAPASS SONG ON CD THAT WE'RE GOING TO RE-RELEASE ANYWAY! I despise it when bands release more live-distributed material than studio material in one year. If you want more fans, release your music so that EVERYONE can hear it, not just 300 people.

That brings me to my second point which is when people start jizzing all over their CD's because they have a live distributed and no one else does. Most of the time people don't want to hear that crapass bullshit, so you can keep your CD of recorded doggie genocide. I really don't care. Oh while you're at it, use the little insert with the OMG KAWAII lyrics to wipe your superior ass.

It's a rare day in hell when a band releases a live-distributed worth hearing.

WTF?!! Coming from someone who listens to Kaya. So just because I like their music and I'm female you automatically assume I'm a fangirl? That's just dumb. There are also ViViD because they are good musicians. That's why I like them. I like ViViD because they are great musicians. True, I've never been into their b-sides until PRECIOUS, and Shin's voice CAN be a bit annoying sometimes, but he's still waaaaaaay better than Kiryu's singer. Even Byou from SCREW sings better than him. Also, people assuming that people like them because of their looks is just bullshit. The only one who looks at least a bit handsome is Shin, the rest isn't very handsome to be honest. Besides, they are signed to one of the best record companies, PSC. You can say all you want, but PSC really has some of the best bands (and one of the worst, I regret: SCREW)

Even if I find Justin Bieber's music disgustingly saccharine if someone else loves it then it's whatever (it's when they start going to the I LOVE HIM extremes that I step in and start the bashing fun). I hate it when people fap over rare VK demo recordings like it's God recording his private suite of angels singing and recording. First off, they all sound like shit. The music is horribly recorded and you probably can't tell one guitar from the other, or the bass, or the drums, the vocals suck. You've probably only listened to it once and keep it in your collection only to fap over it's rarity and how it was on a cassette that no one probably owns anymore. How often could you humanly listen to that awful shit? There's a reason why it was never re-recorded!

Honestly, how could anyone listen to most of La:Sadie's output? I put it up only because I had it and I don't think hoarding bad sounding music is my style and there are people out there that want it, but really? Most of what they put out sounds downright shitty but there are still fans of the band only because of what they became (I refuse to fucking utter that name again ITT) and not because they sound good. They don't.

As a matter of fact, how could anyone go even FURTHER back and listen to shit like Kyo's former band Gesshoku? Oh my fucking god that's horrible sounding shit. But no people hoard it because it's "rare", even if Think about death. sounds like my shit trying to speak German.

On one hand, I think that the death of Jasmine You was very sad. I was a fan of Versailles and felt reasonably upset. On the other hand, saying RIP and feeling upset was completely different from all the batshit crazy stuff people blew it out to be. I saw people do some really crazy stuff and just say O ITS FOR JASMEEN YOU and ...no. Holding a vigil? Touching. MAKE YOUR OWN UTOOB MEMORIALZ EVERYONE DO ET NAO ? Too much. Now You's name is equated with fangasming and that I dislike greatly.

I'm just going to quote the parts that stood out to me and then change them up as necessary to fit what I'm trying to say the best

I hate D and any other visual band whose vocalist tries to be oh-so operatic and makes an exaggerated vibrato. 90% of the time it doesn't sound "beautiful" or even tolerable, it just sucks really bad. And I also hate how it is becoming a signature quality of a majority of new visual kei bands. My eyes couldn't roll any harder.

I tried 7th Rose album because I wanted to try and get into some more bands. It really didn't stick with me and I'm guessing that the "vibrato" is a prominent reason why. Asagi can't even growl properly and the only tracks I listened to were two, three and ten. The rest was...forgettable.

I can't comment on the last sentence though because I'm not getting into new VK bands like that anymore.

I hate Versailles too. I hate Kamijo and his pseudo-aristocratic act, but I also have issues with a girl who was obsessed with him, so that could be perpetuating my anti-Kamijoness. Teru is a mediocre guitarist. I don't know anything about their drummer and I doubt many Versailles fans give a shit about him either. And I thought Jasmine was a shitty bassist long before he died but commenting on the dead's musical prowess is considered trolling or in bad taste.

I think your hate for that girl obsessed with him probably affects your judgment some. After listening to JUBILEE, I can hear the "forcedness" behind the voice in Lyrical Sympathy and NOBLE but on Jubilee his voice has definitely seen an improvement. That's really all I care about.

As for guitarists the skill level isn't as important to me as the song structure. You can hit two or three notes and make beautiful music and you can slam a million notes and not impress me. Try NITRO'S Freight Train music video to see what I mean. Can Batio slam a million notes on his guitar during the solo? Hell yeah. Does it sound good? No.

And I always thought Yuki's drumming was badass. Then again I'm the only fan of his that I know (most drummers in the VK scene are vastly underrated).

Let's see... There's ALSDEAD, and the fans that believe they're any different than the slews of Western metalcore bands who compose poorly. What irritated me more, though, was seeing a diehard ALSDEAD fan commenting on Japanese metalcore bands that weren't visual and Western bands claiming they were ~emo~ and ~gay~ and disgusting.

I hate fans like that tbh. I'd have digitally shanked him if I read that. ALSDEAD isn't the greatest thing to hit the VK scene. Fact. However, they've got quite a few tracks that keep them slightly above all the poorly composed metalcore acts out there (mainly F-99 and VOR). Still though, they're thoroughly average and their last album was just a mess. Part of being a real fan is being truthful with yourself on how much the bands you like suck.

Sadie. Shittastic band incapable of originality, with an egocentric guitarist and a moronic vocalist.

Can't remark on the guitarist but I must agree with the whole statement (even if I like them...somewhat). MASTER OF ROMANCE & UNDEAD 13+2 was good but that's mainly because the places they get their inspiration from are good. Lately though, Mao has been making BAD choices with his vocals. Sorta why the entire Kagerou/Dress single bombed.

DELUHI's fanbase.

I don't hate it when Hizumi sings in English, but I wish he would stick to his mother tongue because his pronunciation is terrible and his lyrics aren't as... poetic when he throws in random English phrases. And Zero... no hate whatsoever, but if he wasn't in the band, the music wouldn't sound much different on CD. Zero lures in clueless, sex-starved fangirls who want to follow his blogs and perv over the pictures of his thighs and face. He's the friendliest (next to Hizumi) and most fan interactive, but he doesn't compose or write anything, and prominent bass on D'espairsRay's album is virtually non existant, so if he didn't show up to record a track, no one would notice on CD. He's better live, though.

And, finally, -OZ-. I don't hate them because I used to listen frequently and was fond of the band members, but Natsuki requires singing lessons. When he's not screaming or growling, he ruins a song. A lot of their songs are identical too.

All of that is 100% truth. Don't care how much you like them.

I've grown out of MYV since I've discovered bands I enjoy more. His voice is still pretty bad and a lot of his compositions are bad. Does he have a few good songs? Sure he does, but those good songs just amount to an "average" at the end of the day. Not to mention the amount of compilation albums he's been releasing since 2007 are insane. If your last album bombed in sales, don't release a compilation album that's basically the same fucking thing damnit.

Some beef with X JAPAN. They're not special. They have their place in history but Yoshiki is hell bent on destroying that with this half-assed "revival" that's been more successful reminding people how dead hide is than how good the band is. Or was. X is not legendary. X will never be legendary. Let it die.

The technical expertise and the musicianship is top notch as usual; it's just that I'm not used to DELUHI playing pop-rock. I don't listen to DELUHI to hear pop-rock (and this is actually pop-ROCK, not pop music with guitars). Won't put this on repeat because the first two were miles better.

I really do think that the only thing that's a definite miss in this song is the atrocious use of synths at that chorus. If Juri just sung there like he does normally it wouldn't sound so forced. It'd actually sound...nice. As is, the chorus is cringe-worthy.

If you want my opinion (and you don't), s[K]ape:goat is worse than this and that's hxc and Remember the rain is worse than that and that's ballad-y. It just might be a grower though, who knows.

Phantasmagoria disbanded 2010-04-06 at their final live. This was also the live where Kisaki released information about ? -the end of corruption world-. Any place that says otherwise hasn't updated.

Probably the really bad hip-hop and tolerable R&B that most of the people around here listen to, sprinkled with the 1:24 anime openings that I could get off Limewire. That's what I listened to before I got heavily into VK and then rock music anyway. I hate to toot my own horn but I probably have the most diverse musical taste out of all the people in close proximity to me.
