  1. Patient: defspiral

Diagnosis: They're writing only anime tunes that are utter shit as musical pieces taken out of context. They haven't released one song that hasn't been used in an anime yet. They're The Underneath without the bite, the push, the ESSENCE that made The Underneath so unique. Now they just sound old and tired.

Prescription: Turn the volume up to 11, put the crunch in the guitars and the kick ass back in the composition. TAKA needs to scream. Just because you're missing TAL doesn't mean you can fucking suck.

  2. I'm pretty sure most of us heard it. Even though it's horrible as all get out I'm probably going to force myself to like it because I respect this band so much.

Yes, I force myself to like things I hate. I'm masochistic like that.

  3. Patients: BORN

Diagnosis: Overlooked much like the gazette's old style since joined PsC.

Prescription: should not copied same style over and over again.

BORN hasn't released anything since they've joined PSC. Do agree that they're overlooked, especially since they're one of the best indies acts around.

  4. Agreed on both the parts about The Poet and the Pendulum and Marco. I'm going to confuse a lot of people with this, but The Poet and the Pendulum was the first Nightwish song I ever heard and DPP was the first album I got. I have yet to find anything with Tarja that does indeed equal what that song is full of. The Siren comes close but it just doesn't unfold the same way.

Also, I thought the weakest track on the last album was Master Passion Greed. Something about Marco's voice was off. Not good enough really. Also, hearing Reach and Cadence of her Last Breath with him on vocals just reminds me that he's good as support but doesn't sell it when he's up at the front all the time (obv. Islander is an exception). He's good when he duets and when he throws in a scream here and there but otherwise I want him in the back on the bass. But that's just my preferences :P

  5. I'm a fan of old Nightwish. Oceanborn has to be my favorite release from them. That said, I don't understand what everyone (not here, obviously) has against Anette. She could use some vocal lessons, but she's taking them. She's "off-key" live, but so are most vocalists. She can't sing? Subjective. I think she sounds bearable.

Tuomas finished up writing all the songs for the new album a month or so ago and the band's in the studio recording. This is good news. Hopefully Anette's improved a lot.

  6. ronluna acts like more than 5% of the people that visit these boards look at anything either than news or downloads.

Personally I think METAL SAFARI is quite an underrated band. They've got some good stuff. Might up their latest release later today.

  7. Uroboros has sold almost 50 000 copies since it was released, SR over 100 000.
SR sold 100,007 in the first week so that helps out your point a lot.

Though, to be honest, I just fucking. hate. comparing Gazette and Dir en grey. They have nothing in common musically (yeah, they have almost the same kind of intro, which no one never listens to. who cares. neither of them invented that)..

Wise words. Agreed on everything. I'm curious though, what intro are you referencing?

  8. I hope so too but KISAKI's all about making the money so for once that might not be an issue. I don't remember either chariots or Phantasmagoria having too many (I know actuality was live-limited but it was upped anyway) and in an age where tons of VK bands like to release live-distributeds as a way of drawing in a consistent crowd Lin doesn't have to do that since most of the Magomago fanbase followed.

  9. My BFF and benevolent goddess Phylosophie is struggling with the decision of whether or not to take her very old, sick, and in pain dog to the vet to be put to sleep. She's been agonizing over this for better than a week.

Meanwhile her computer monitor (an old CRT that was used when she got it) started to die and her parents flipped the fuck out when she told them, telling her that it's her fault for using it "twenty-four seven" (and by extension MY fault because she lets me use her computer since mine is a P.O.S.). She ended up solving the problem by taking money out of her stash that she's been saving to try to get the fuck away from all the bullshit at home - $233 of it to be exact which is a very significant chunk.

Her parents are STILL always bitching about how the have no money to pay the bills but they can spend $500+ on smokes a month and now not only are they looking at buying ANOTHER commercial fishing boat but they're also considering buying a house in New York state.

Great blue mongolian clusterfuck, what the hell is wrong with some people that they have to torture others?!

Pretty much this. Parents are being evermore irresponsible with their finances and now I'm going to have to pay for it, like usual. Instead of paying off my college bill my parents decided it's OK to just not tell me and go ahead and pay the ridiculous sum for my sister's elementary school.

My sister is mentally psychotic and will end up getting kicked out of that school so call that wasted money that could have been spent on me going to school. Now I've got to find some way to fill the gap or else I don't go to college anymore. FAMILY IS GREAT DONT U NO?

  10. Heard there was an out of court settlement. He probably had to do some community service on the side as well. Don't know for certain though.
Wasn't the drummer from Ayabie also involved in this?
I don't know. I didn't read anything concerning Ayabie's Dr.'s role in this. Then again, there were so many stories floating around I don't even know what's true and what isn't.

  11. ^Nah, there was another b-side along with Kugutsue. "?????? ??????" (don't remember the romaji). The drum patterns are kinda similar, and the overall structure of the song as well.
Kyomu no Owari Hakozume no Mokushi should be the romanized version of it. I should go compare and see for myself...

  12. You know what I hate more than live-distributed singles? Bands that distribute one at their final live in quantities of 300 or less -_-

That's just a general observation. I neither like nor hate this band. Shame they have to go though.

  13. Indeed, they can't come back~ oh oh~ 8D

    this

i really liked this single :(

and i got tired of all these disbandments in visual kei

    everything is so?transient

Getting attached to an indie VK band is like getting attached to RHYOLITE. You know they're going to disband, you know they're not going to be around long, you know that most of their music is going to be substandard. Hoping for anything else is setting yourself up for failure. :D

I have no doubt that meth.'s members may continue in the music industry. They usually do.

And I wonder what that means for DEATHGAZE...

  14. Well Toki had to go take care of family problems and the band had lost Nao earlier so I guess the general consensus among the band was that VANESSA was no longer VANESSA, if I'm making any sense.

Don't question this too much. Bands do it all the time. One member leaves, band disbands, new band is immediately formed with four members of the previous band.
