I know this thread has been on the forum for a good while now, and I didn't understand it when it was first posted and I don't understand it now. Do you guys seriously need a support group for not finding VK likeable anymore? Or what is this about? I'm about this full of people constantly whining about how "current VK bands aren't good" or "I've realised VK sucks" or "I've just moved on". (And by constantly I mean multiple times throughout years, not necessarily all the time every day. ) OK, that's great. Good for you. But do you need to be telling everyone else about it? Why do you feel the need to come amongst people, who most likely are still into that stuff, in some way or another, and just tell them that you're not that into it? Do you think anyone cares? 
 
Damn this forum sometimes. Makes me wish there was a therapy moderator who'd just listen to people's whining so they wouldn't have to come on the forum to do that.

But as usual, I ended up hating this one. Started to notice mistakes immediately after I had finished drawing it and it looks nothing like I wanted it to. So, two days later (last night) I redrew the picture from scratch:
 

 
 
Note that the time between these two pictures is about 2 nights. So which one do you think is better?
 
I vote for the second one. Kinda feels like whenever I draw something, the first attempt is without an exception absolute pile of shit. And then, when I get more comfortable with the concept of my drawing, it suddenly gets better. I feel like I managed to capture better anatomy with the second one, and also a better angle, although the latter'd still need some work, but fudgesticks, I'm not good at angles.

Anyways, tried my wings with very simplistic greyscale colouring. 
There are a multitude of mistakes which make me want to redraw the whole thing. Which I'm probably gonna do as well since I'm intending this to be a part of a silent comic at some point.

My lovely, never-to-exist-in-the-gameverse Inquisitor (Dragon Age: Inquisition). He's a wee hedonistic shit that I love deeply, like a child of mine. He couldn't give a rat's ass if the whole world just got vaporised, as long as he got to lie with everyone, eat everything and misuse the power granted to him. Hopefully I managed to project his awesomely horrible personality in this work.

What me and my pal Platy just here demonstrated might be considered as petty hatred towards a band/singer by someone. While, to the fans of Mashiro and Paradeis, our opinion might seem just extraordinarily unnecessary, to me it's a great deal of fun. 
 
And that's where this whole "petty" hatred stems from! Essentially, it's just one person or a group of people entertaining themselves or others. Comedy is not kind, comedy is not polite. It's laughing at sarcastic remarks, irony of situations or someone else's deliberate or accidental injury.
 
I personally don't spend a huge deal of my life thinking about how much I hate Mashiro's drunken bovine voice and his face that looks like he was dropped on his head in the labour room one too many times. But if I get a chance to make a funny remark about it that amuses myself or potentially even another person, there's no end to it. I count that a victory in my books.

I don't think that's what the saying is for. I think the meaning behind "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is to make the best of the shit you've been given and attempt to turn it around?

I used to write VK fanfiction in my younger days. I don't anymore. That part of me ended when my relationship with my ex-gf ended 5 years ago. After that I had no one to muse with and I just sorta dropped it. I don't miss it too much, to be honest. I've moved on. 
 
I still read fanfiction tho. I'd consider myself a junkie but uhh... I'm not, really. I feel quite picky, much like the other people in this thread. I don't read J-fanfics at all anymore, tho, so that makes up for it. My fandom is video games. Preferably Dragon Age. Which has a HUGE fanfiction community, so being picky isn't that bad. Imma horny teenage girl as well and enjoy my smut and lemon way too much. Okay, I feel the need to clarify this tho: I enjoy smut the most when it's smashed together with a good plot. Smut just for smut isn't really doing it for me anymore. That's what 50 shades of fuck this shit is for.
And I'm veeeeeery particular about the plot and the writing style. Being that I'm in favour of gay couples (much like a lot of fanfic liking gals out there) I absolutely HATE it when authors write their male characters acting like 20-something-year-old bitches thirsting for drama. Nnnnnngh NO. 
 
Correction to my previous statement: I do not favour gay couples, I read EXCLUSIVELY of gay couples. Especially in DA fandom, too many females are self-inserts and I can't stand it. At least with established male characters the authors seem to pick up some of the intended characteristics and apply them to the written characters, enough that I don't feel the need to cringe when some horny lady wants to get it with Solas. 

I mean no offence, mate, but maybe, just maybe, you should slow down a bit. You've been having more dates than the rest of the forum combined. Perhaps you could start embracing your single-ness and be comfortable with it rather than try so desperately to change your status?
