This is getting interesting. Any proof that Versailles wasn't at the funeral? I remember reading interviews/blog entrys of the members talking about the funeral, as in being there. And weren't they really allowed to play there or didn't they want to? If they make up a story that he died of an illness, they wouldn't be able to hide the real reason. So I don't believe there is any "conspiracy" to it. It's most likely some illness.

I haven't payed attention to their lives, because 5 Ugly Kingdom and It Withers and Withers are really terrible. Haven't watched any new videos lately.

What the hell are you guys talking about? That's the first time EVER that Kyo actually sounded good on a live video. That's the kind of music Kyo should do. He doesn't fit Dir en grey at all. Uroboros would be infinity times better with someone else.

But the thing is that Miayvi is an excellent guitarist. Moon and Super Hero are great examples of that. It's just that the composing sucks in half of these songs. But the rest is great. I wasn't expecting this to be the greatest thing ever. It's good enough for me. No, because Malmsteen is one of the worst song writers I've heard in my life.

Really good playing though. But it's nothing but a filler. 2/5 Torture Very good. One of his best songs in a long time. Very addicting. Awesome chorus. 4/5 A-ha Aha? It had one good part. That's it. 1½/5 Money Blues Pretty much the same as A-ha. Nothing interesting. Catchy groove, but nothing groundbreaking. 2/5 I Love You I love it. Very groovy, has a nice 60's feel to it for some reason. Simple, but very well done. 5/5 Moon Great playing, great composing. Very nice melodies, very beautiful song. One of his best. 5/5 Gravity Terrible. Just terrible. Four clean notes and crappy screaming with one chord. And he manage to make it 6 minutes? What the hell? Worst song of the album. 1/5 Universe Snore. It had like one riff with little variations. Blah. And it wasn't even a good riff. 1/5 Unbreakable Filler again. Nothing worth listening to. 1/5 Shelter Finally a good song again. Main riff is really cool. It has some nice melodic vocals. Not bad at all. 3½/5 Super Hero Not as good as the original version, but it's still very good. One of his best songs ever. Though, his vocals aren't at his best here. 4½/5 Sutekina Mirai Beautiful. Very old-ish sounding. Good playing, good vocals. 4/5 Futuristic Love An okay song. Really interestin riffs, but there's really nothing happening there. 2/5 Survive Much better than the single version. So glad he re-recorded it. 4/5 Well, half of the songs are really good. Half are boring or just simply sucks. It's not as good as I was expecting. He's clearly trying to do some uncommercial underground stuff. But he shouldn't have made the whole album like this. More variation would've been good. Or atleast he should have taken more time to compose. Some songs sound like they were written in like an hour. Good effort though. Has some instant classics.

Red One of their best songs. It's really really catchy, very well composed and there's not a single part in it that would break the flow. It's just makes me wanna listen to it again and again. Vocals sound great, guitar solo is sweet. The only thing that sucks is Reita. And yeah, there's nothing "new" in it. This is Gazette, how stupid are you to even expect that? Melodies are all still very new. 9/10 Vermin It's different, but it still has that old-school Gazette-feel stalking it. I really like the chorus. And the bluesy solo is really nice, adds a cool side to it and shows their potential. 7½/10 An Unbearable Fact Starts off really well, but the solo ruins it. It's crappy, lacks good melodes, feels like they just add it there so it would have a solo. It's a shame, rest of the song is really good. 7/10 Best thing since DIM. Really looking forward to Pledge.

I like Vermin. It's different. I don't think it sounds like Disorder at all. Much better than Anything on BID and Shiver. Not as awesome as Red though. I'm really liking this direction. And Ruki isn't that bad, even though he's doing those nasal voices. And I disagree about the acoustic part, for once, I thought Reita's basslines fit. I like the chaotic feeling in the whole song. I was worried because BID sucked ass and Shiver was just average, but seems like this single is gonna be great.

^ Honestly I don't care. I just wanted comment because of that "whut a pussy" comment, which was so dum. Maybe we have a different definition of heavy. When I think of heavy, I automatically think of nowadays metal, like Wintersun and stuff. Sure, bands like Black Sabbath are considered heavy metal, because they were one of those who started it. But seriously, if they started today, no one would call them a metal band.

黒蟻 Great intro. I love it when VK bands do heavy songs that have more than two notes. 7/10 モザイク I really don't know what to think of this. Some parts are cool, but it's all just a huge mess. It's like it doesn't know where it's going. Like they thought "hey let's put this random riff here and see how it is". It's probably a fun live song though. 6/10 Innocent Bullet Great re-recording. My favorite song by them. Glad they didn't ruin it. 9/10 Neo Scream It's great. I wanted to hear some new melodic stuff by them. Easily the best new song. Gotta love those vocals. 8/10 ケミカルロマンス Another classic Born song. I like the old version more, but this ain't bad at all. 8/10 I'm too lazy to make a good review, but all the songs would have pretty much the same review. All the instruments are very well composed. The singer is great, he's really good at both, harsh and clean vocals. I hope they get the attention they diserve, and I hope they won't turn crap. Not that PSC would cause that, because come on, the label ain't really that bad.

Man, now that I think of it, it's been a really slow year. Not much albums were released which I cared about. Well, there's still Miyavi and -OZ- coming. But so far, in no specific order. DaizyStripper - Birth/Love NoGod - Kakera Versailles - Jubilee Yeah. The best non-japanese album so far this year is probably Whispered - Thousand Swords.

99% is pretty exxaggerating. And I fail to see how that's even a point. Most of every genre sounds pretty much the same, with slight variations. What I meant by "looks doesn't affect music" was, that even though they pay attention to their looks, it doesn't affect how the songs will turn out. Quality-wise. PS. 99% of all music in the past few decades is NOT original in any way. I don't understand why people complain when VK isn't original. Why the hell should they invent something completely new when no one else is doing it either? And it makes perfect sense that sometimes band does awesome music and sometimes they don't. I'm a musician myself, and I can tell you, that the quality of composing changes drasticly without any real reason. For example, this one song I composed over a year ago, is fucking awesome. I still love it. Some songs I wrote few months ago, were okay at first, but now I think they're pretty bad. There's nothing weird about it. A great band could easily do "total shit" after awesome music. Though, if the band really was good before, it doesn't really turn shit, you just think it's shit, because it's not your cup of tea. In reality, those "shit" songs could be musically much better than the earlier stuff. Taste of music changes. It also applies for bands. It's not usually some "evil label" tampering with their music, even though that happens too.

Miyavi's english is really good nowadays. I understood pretty much all the english parts in Torture. hide had great english. Toshi is pretty good too. The singer of Half-Life is better than most, even though it's not perfect.
