  2. It's been a while since they played at Hibiya, right? Last time I remember was during the PEEP SHOW era and the DVD that came out of it was incredible.

    you mean lynch.'s isn't Hazuki's solo project?
  4. saishuu

Yup. People are getting tons of shiny Pokémon already. Not sure if I like it better than DexNav yet though, but at least you don't have to be walking all the time.

Another new video, this time for "Ego", is up:

The game has taken over my life, as I expected. lol I cannot believe how good it is. Getting rid of gyms was such a fantastic idea by Game Freak. These trials are incredibly fun - the Fire one in particular is hilariously cheeky and I love it.

Nail in the coffin. The new song sounds horrible too. I'm finally done with them.
  8. Yeah, I get that you're new and that's okay, but you definitely shouldn't be creating a thread to basically promote your FB page.

Can't really blame Nintendo on taking such a stance on the leakers. I don't mind the leaks per se or the fact that people are already playing it for almost 2 weeks now, but you have to be dumb to go online on a hacked rom of the game and thus expose yourself. I hope whoever did it had a back-up 3DS with them, otherwise... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. how ironic is it that a thread for oshare kei was created and is doing incredibly well right after minpha/ishiki got banned?

sometimes MH is just too good

Just finished pre-downloading my Sun copy! 2 days to go! By the way, I'm choosing Rowlet for my Sun run and possibly Popplio for Moon whenever I'm able to get it. I ended up loving Incineroar too, but the other two are just so, so good.

I really like their first album, dhar·ma, and the singles leading up to it, but after that I completely lost track of their music. Pretty much everything until 2006 is perfectly good.

^ Oh man, I totally forgot about them too! Kra's early stuff was so goooood! I haven't listened to it in forever. I had "Kuu" stuck in my head for moooonths back when I discovered them. "Shounen Boogie", "Tatoe", "Fusion", "Circus" and "Showtime" were some of my other favorites.

As you should! I thought about including 176BIZ actually, but then I remembered their music style was all over the place (they even ripped off MUCC in one of their first singles lol) and their looks weren't really similar to the more colorful ones from the same era, save for Tara. Their first full-length (Atelier?) was really good though. @CarmelzorsI vaguely remember enjoying some of AN CAFE's pre-Shikisai Moment songs, but that album was what stuck with me the most. But yeah, their early stuff wasn't actually all that happy and bubbly music they came to embrace later in their career.

We're talking about bands who were actually good, sorry :/ jk, as much as I disliked Ayabie back then, they were great for a minute right after Yumehito joined them. I was addicted to this song right here for quite a while (although mostly due to the guitar riff):

Oh man, I totally forgot about Panikku! I like their kote/darker side more, but their oshare stuff was so fun.
  17. saishuu

Also in regards to AN CAFE, I don't say this too often, but their first full-lenght (色彩モーメント) was GREAT. I'm not sure how it holds up these days (haven't listened to it in forever), but I freaking loved it back then. マグニャカルタ also had some pretty cool tunes (mostly the singles, but still - スマイル一番 イイ♀ is a gem). ETA: @r...you know you want to contribute to this thread.

this accuracy lmao In all seriousness though, 2005~2007 was a rough period given how many insanely colorful and bad oshare bands were popping up like unnecessary screams in a DIR EN GREY song. But there were some gems along the way. To this day, I still don't think anyone's ever done oshare better than しゃるろっと. They were the perfect blend of bubbly pop-rock with the occasional serious and emotional music in the scene. An example of the latter: Clavier was right there with しゃるろっと in the top-tier of oshare too. Their music was sharp and super polished for such a young band, it was ridiculous. There were some duds here and there, sure, but most of their (sadly small) output was honestly stellar. Vinett comes right behind them for me. It's such a shame they lasted like two years and their album fell just a little short - while it still has some great songs, their singles were still a step above it. And I swear to whatever god there may be that this is one of the best visual kei songs of any period ever: HeaRT was also quite fun - they had one of the defining songs of the scene too, Daidai. Too bad v[NEU] sucked through all of their career, but once Jun wasn't involved any longer, it was bound to happen. And then we had the funky, jazzy, art-kei portion of the scene with mostly MELLO, 華族 (plus early THE KIDDIE) and ドーリスマリィ before they decided to turn into the third coming of LAREINE (RIP IZABEL VAROSA). 華族 was my favorite out the of bunch, but unfortunately they didn't last long after their main songwriter left (so long, Azusa-san). As for MELLO and ドーリスマリィ, I've lost hope their members will ever come back full-time. Thanks KAMIJO! Here are some of their best songs:

Pokémon and Type: Null's impact just realized they can actually even play DuelJewel songs lol I'd kill for an audio of Hitomi singing some of Lapidary
