Making me choose between my three favorite VK bands (excluding LUNA SEA because they're in another level) is NOT OKAY. That being said, I'd take a new Kagrra, any day. Neither Wagakki Band or Kiryu come close to what Kagrra, once was. They were an one-of-a-kind band, even during their heavily criticized major period.

lots of late Kazoku vibes YES dude's voice also sounds a lot like Yusa's too, bless if only their sound production had the same budget as their look though, that sounds almost unlistenable but I'll give them time

Enjoyed the hell out of that Chanty mini, definitely one of the highlights of 2016 for me as well! Those strong bass lines just made it so easy for me to like it.

I'm not a big fan of X/Y and I think S/M was a lot better, especially plot-wise. I'd have Lusamine and the Aether Foundation over lame Lysandre and pointless Team Flare any day. The secondary characters were probably the best in the entire franchise too - I seriously ended up missing Lillie after she left lmao Not to mention depressed grampa Nanu was the absolute best. I was pleased with the post-game as well. Sure catching like 4 of the same UB (goddammit Kartana) gets boring fast, but the interactions between your character and Anabel, Looker and Nanu were entertaining enough. It also explains to an extent why Looker showed up without his memories in ORAS, which was something I was more than glad to see.

MUCC in mid 00's was terrifying. Sometimes I felt they had a new single like every week.

I missed the Nakashima Koh post yesterday, but yay for that EP being included! @CAT5introduced me to him recently and I've been listening to both his EPs almost non-stop, and this one is definitely my favorite too. I was drawn to his music instantly given how it's almost like a LEO Imai + spam_life hybrid, only less electronic. Highly recommended!

The new TAMTAM is such a pleasant listen. I think I played it right before I went to sleep pretty much everyday for a month right after it came out. I agree with CAT5 in regards to the lack of a standout moment, but there are definitely a couple of nice combos in there, namely コーヒーピープル+CANADA and greedcity -the theme of lisa-+星雲ヒッチハイク. In a year where the quieter albums caught my attention the most, this was definitely one of my favorites.
