I personally haven't listened to Nightmare in a long time (the last release I heard by them was a single somewhere in 2011), but I decided to watch that video DogManX posted just out of curiosity. Is it just me, or does Yomi sound....really off and frankly quite terrible here? I mean the few Nightmare songs I have he sounds like he should but this just feels weird.

^ Indeed! Both Ito and I will be replacing the remaining old banners over time (the ones that were up before we implemented this new rotating banner system). I will be putting up polls every time I plan on making a new one. Like I said, Ito has complete freedom in how far he wants to involve the community in his choice of bands. Feel free to post suggestions in the thread shizukasou linked, that's where I'll look for popular suggestions. If there isn't a majority for certain artists, I'll put all suggestions into a randomizer and pick 8 choices from there. So if you want to have influence on part of the banners, make sure to post your suggestions in the corresponding thread!

I tried to pick both VK as non-VK artists for this poll. Most of the artists that I selected from the thread got multiple votes in the suggestions thread, that's what I picked them on. If you guys aren't satisfied with the picks as a whole, I will be working with a randomizer next time. Get voting now! There were multiple suggestions for THE NOVEMBERS, but sadly the quality of their pictures aren't good enough to make a decent banner out of Voting ends this Friday, 12PM-GMT.

Don't do option 1 and keep complaining about it This may sound harsh but it's the truth. Staying stuck in the past isn't going to make you feel any better about current VK. There are plenty of other artists, especially out of VK, that offer a lot of great stuff. All you have to do is be open to it, and you might discover something great. I know I did!

No love for bomi? One of the cutest artists in Japanese indie-pop, really looking forward to her new album! Also there's this new indie band on Zankyo called 雨のパレード (ame no parade) who have a female drummer, they're pretty rad.

Interesting list! I'm honestly one of the minority when I say that I think that Rhapsody in Beauty is probably one of my least favourite albums from THE NOVEMBERS. Xeno was the only song I could really get into, but one good song doesn't make a good album. I feel like it just doesn't stick too well. I've listened to the album over 5 times by now and Xeno is literally the only song that I remember. Kan Wakan's album was really good though, not what I expected, but a great listen.

Charisma.com is nothing like idol-culture (pretty sure MC Itsuka would have your head if she heard you say this lmao). If there's anything they don't like, it IS idol-culture. And it's not household problems they rap about, it's about issues that plague Japanese society as a whole. I wouldn't judge this book by its cover, because you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The staff is not one hivemind and consists of different people with different opinions. I myself am not part of the review team, thus I could only speak of how I see the situation from an outsider's perspective. It is not my place to call them out on it, not here, in any case.

^ Have you tried going for a walk, or drink lots of water? I usually get double vision and headaches after long sleeps because for some reason I don't properly wake up. Deep sleep can cause that, but going for walks or lots of water usually helps.

I'm so sorry to hear that nostalgia, that is absolutely terrible Just last week a friend of mine lost their 6-month old puppy to some jackass who poisoned it too. I have no idea who in their fucking minds thinks it's fun to lay around poison just to kill unexpecting animals. It's absolutely gross and people like this are the worst pieces of scum on the earth.
