I'm going to go in a slightly different direction with this conversation to give those who haven't taken Humanities classes something to chew on. Reading these lyrics reminded me of this news story from a few years ago. I will provide the text in case the article disappears in the future, as news articles are wont to do.
 
 
The parts in bold line up with segments of the lyrics too well - mixed with a bit of Chiaki's imagination and artistic freedom of course. I don't believe the main character has hang ups or regrets as much as he gets off on killing and eating men, and now he's found someone that he wants to eat him. I point to the lyric I'll have dinner with "me" and you and I am interpreting "me" as if he is offering himself for dinner.

The second thing I thought of was that this main character must have killed and eaten before and that his constant cannibalism led to development of gastric ulcers. The inclusion of "Gastric Ulcer" in the title was a way of hinting at cannibalism without directly stating it, and possibly was a way to get around Japanese censors. I agree on the interpretation of "Rousseau's Illusion" everyone has given so far. I also think the "you" in the lyrics are ambiguous. When I read the first passage, what comes to mind is a deranged man talking to his carved up lover in a freezer. When it switches into the next paragraph, the "you" is now us. Chiaki is Brandes, we are Meiwes.

being a fan of vk for a while, you get used to disbandments being a possibility for everyone but i guess it never occurred to me Boris is a band of people, too

After nearly three years since "NOISE," BORIS will release their next album "DEAR" in July 2017. It will first be released in Japan through Daymare Recordings, on 2CD (¥3,200+tax) and 3LP (¥7,000+tax), on 12th July, 2017. Then, Sargent House will release a regular 1CD/2LP version on 14th July, 2017.
 
According to NPR, the band was originally planning to release this as a final album and then disband, but they felt a presence of new energy during the PINK TOUR in 2016. The album reportedly contains "10 tracks culled from three albums worth of material."

Well, to sound like a broken record - I'm not at all surprised; and they needed this. That's not to say I'm happy, necessarily. Mejibray were a big part of why I got heavily invested in vk again after a few years of mostly apathy, so they'll always be important to me for that. And my interest in their later releases seems to have lasted longer than most people's, since I personally liked Venoms.app and the singles leading up to it, although they started losing me after that.
 
In any case, I hope the guys find projects they can actually enjoy. Mejibray's music was sounding rather bland at this point, and there's no point in staying together if there's no inspiration for it.

The thing about a hiatus is that it signifies more than wanting to take a break. Visual kei is an exception, but when bands want to take breaks they typically...don't record music. MEJIBRAY have done their fair share of that the last few months, and visual kei bands are always looking to their future activities, so I'm wondering if this pause is them deciding if they really want to disband or not. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a return just to break up formally.

I'm not sad to see them go, as I was over their style a while ago. Still, a pillar of the neo-vk scene is crumbling this is really big.
