Total Saikou

I used my corona bucks for something I deem essential 😤 In one purchase, it was like 80-90$ for 4 CDs I really wanted to get my hands on. I spent a little more a few times a week on some other CDs and I think I racked my way up to 400$ by the end of the month. Probably not a lot by other people's standards but to me, who can keep to a budget like it's my religion, it was a moment of weakness. I've toned it down since then, thank goodness (and since I went back to work and actually have to earn my cash 😪)

It's just built over the years and I finally got tired of being the person to say  yes or no to certain releases and if they can't get their way they throw a fit. If you guys know me, I always share releases I have if you ask me to, I don't even upload them here, I do it because of course I like the band, and you like the band, so it's like sharing things in common.  Random throwaway account  dm me for releases when they know I have it; then don't talk to me ever again until I have something they want or throw a fit because I won't give it to them because I don't know them. I know you all for so long it wouldn't bother me if you asked me for something I have that you want. I grew up here; with most of you, and I really do like all of you. Trust me you guys have been awesome to me, random throwaway accounts, can't really tell who they are, but I'll still be around. I won't publicly upload anymore, but if you slide me a DM and I known you for so long, it wouldn't bother me to give you it.

That sucks  I'm sorry that happened and I can't make sense why you would be called those things for sharing so much with the community.

Maaaan to be completely honest, I know exactly where you’re coming from. A quick heads up as I’m gonna embark on a rant. Idunno how many people will see this, but I thought I’d just let it out.  I’ve been inching closer to considering retiring from uploading on here myself by the month completely. Back in the day when I started, people would always leave likes, comment and say thanks, and would just let their gratitude be known. Nowadays though, people just seem to ignore writing anything/liking the post, and just take. The original considerate folk seemed to gradually leave throughout the last few years. And then there was a “controversy” that made me stop uploading a whole other format all together.
 
It definitely feels like a somewhat different place as it seems a bit more ghosted and a lot more hostile. The hostility seemed to have reared its ugly head a few years ago, and just unraveled from there. Idunno. I may leave myself sometime, but maybe not. I haven’t really decided. But as for where you’re coming from, I hear ya loud and clear and can relate all the way. Lots of peckerbutts have infiltrated on here, whether rude, ungrateful or both. And it just seems to exacerbate.

Sorry to hear that! I don't know what happened, but I do know that some people are just trash and cannot be satisfied. I appreciate all the hard work people like you and others put in to this forum: uploads, reviews, opinions, etc. Collectively, it all makes this a great forum to discuss our passion for J-rock. So even if your uploads disappear, make sure you stick around yourself!

I'm so sorry you experienced this. I'm grateful for your uploads and I thank you for sharing all this time. Too bad some asshats are greedy as fuck and are ungrateful, which is why I stopped uploading too.

What Tok and Jig said is great advice, if I can put in my own favs I'd recommend the "Good bye" compilation album  because it's got some of their best A-sides on it, and some great B-sides too. It's a good cali≠gari sampler imo, covers a decent breadth of their works so you can get an overall taste of what the boyz put out. Bluefilm (the whole mini album) absolutely blew me out of the water when I first listened to it front to back, so I'd recommend it too.

If you liked that particular song, I think you might enjoy the "Dai 6 jikkenshitsu" and "Dai 7 jikkenshitsu" albums the most for starters. The other stuff Tokage mentioned are all good for beginners too I think.

Their albums Dai 5 up to Dai 7 are my favorites of their pre-hiatus era. For their reunion stuff I'd say their 2011 mini-album =/= and their 2019 mini are both very good & their albums 12 and 13 are too

IDK if this counts but my cat stops sleeping and gets up to leave whenever I sing along to Diru or X Japan (she really hates my attempts at their ballads lol)
