LOL I have 3 at work myself and it does feel like a lot sometimes, but then I come home to my 2 monitor setup and wish I had an ultrawide instead.

Do you use aftermarket monitor stands or the supplied stands from the manufacturer?

I have it the other way around, 2 at work and 3 at home ^.~ though I wish for a 3rd one at work sometimes too, once you get used to it, it feels like a handicap to have one less... >.>

I took the two-way stand to the office when I switched to a thee-way at home. manufacturer's stands are such a waste of desk space. I think even if I had just the one monitor I'd use an after-market to get the stand off my desk

I have to deal with the stands provided for my dell monitors (no VESA compatibility) at home, and yes they are a HUGE eyesore in terms of real estate on my desk for me. I'm debating getting an ultra-wide during our holiday seasons coming up here, but I don't use my PC like I used to, so it might be a waste on me. Idk, I'll decide then.

LOL that monitor stand must really weigh down the center of your desk. It reminds me of those kids that buy a table from IKEA and then don't realize the materials aren't reinforced resulting in mad sag after a few months. I have a dual monitor stand in one corner of my desk at work, with a single monitor stand on the opposite corner, that way the stress is not in the center.
