I used to do that but I don't think it worked that way for me. I used to only listen to slow droning ambient stuff, dark jazz like Bohren and Der Club of Gore, situationally depressing songs like The Flashbulb and a lot of Keane's old sad stuff, Broken Spindles, Depeche Mode etc. By a certain time it had only aggregated my mania with everything else and I ended up bed ridden for three weeks and into one of the worst years of my life. Not really blaming the music wholly, but I don't think I'd ever recommend it if I was asked. I have to wonder if there are people it genuinely worked for. With time and a lot of self medicating I realized the only way for me to deal with that stuff was the opposite, not sad music but just noise. Hardcore EDM like DJ Technorch, or Igorrr level noise. Sometimes I make compilations of tornado sirens and people laughing/yelling layered with 6 YT vids sounds. That's how I ended up here actually, looking for more noise. I think now the closest I've let myself get to a sad or very empathetically leeching kind of song is anything Atsushi Sakurai sings. Even if I've mellowed a lot I can't get rid of the hypersensitive empathy, and his voice carries so much pain most of the time. If I shared happy songs they're pretty much all something like Moonlight Feels right, or In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry.

Tepid on this one. I could do with more chaos. Even though it's only short parts I don't like the major key chorus stuff, they do look like they're having fun though lol. and that final squeak got a laugh from me.

Haha true, I just roll a lot so I bet it will end up being waded above my head and I'll wake up looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket lol. (ﾉ∀`) thanks. It's definitely a weird change..and now more people stare at me more than usual.

it feels like a new chapter of my life will start soon, a lot of things culminating, and saying goodbye to my favorite band of almost 16 years. This Muse will never come back and I've finally accepted it.

Yeah...I mean there's no question their abilities are still incredible, I saw them live again just last year and finally got to hear Bliss live, but the show opened with Dig Down, and that Cramps cover...plus had one too many Drones songs sprinkled in.
The empath leech passion I just don't feel from Matt's voice anymore.

I liked some songs off BH&R and The Resistance too (Undisclosed Desires is great!) and it was hard for me to admit they weren't the same as well, so I get what you mean. I used to be obsessed with them between 05-09, but once you get older and realize most bands you like end up not doing if for you anymore after a few of years, it gets easier.

Loove that look a lot, way better than the last one. I wasn't crazy about their last release, but I got some high hopes for bleach milk on the shortcake lol. btw did anyone ever find /buy/ get a download for 僕等の曲天烈大百科3? I couldn't find a copy to buy anywhere except one that sold on closetchild, and no downloads either.

I had a semi lucid dream where I got to meet Mei at this secret island cave in a bar, and the first thing I asked him to do was kick me in the face for the photo.
He did it twice. Seems legit

@AimiGen7 well, it worked but didn't...no lucidity at all, 6 very random consecutive dreams though, 4 with Mei but in an abstract way lol. Like when someone from your past shows up in a dream but is almost completely different as a dream NPC.
Couldn't fall asleep until 5:30 so that didn't help, but I am just happy to dream again. I've had long stretches of months/year where I really couldn't connect to my brain at all like I used to.

「人」と「形」is my favorite song on the album...I don't think that surprises me since it almost sounds like a new Sukekiyo song, and even reminds me of old Muse in some spots. But the soft operatic voice he does at the end is really beautiful I hope he'll do more of and less of DEG pterodactyl screeching. Also liked GROTESQUE, and Mad [K]...no intrusive thoughts are getting through listening to that song lol. 2:58~end of Mad [K] I love the sound of a lot too. Only deleted one track, pretty sure it was Vanitas. I didn't get as hyped beforehand cause I thought it'd just be more DEG sound which I've gotten bored of, I kinda hope he'll ease more into his own style of screaming and screeching cause I definitely like his growls.

Yeah, but way too short to be sure yet. I do want it to be chaotic but not blender against the wall. Won't judge anything wholly by LQ youtube vids anymore tho, EQ changes thing drastically for me.

This time seems wise to wait for the collection album, I don't have 150-200 to drop on fees, shipping and taxes(again) that the band only sees 15% of. Unless the tracks just blow me away and the cover art is killer, then maybe I'll go for one. I just hope for no more だるまさん I think Karu looks great, and Mirai from the neck up but man I hate that purple. Think neutral toned hair looked coolest on Batsu, Halloween store witch doctor doesn't meld with him to me lol.

I'll just force myself to be interested in other stuff for the meantime. Sad about Kuro and K but at least they left something worth remembering. Just hope whoever Mei teams with can do justice, but I'll follow either way. (Unless there was some 8psb8bm8sturbate shit then I'll just die.)

I like this more than the previous song, and beautiful MV, though I wish it wasn't a fade out ending. And yes please bring back wide brimmed hats, so long as you can own it.

The obsessive symmetrist in me is going nuts that the whole album cover is off center by a hair both in bg and font.

I'm also on the fence, I kind of want to wait to see if they shake things up more...but I do like the new song, and don't own Tabetai or Kurashii.

For me I know upon a first listen if I will try more, unless it's a band with a lot of variation then I will also try the other type of songs. Number one requirement though is that I love the vocalist's voice, if I don't then no good for me. I'm really sensitive to different pitches and certain tones in the high range irrationally irritate me like listening to someone chew food. Good quality bass is also required, I need to feel it in my head with EQ to keep me focused.

I don't mind it, think I'll like it more with proper bass EQ. I think for sure the other songs will be more heavy, if not, I'll eat a hat. Never bothered me they sounded like Dezert cause I liked Dezert's acoustics but not their vocalist's voice at all. But I like Ryo's voice.
