TOXIC's nothing more but a solo album of Ruki with lots of recycled/copied songs* *SHIVER = Luna Sea's "End of Sorrow" Tomorrow Never Dies = Nausea & Shudder + some bad, poppy b-side MY DEVIL ON THE BED = MM's "mOBSCENE" or something similar SLUDGY CULT = Sads' "Because" (I still like this, even if it sounds WAY TOO similar.) THE SUICIDE CIRCUS = Stacked Rubbish mashup (mostly FitB's elements) UNTITLED = Guren + Bath Room (?) PSYCHOPATH = Discharge RUTHLESS DEED = give it a guess... VORTEX = Crucify Sorrow + Hyena (?) * Irrelevancy shines in my post, yeah I know; but do I have to expect something "outstanding" from them this time? No idea, I am still raiding my Gazelibrary just to find even a glimpse of some interest I garnered back in 2006-2010)

ProudiA ended up as nothing more but a forced PSC-snoozefest ballad with a neat solo, that unfortunately deserves a better spot (aka the other song not made by this band) Won't review the rest of bland, vocally poor and instrumentally boring repertoire Just no. 1/5 (Only for that solo, that's all.)

I would ask the same thing about Kagrra's last release and TOXIC (aka 'the recycling fest album') But I felt like UNiTE's guys knew what they were doing (unlike Zuck or Zoro (examples)), others may agree with this.

Hmm... XA-VAT - Endo Goatbed meets a big variety of cheesy dance genres from the 80s - probably the best electronic VK album, methinks. UNiTE - Starting Over's Solid vk pop release. Must-try for everyone that wants to look for the softer side of good *pretty boy* genre. Alice Nine - Gemini I can't say anything bad about this record atm nor count the flaws in it - but it's the best A9 album, at least for my kind of prog geek. Amber Gris - Pomander I remember myself liking and listening to this record alot while being outside - it has a nice indie-ish vibe in it, dunno. Also: ^ this. Won't count any singles in since I've been quite unsure about this year's singles. 9GBO's Draw and Cali-Gari's # were the ones I liked the most tho... The rest is either unexplored in my case or just disliked for a reason or two. Conclusion: Good year for vk pop, bad year for heavy acts (I can't find anything interesting in MEJIBRAY's music, sry guys)

Hi there! And didn't they just go major with their last single? I don't know for sure but it could be they're still indie. Girugamesh and Mucc are technically still indie (unless something happened and I didn't notice them go major, though last time I checked they were still indie) I don't think being indie are major changes anything though. Ellegarden was really popular; and they've never been major throughout their 10 years of existence. Umm off-topic but how can Mucc be an indies band if they moved on to Sony? Girugamesh is somewhere in between, since it's pretty seldom for some indies band to appear on Japanese billboards (I remember myself seeing "Alive" pv in top 100 oricon programme or something like that) Not sure about Oz.

Gazette has been such a gag and bore for me lately (I only wish that Japanese fangirls would stop calling them as "THE NEXT LUNA SEA OMG" despite the fact that they actually do have same-ish fame status) I highly doubt that this is true - Ruki's probably still keeping his trollface on (how come I should really believe him if TOXIC was his own solo-album?)
