Nice to (officially) meet you all, I'll try to talk about myself in a quick and clear way so nobody don't get slammed by tons of text, haha.
 
I'm French. I've listened and adopted the Visual Kei style for 13 years now. Although I admit being "old kei", I do my best to listen to new bands/artists to not miss those who might be interesting.
If I had to give you a top 3 of my favorite artists, I'd say Mana-sama (MALICE MAIZER/Moi dix Mois), ASAGI (D) and KAMIJO (LAREINE/Versailles).
 
I'm a Visual Kei/J-Rock model since 2015. I started during the Tokyo Collection of the same year for the Japanese brand Tenbo.
I've also been a freelance scenarist for 10 years. It's unnecessary to tell you that Japan has been my biggest passion since my tender age.

V STAR PROMOTION working with Kinetic Vibe are about to bring MORRIGAN to Europe for a tour starting next week.
It is our first time bringing a band to Europe, but I'm sure it won't be our last!

As for me @BrenGun is correct, I am currently based in Osaka Japan as are a percentage of V STAR staff,  however, I am originally from Australia.

My main reason for joining this forum is to meet fellow Jrock, Jpop and VK fans. I'm very happy to have found this forum because all of the VK forums I've found so far have died many years ago and, as you may have guessed, it's extremely rare to find someone who listen to this music when you live in the countryside of Italy xD
 
I'd like to find people from all over the world with whom to have interesting conversations, share common interests and it would be great to find travel/concert buddies as well, since my dream is to go to Japan and attend my favourite bands' lives there.
 
Among my favourite bands are: X Japan, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, Merry, miyavi (I mean the old one T.T), Kishidan <3, Golden Bomber, Kaya, Seileen/ Selia, Versailles, Psycho Le Cemu.
Not visual kei music but I love them anyways: DJ OZMA and basically every OST from every Ryu Ga Gotoku game.

I've been mostly away from jrock community for a last few years so I lost a contact with everyone. Everything changed so much :/ Now I'm back to make a tour for a certain japanese musician in 2018. I'm looking for promotors in Europe, mostly in France, Germany and Scandinavia, but generaly every European country is fine. Can anyone suggest me any promotor I can contact? Please?

lmao I was actually booking the travels to this as I went to check the mysterious surge of activity in this thread. So much for nothing. Visual kei in europe is dead and in all honesty the promoters are as much part of the blame as the unfavorable zeitgeist

As a huge collector of MERRY goods and releases, (and an even bigger stan), I feel that it's my duty to preserve some pictures, whether it's old flyers, photosets, pamphlets, magazines, or even artist photos. MERRY has been active for well over 15 years (as of this writing), so it's no surprise that most of these can get lost to time. Because of this, I've taken the time to scan my own collection and maintain its high quality compared to what a casual fan is able to find online. Included in my collection are also magazines/pamphlets that are rare because they're limited to Japanese purchase or can only be accessed by their fanclub. You can thank this thread for inspiring me to display my scans here; I mainly upload my scans to my MERRY tumblr fanblog. 👈If you wish to know the source of some of these scans, you can find more info from there.
 
*And just in case you're wondering, feel free to use my scans in any positive way you wish. That's mainly what they're here for ^^ I don't understand those who are strict with their uploads and/or ruin their pics by watermarking them ;~;

Interesting question. I've always wanted to be able to read and write Japanese but never really wanted to be Japanese. I am happy with my own ethnicity, even if I'm just a little, plain British girl hah. I've always wished to live in Japan though, or anywhere in Asian and not where I've always lived here. To be able to easily find and purchase their music, clothes and DVDs, go to concerts and events and look around the area makes me really jelly of everyone who lives there. But not exactly to be born Japanese, although, some TV series and movies have made me want to grow up there aha. : 3

I was quite suprised when I realized that there isn't any general conversation about travelling at all, as I know lots of users on this site travel a lot.
 
Because this site concentrates on Japan, I am pretty sure most of us want to visit the place. So let's start with that; have you visited Japan, or will you? Have you even been abroad and if you have, where have you been? Which country was your favourite? Which country you would recommend to other people; why? Travelling budgets? City trip vs. beach trip? Any backpackers?
 
Also, I am quite interested about japan visitors travel budgets. How much did you use for flights, food per day, living and so on?

I wonder if anyone on here has ever thought about creating an irl event for monochrome heaven for people to go? Something like a gathering to meet local people who also like Visual Kei. 
If it's not against forum rules to do something like this and the idea is interesting to you I'll be really happy to talk about it.

I think we're about the same age, so I'd feel less stupid doing it
But honestly, if they ever come here again, the inviation stands (though, I cannot promise that they'll play anywhere near where I'm from, but we could still go together and be ancafe grandmas!)
 
On their last tour, Yuuki tried to teach us a para para, but the audience failed so spectacularly that he gave up after some time ;D so maybe next time we'll do better!

haha that's fun tho. I remember the dance was easy but I never took the time to learn it properly. I'll do it before the next tour for sure, just to remember the good ol' days (maybe we could dance around together too) xD

I really hope they'll come again to Europe soon, but I don't have much hope....their new album has been in stores since Febuary, so I think they would've announced one already
If there's one in Germany again, you just have to come over to my place and we'll see them together
 
btw: I can still do the dance to natsu koi natsu game. This has been sooo long ago. I only felt a bit stupid doing it while doing housework the other day haha. I'm a grandma caffekko already.

Okay, so I actually wrote down an entire playlist because.....I had a lot of time on my plate haha These are songs that are all amazing live, and create a nice atmosphere, in my opinion. I also put in some of my favourite songs that I never had the pleasure to see live, but still would love to.

Uhm this is a tough decision xD to be honest I mostly like the older albums. I'm not sure if it will be possible to hear them all, but I'd really like to hear: Escapism and Nyappy in the world (this were the first two song I have ever listened of them <3 ), Kakusei Heroism, Smile Ichiban Ii Onna,  Maple Gunman   and you?
