    Note 1: You'll notice I translated "kurashi raku / kurashi raku" two different ways. That's because two different kanji are used for "raku" respectively. 楽 means 'comfort' while 落 means 'to fall'.

    Note 2: The ordinary day for the rabbit refers to the previous lines of living a life between comfort and hardship.

    Note 3: The part about the sky was hard to interpret because of how it's structured as one whole sentence and again not knowing who the subject is gramatically. I saw it as the sky being the cutthroat or killer. It doesn't have common sense because it's the sky―it is what it is, isn't going to change, and can't think for itself. When I imagine someone comitting suicide by jumping from something I see them looking up at the sky to feel free of their worries. It's the last thing that 'happens' to the person before they make the final move―the last thing they really see. But on the other hand the sky is also oppressive because it's part of our world, which in this song the person can no longer live in. It's like the bubble that encapsulates it and symbolises that we're trapped here on earth with our earth problems. In that sense then it really is the killer.

     

    Trivia: It seems the first line of the lyrics in the official booklet is actually wrong. I don't own the booklet but two sources I have seen that references it say 僕を死因出すまいたい (boku o shiinde sumaitai) which doesn't really make sense and is gramatically awful. He's CLEARLY saying 僕は死んでしまいたい (boku wa shindeshimaitai).

    Here's another Mamireta translation, this time for 死因:わからん (Shiin: Wakaran).

     

    I managed to get my hands on the kanji for 死因:暮らし and 死因:無視  too courtesy of ZERO so expect translations for those.

    The kanji for 食べたい (Tabetai) was on Jpopasia so I'll do that at some point as well since there was a request for it in the Ojamashimasu thread.

    Note: As is always the case in Japanese, you rarely ever know who the subject is, you have to work it out through context. What I get from it is that Batsu is playing the part of the rabbit. So even though I switch from first person to third person, it's all referring to the same 'person'. Think of it like he's reporting what's happened ("I was killed by something") then looking at it from afar or retrospectively ("The killing of a rabbit in bondage"). That's my take on it.

     

    Note 2: The 'bondage' they're referring to specifically is 亀甲縛り (kikkou shibari) which roughly translates to 'tortoise shell bondage'. I'll let you guys Google that.

    I like the sound of 人間を被る, I'm a bitch for Kyo's screams so I've got everything I need. First time I've heard of Ash, had to look it up. This new version sounds really good. Not even worth mentioning the live recording of Utafumi. I like that song but it should be a crime to put such an awful recording on a single and make people pay for it. Kyo sounds horrendous.

    A collection of CHARISMA.COM's best hits. I fucking love them so much. How can you not love them? Every song is so damn catchy. What pains me is that I'll never be able to see them live since they disbanded. At least I can still play their records on repeat, which is what I'll be doing with this one.

    Edit: Decided to move Charisma.BEST up to 5*. What the fuck was I thinking putting it at 4*?

    2018.03.07 - まみれた - 死因:暮らし

    3 tracks in total on this single and they're all great. On my first listen I gave it 3* but after a few more I've decided to increase it to 4*. The singer can't sing at all but he has a style that makes him unique and that makes his vocals fun to listen to. It wouldn't be the same without him. Each instrument is on point throughout each track too, you can hear them all distinctly but it all comes together in gorgeously heavy harmony.

     

    2018.01.24 - Gesu no Kiwami Otome. - Takakatte Shimauyo

    This gets a 4* just for the first track. The other two are just amazing bonuses. Is there a bad song by Gesu? Short answer: no. Not bothered about the remix track on this single though, it's really not needed.

    Went ahead and translated this addicting song by request from @platy. Although I work in translation I don't have much experience translating lyrics but I hope you guys enjoy.

     

    Just a couple of notes. For anyone that doesn't know, "ojamashimasu" doesn't really have a direct translation. It literally translates to "I'm going to be a nuisance/bother" and is usually used when entering someone's house in Japan to acknowledge that your host is allowing you to "intrude" (enter) their house. Although "ojamashimasu" is said multiple times throughout the song I tried to translate it in various ways that I personally believe conveys the meaning of their usage in the song better. The whole song is one big perverted metaphor for intruding on, or more specifically violating a girl.

     

    Note: "Chome" is one part of Japan's crazy address system and denotes districts of a town. The song basically travels through different districts (district 1, district 2 etc) which are also metaphorical. He's going to ojamashimasu every part of the girl.
