Hello!  I have been semi lurking for quite sometime, usually because you guys are ON IT with the news and updates. Finally decided to register for the full experience.  Over all my top favorites are Plastic Tree and Mucc, Nightmare, Lm.C and LSN.   Plastic Tree by far being my worst addiction, I have been following them about 10 years, I'm very fond of Shoegaze. 
 
I'm  from Washington State but lived in Chicago for a decade and was lucky enough to catch a few shows, outside of music I mostly spend my time following art, stupid cheesy horror movies and spend entirely too much time watching true crime documentaries and listening to podcasts.   Knit, and work on cultivating my reputation as a crazy old goth cat lady.

My name is Jim Harper. I'm in the UK right now but will be relocating to Japan later this year. I've been a fan of various visual kei bands for a while now. My 'gateway drug' was actually Zilch; I knew an English bass player who told me he'd recorded a great album with a fantastic Japanese guitarist and said I should check it out. I did, and I loved it, so I checked out hide's 'day job' and discovered I liked X-Japan too, and it all went from there. If I had to list a top ten VK bands, it would consist of (no particular order): X-Japan (plus hide solo and Zilch), Buck-Tick, D'erlanger, Dead End, The Gazette, D'espairsRay, Girugamesh, LM.C, Mucc and Vamps. I've been able to see six of them live, which has been a wonderful experience (just got X-Japan, Dead End, D'erlanger and The Gazette to go!). There's also a lot of Japanese goth/industrial etc that I love too. Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all and discovering some new music!

Hello,My name is DavidB.Rockin. I love Music and Anime. I've been listening Jrock and Visual Kei bands/music since I was in high school(10th or 11th). I've decided to listen to japanese bands and music that were or weren't featured in Anime back in high school. I've also been a fan of Classic Rock for many years and decided to look for bands similar to Led Zeppelin,so I decided to search for Japanese bands from the 60s,70s,80s,and 90s(mostly 80s and 90s)....my intro to Jrock and Visual Kei was anime theme songs,LUNA SEA,La'cryma Christi,and L'Arc~en~Ciel.....In my search results for similar bands to Led Zeppelin/classic rock,I found a few bands that are similar to american/uk bands. I'm a fan of the oldschool Visual Kei bands, I also love some Nagoya Kei bands.

I don't really listen to other Japanese bands, I didn't even know who ToshI was when sukekiyo collaborated with him, lol.
But I enjoy listening to MtH, lynch. and coldrain every now and then. The rest is boring and same-sounding.
And yes, I'm aware that DEG is somewhat like the poster-band of jrock, and I do hate the "aaahh kawaii kyo-sama tocchi-chaaaan" idiots as much as anyone.

I'm a Japanese/Taiwanese mix. I don't know any Mandarin but I'm perfectly fluent in Japanese so if you need translations then I can help. That being said I'm a lazy person so nothing more than a few sentences at a time. 
My favorite bands are Misanthropist, Delacroix, Far East Dizain, Morrigan, Vistlip etc...I also like a bunch of anime songs too!

I've been into VK for about 3 years and listen to just about everything. Lately my favorites reside in early 80s/90s  jrock/metal. 
I'm not too picky so feel free to chat old or new bands with me~

Hey! I don't think of this like an introduction, since I've been here since the forum was called Tainted World with Champ213 and a lot of other guys that I don't remember their names anymore lol. Anyway, I actually stopped listening to japanese music in general around 2009, since I started college and needed to expand my music universe. Last year I started reminiscing a lot of memories after I came across some old songs, so I started listening japanese bands again, and omg I missed it haha. I've been checking on the forum for the last year but didn't really had the time to participate in it but I think I can now.
 
My favourite bands are mostly from the 90's and mid 00's, and I think there has been a notorious change in music since 2007-08 that really turned me off, so now I mostly follow Kiryu, lynch., DEZERT and Uverworld, but I'm really open to try new things.
 
TL;DR: I have been here for a long time but left and now I'm returning to VK/Jrock, trying to recover the lost time and maybe contribute to the forum however I can.
 
Not that anyone cares about this but is nice to be back.

That doesn't look like it'll come sadly, their gt folie just up and disappeared on them resulting in him being fired and Yu-CHi just decided to also jump ship and open a V-Bar. The 3-Birthday's revival would more or less be Balalaika because these members (cept futaba) were The 3rd Birthday support.

This limited single will be sold at Village Vanguard on 2018.02.14. The theme of the single will be Saint Valentine. (1800 yen + taxes)

Hi! I've been lurking on the forums for a few months now so I finally thought it was time to make an account!
 
I'm from the U.S. but I've been living in Japan for a little over a year now (and I'm hoping to stay here for a long time tbh!)
I live in the Kansai area, so I go to mostly Osaka lives.
 
I didn't start listening to Vkei until I moved to Japan so I'm very much a newbie in terms of even knowing the names of bands. (other than of course the huge bands everyone knows) 
 
Right now I'm following Golden Bomber, Kiryuu, Sick2, and Tensai.
I like a lot of Jpop and Jrock music too like TMR, Daoko, Unison Square Garden, and Wanima.
 
I don't have a lot of friends who like to going concerts so feel free to contact me if you're ever in Osaka!! (I also do sometimes nightbus to Tokyo for lives)

Ugh, I don't know what to say. Last year they released one of the best VK albums of the year, and while they've really been phoning it in on the post-album singles, I had hope that they'd still be able to write really good albums. Oh well, this is making me not wanna listen to/buy the new single, and honestly, I'm ready to just ignore them/be a bitter bitch about them. Thanks for RUVISH, I guess.

My names Chell, big weeeb and Japanese music saves me every day so I've been in and out of vk all throughout my existence although I almost forgot it existed until a korean group - of which I am a fan and was the japanese translator for the fandom - recorded with a vk artist in 2016. Been to lives of amazing artists suchas TMR or AKFG and my playlist has everything from citypop to doujin artists to utattemita so summarily I am a newbie or really casual fan to vk but not to Japanese music and I am fighting against #vkhell rn. 
I am however a big fan of Nightmare and Miyavi since mid 2000s and I am a fan of plenty of poppy rock bands suchas LTS, the band apart, etc.  Lately been listening to vk so stuff like Amai Bouryoku, Royz, Purple Stone, Kiryuu, Gigamous etc. Please rec ty
