Kiyoharu is God

Kiyoharu has announced 2 new albums today. He has switched over to Columbia's TRIAD label.  The first new album is a RHYTHMLESS album called 『エレジー』 (ELEGY). It will be released on December 13th. Here's the jacket:

DISC 1 will feature the album. DISC 2 will apparently feature a poetry reading of each song. DISC 3 (a DVD) will feature live footage from 東京・Mt.RAINIERHALL SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASERE and the music video for LAW'S.

Kiyoharu brings an album set, consisting of 2 CDs and a DVD. Disc 1 contains his previous works (Kuroyume, sads, and solo) featuring new arrangements. The DVD contains his live performance at Mt.RAINIERHALL SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASERE shot by Akira Odagiri as well as a music video for "LAW'S."

The second album (of original material) will be released in February 2018. It will be called 『夜、カルメンの詩集』 (YORU, CARMEN NO SHISHUU). More details coming in later.
 
Kiyoharu will also hold an aniversary concert on 2.9.2018 called 「KIYOHARU 25 TIMES DEBUT DAY」 at 岐阜club-G.  A nationwide tour will also begin that month called 「KIYOHARU TOUR 天使の詩2018 『LYRIC IN SCARLET』」 and conclude 5月3日 at 東京・EX THEATER ROPPONGI.

On 2017.10.28, at their live event Far East Gathering vol. 2 with JILUKA, Leetspeek Monsters, sick., and grimoire, Far East Dizain will release a live-limited single entitled "thorns" for 800y. If there are supplies after the live, they'll be sold on their website and through mail order (so it seems).
 

Tribute album "Plastic Tree Tribute ~ Transparent Branches ~" will be released on September 6, with the 20th anniversary of Plastic Tree 's anniversary.

Man...  That tracklist is sorta... Eh. Like,  why is CLASSIC there? It just came out last year. It was soooorta okay? Not the most memorable MUCC song.  EMP was on the album from this year. There's nothing from the HOUYOKU album on here.  The black sheep album I guess? Nor 6? They could have pulled a lot better of GOKUSAI. How did someone not cover D-O-G. That would have been better than classic or gerbera.
 
Anyway, happy to see KISHIDAN involved... Even though I was hoping to see more from the other reveals. No heidi. or PLC?

They sent out a tweet earlier in the day linking to a webpage where you can vote (until Sunday) for one self-cover that will appear on the album.

I voted for KOMOREBI from HOUYOKU but I'm not holding my breath that song will win out... Probably a popular single track.
 
So yeah, I personally think it will come out in mid-late Nov/early December. Still haven't revealed the four extra bands/musicians nor the songs being covered by each band. I wonder if The Yellow Monkey would be up for it... I think Lovin at least would maybe do it.

Amazing vocal line-up! All he need was Baki (Gastunk) and Hyde to round out the all-star line-up.

KIYOHARU, Morrie, Kyo (Dir en grey/sukekiyo), TOSHI-LOW（BRAHMAN）、and Yoohei Kawakami （[Alexandros]） have been revealed as the other guest vocalists. It's also been revealed that TAKURO handled the lyrics for the song Yoohei Kawakami participated in.
 
So the line up is: RYUICHI(LUNA SEA)、Toshl(X JAPAN)、TERU(GLAY)、辻 仁成、K Dub Shine, KIYOHARU, Morrie, Kyo (Dir en grey/sukekiyo), TOSHI-LOW（BRAHMAN）、 and Yoohei Kawakami （[Alexandros]）.

So happy there are vocals on this release. Like the instrumental albums, but I was missing his singing. It will be nice to have others singing at least.

Thought he was going to work on a SADS album/mini/single given it's been ages since the last release, and because of restart of activities this year, but it looks like he's proceeding with a new solo album first.  Miyoken (M-Age/THE MORTAL) and yoshitsugu (Eins:Vier/alcana) are shown along with Hideyuki Ohashi. So that's three guitarists. No clue yet who he's gotten on drums and bass.

Like the sound of most of that. Really like the AIKAWA cover. Not surprised by the reactions tho... People have a difficult time understanding the concept of a cover album.
So he's singing like Ryutaro then...
