I"m really enjoying Franxx and I think people are being overly critical. Megalo box and Golden Kamui are top tier anime. Crazy we get two series this good in one season Really enjoying Caligula, but no one else seems to be liking it much. How are y'all liking new Steins Gate?????
  2. Sito Magus is really doing it for me. Are people hip to them?

  4. There are few things I feel better about than rinsing Kuroyume tracks over and over

I never thought I would love Kagrra, but I really love Kagrra.

Surprised to find Basic Channel here. Cheers!
  7. Slowly but surly coming around to Calmando Qual

      BrenGun

      Sadly disbanded in 2016.
However now we got SARRMATH. And I like SARRMATH much more than Calmando Qual.
Even if was maybe worlds international biggest Calmando Qual fan ever. (^_^)" (Which is still much respected by Hibiki, Tak and Kenka)

Also Kenka's current band is lovely!

I have indeed browsed your posts relating them. I will check SARRMATH for sure!

When i got a hold of them, it was right after I discovered Velvet Eden and Pride of Mind. I checked them because I was looking for more electronic vkei, but they were way more industrial and heavy than I  was looking for at the time. Out of that context I'm really appreciating them.

In their early years with Tasc kinda until 2009 they where much more industrial rock. When they signed up to Starwave they went more to "normal rock sound" without much industrial sound.

When they decided to disband they actually went more back to their orgin sound.

I always missed somehow Kenka on stage after he left the band in 2013. Because the way of playing bass on stage you only see that way rarely.

Till is a nice bassist but his performance is like watching a BAG of potatoes. o.o

      All members are doing fine.
Tak: supports a bunch of bands. Rosemadder is his main band now.

Maya:  supports also a band, but I'm not sure if he recovered fully from a sickness. But he is alive.

SIO, (ex-drummer) nobody knows what he is doing.

Kenka; he plays in スネメガマフィー (Sunamegamafy)  and he looks better as before. He totally cut of his hair and looks like Ken Watanabe now. :D But still as known, he drinks a lot of beer everyday.  But he plays his bass with perfection. (a while before a gig he doesn't drink)

Hibiki, SARRMATH and THE HIGH GRIP

Kiri (support drummer for about 2 years) she plays in silent... and some other bands.

  9. im the SWEET LEMON BROKER

  10. Reiko

Ive watched a live stream of them after a concert and Kaoru and Die were drinking beers with Boo and chilling. I'm sure its pretty professional, but all of those tours ... they have to be a lot closer than they probably like to admit.
  11. Reiko

IMF was my first exposure as well. I had definitely been into anime openings, but I saw a cut of L'arc doing Driver's High at the 15th Anniversary concert and the video for MUCC -Libra. After that, I started getting random stuff off of kazaa. It took me a few years to really get deep, but the first band I went really hard on was Diru. Malice too, but not like Diru. One really funny thing is that I saw Diru in 2006 at the Family Values Tour in Cleveland. I had never heard them before that, but my friends had, and they bought a CD there. They liked the cd (Marrow of a Bone), but they never got into Japanese rock beyond that. Little did I know that getting into them would send me down this rabbit-hole.
  12. GULLET is the best thing Ryo has done besides 9GOATS

  13. Reiko

Malice Mizer - Au Revoir Dir en Grey - Jessica Luna Sea - Rosier, True Blue L'arc en Ciel - Honey

I should indeed cross examine. I had the file, just had a location problem with my player. I think I have everything unless something else fell through. @SaishuMy bad!
  15. Reiko

I'm well aware that its an older song.

This is peak internet for me
  17. Reiko

By some bizarre accident, I've never had Aoi Tsuki in my library until recently. Missa is like my favorite thing by them, and to have a new song from that era is like heaven.

    Lately ...
  19. Reiko

    Thanks for this!
  20. Thank you so much for posting this. Learning guitar, and I've been trying to put my finger on these concepts since I started listening to Japanese music.
  21. Reiko

    Really, really good!
  22. Reiko

That rip-off was definitely tongue-in-cheek though. I like Pride of Mind. They have a couple great songs, but they aren't amazing. This is one of the best Vkei songs ever
  23. Reiko

I would try getting into Shazna and Baiser.
  24. Reiko

This one is really obvious. There's gotta be a lot of these between Kuroyume and Dir en Grey. maybe that's why Diru doesn't do anything to bands like Grieva.
  25. Reiko

Dir en Grey - Jessica Malice Mizer - Au Revoir Gackt - Mizerable L'arc en Ciel - Blurry Eyes Mucc - Komorebi I started with these bands on napster (or maybe kazaa). Maybe 7th grade. I have way more for each band that i still listen to from this period of my life, but decided to just put the number one instead. Looking at it now, it's obvious to me that these tracks especially have really shaped what I look for in other stuff.
