      Doesn't matter, getchur ass in there! No seriously, it's a good way to expose yourself to different tastes, and possibly hear some new things you might like. It doesn't matter what kind of music you're into. We all have different tastes, and that's what makes the exchanges interesting! It's fun!

      the exposure part is why i'm interested. the tastes of the other MH members are so diverse and interesting... ;__;

      yet mine isn't, so i don't want to make it unfair for my partner.

      but... hell, the trade off does sound fun. i LIVE for nostalgia and the feels

      hm...Well, look at it like this way...Everyone's tastes are kinda perfect as is. I think too many variables go into determining a person's music taste for there to be some objective bar on what constitutes it as "interesting" and what doesn't. (I'd even go as far as to say whether a person's music taste is "interesting" or not is inconsequential and entirely subjective). I also think the fact that there are countless variables that define music taste is interesting on its own, because that means each person's individual experience with music is unique and unquantifiable. So no matter how "diverse" or "centered" a person's music taste may be, when you interface with someone else's taste, there's always something new to take away from that exchange. You might learn more about yourself and what you like/dislike, while at the same time getting insight into another person's perspective on music. So it doesn't matter how long you've been into VK, or how many different bands you listen to, your perspective on music is very uniquely yours. The trade-off is all about sharing your own perspective, while exploring the perspectives of others at the same time. It's beautiful! ; )
