platy got a reaction from Nyasagi in Your opinion on "no pictures" policy on overseas lives
I think it's a great rule to have. There's nothing worse than going to a gig where hundreds of people in front of you have their phone out, recording, taking pictures, some even on facebook. The band came all the way to your country and all you care about is looking at your phone? That's what I always think about people who have it out for the whole hour and a half. Youre recording all these videos you probably won't watch ever again, let's be honest.
One time when I went to see Miyavi, this douchelord kept filming his girlfriend for most of the gig, she was dancing to the songs and they were making people open space so he could film her. I'm sorry but... that's ridiculous. When I went to see this other band, this girl was on facebook and instagram the whole time posting about it, instead of enjoying it. Call me a hippie, but events become a lot more enjoyable without a cellphone or whatever , since some people just don't have any knowledge of common courtesy. Whether you accept it or not, when someone has their phone out it's so hard to not keep glancing at the screen because our eyes are naturally attracted to it. If a band asks for no pictures, it's not gonna kill me as much as I want proof that I saw them ,etc. It's not that hard to just accept it. I don't have a god complex towards bands, but I'm very thankful that they managed to come to my country and perform.
Also, another reason I'm against it is because I'm 1.52m in height and it's already a struggle to see the stage in normal conditions, but when there's someone that's nearly 2m high in front of me and they block the only small square of vision I have with an ipad, then I can't see a thing.
Of course, that's my problem.

Culture or not, it's their show, at least try to respect something the band asks you to.

platy reacted to Euthanasia in Your opinion on "no pictures" policy on overseas lives
I don't know, but if a band ask me to not take any photos I usually respect them enough to not to take any pictures? It's like that with everything.. If someones ask not to, why do it? I would've understand if they didn't say anything and then got upset that people were taking photos but if they actually ask not to.. Then I don't see the problem. I don't think they try to enforce anything... And well, I'd like to be kind to the bands I like, especially if they do a oversea tour since everyone can't go to Japan and see them. And if the band suddenly decides to stop touring because fans can't listen or respect them - then you've destroyed for other fans. Maybe your actions doesn't effect you as much and maybe you think that the band are idiots for being so sensitive, but it effects other fans and I don't see why that would be worth it.
And not doing favors by doing live shows? I think it depends who you ask, for some music is very ver very very important and I, personally feel happy when I've the chance to see my favorite band and I am always thankful if the band decides to come to my country /or in this case near my country. If they want to play the music I like, then I can respect them enough not to force a camera up their faces and take unflattering pictures and spreading them online to laugh at - like some people do.

It's not just Japanese bands, some western artists have this policy and I LOVE it.
When I saw Danzig last year, it was a strict policy of no cell phones or cameras whatsoever. Anyone who took their phone out of their pocket to text, browse, sneak a photo, etc, was thrown out of the gig without a refund. It was stated on the ticket, but after a few morons tried to sneak shots, anyone who didn't get the idea already got it.
It gave the gig a COMPLETELY different feel and I enjoyed it. It added so much to the show; when the lights would cut out, when the spotlight would hit one band member, etc, there were no cell phones on all over the gig lighting it up and making you notice stuff going on elsewhere.
I hope all major bands eventually adopt this practice.

platy reacted to Saishu in sukekiyo first single『ANIMA』April 2016 release
Man, and you know what? I watched the Persuasio Blu-ray last night and Sukekiyo is SUCH a tight band. Even when Kyo's voice occasionally falters during all his vocal acrobatics, the guys behind him are just super tight and on point, and that's really not something I could say for Dir en grey. The key here is Yuuchi and Mika; those dudes are LOCKED into that groove and they're both superb musicians. Mika is probably one of my top 10 favorite drummers ever.
So that also plays into my frustrations with properly obtaining Sukekiyo material. I want it all in the best quality possible while simultaneously supporting these guys, but I also understand Kyo isn't particularly interested in worldwide recognition. At least not anymore.
Oh well.

The title track turned out to be the nicest one in the new single, DE:show was okay overall and 嘘と愚行-それもまた人間らしいって神様は笑ってるの- had the best start and then... what the fuck Tzk? Instrumental side was pretty fun, but these pig growls will take a while to grow on me.

Oyuugi Wagamama Paradeis are long dead but I will forever hate them and they will forever be number 1 on my 'worse oshare bands ever'. The fanbase was disgusting, I've never seen so many people drooling over a stupid looking dude with a voice like the ghosts in purgatory , this dude had the worse fashion style i've seen in oshare and acted like a 5 year old. Not to mention their drummer looked dead in every PV. Rest in fucking peace, you terrible band. Ya'll should be ashamed.
Versailles are boring.
GOTCHAROCKA makes me sad. Jui left Vidoll to make one of the most bland music i've heard. (the last couple years of vidoll were awful, but still. what a waste)
The gazette piss me off. There was a time i thought Reita was the coolest man alive but now i wanna rip off his stupid nose band thing and jump on it ten times.
CindyKate are right up there with Aicle in terms of oshare goodness. It's sad no one seems to remember this oshare group called Kansai Hentai Kei Comic Visual band HEAR (関西変態系お笑いヴィジュアルバンドHEAR ) .these guys had a female vocalist and made fantastic music. But nah, let's just focus on Smileberry. ''Amai amai chokoretto'
The guittarist with ponytails from MORRIGAN is such an embarassement. So is the singer. go away please.
GACKT. No.

Arche is the best DEG album imo, followed by DSS. The atmosphere of Arche as a whole, it's painful but every song is so beautifuly melodic, that makes it the top album for me. I know it's a lot more mellow compared to the other releases of the band, but I don't get why people seem to hate it so much. It's like the band went in a different direction while keeping their essence, I really appreciate that.

Immortalis blew me away, my favorites being the songs written by Uta, whereas Vitium had me like "???". It was just too calm and lacked something, still not a bad album, just nowhere near as good as Immortalis.
Someone uploaded their recent show at Chofu City Green Hall and it's amazing. No dvd footage does these guys justice though, saw them live in 2014 and it's like stepping into some really dark acid trip.

I just hate most VK fans. The way they treat their favorite bands as infallible gods disturbs me. They can't be objective about anything; everything a band does is perfect. And don't dare express any criticism unless you want to be scolded like you're a 5 year old.
"If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything and don't listen to the band then waaaahhh!"

Mind blown!! Enjoyed this album way more! Those instrumentals were brutally awesome!! The songs while not as catchy as the first album are more cohesive. I like this more serious direction for them. I think if they tried to stick with the catchy, cuteness of the first album, they wouldn't have done as well. These songs prove they aren't just a novelty one off act. They actually have some staying power!

‘Screw’
The sky is dyed orange with the first rays of sunlight, and yet still I can’t sleep
There’s no love in that empty space beside me
Whenever I try to fasten the loose screw I end up drowning in the night
Dawn has come again, but it’s too bright so I close my eyes
My regret for the past will not disappear
I can’t fill that hole you left me with
Even now I can’t forget you
Standing before you, I couldn’t tell you how much I love you
So I just hung my head in shame
I don’t want to accept that it’s over
But you gave me your answer when you showed me your back
That ‘sorry’ you left me with remains vivid even now
Tonight again I’m alone and can’t sleep
I can’t forget you
Rain pours against the window, adorned by a lone flower
I can’t forget that day
Even now…

platy got a reaction from eiheartx in BABYMETAL new album 「METAL RESISTANCE」 2016.04.01 release
This album is fantastic, I can't skip any of the songs. Whereas the first album was more cutesy and happy, this album is a lot more mature and even the 'cuter' songs (usually sung by the youngest girls) are more serious but they still keep the ''catchy-ness'' their previous songs have. I wouldn't say the previous album was 'crazier' but it was more 'gimmicky' , the songs were more cute than anything else.
They've really showed off Su Metal's voice in this album, she's so skilled and has improved a lot from the first album. I hope she has a bright future if BABYMETAL ever decide to end. The instrumental in Tales of Destinies are great (and just overall, I'm enjoying the band more in this album)
Favorite songs
From Dusk Till Dawn (gives me chills)
META! Meta Taro
Tales of Destinies
KARATE
Sis. Anger
The English version of The One isn't bad, I was expecting very muddled engrish but they kept the beauty of the song pretty much intact. I enjoyed both the english ver and japanese ver. equally.
I'm really hoping they will do a double-tour this year like they did last time, MR is just gonna sound so good live and I couldn't get tickets for their europe tour this time.

Not cool, Kyo. You may not agree with thom35's opinion, but that doesn't make it irrelevant. There's absolutely no reason to be rude, so let's chill out a bit.
