Euthanasia reacted to Suuu in Deviloof ‏new distributed single "Ishtar" release
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who is supporting Deviloof!
At the end of the day, when I decided to start helping Deviloof I was very much aware that they are band that will have people that love them, people that hate them and a smaller majority of people who don’t feel strongly either way about them, more so than any other band V STAR PROMOTION’s works with.
The reason V STAR PROMOTION decided to work with Deviloof is to broaden our market, our goal is to have something to offer to as many people with varying tastes in music.
And the fact that people have varying and different tastes in music is what this discussion leads to.
Everybody has their own taste in music, what one person might think sounds terrible could be a masterpiece to other people, it doesn’t mean that either person is wrong, it also doesn’t mean that the song in question is innately good or bad, it all comes down to personal opinion.
This is also the case in defining a music style, music is a vast and ever changing entity.
Music never stays the same for long as artists and fans are always thinking of a way to change and develop it further, by this genres of music are also constantly changing and developing.
So any genre of music can also be thought of differently by different people, what might be brutal to someone might not just cut it to other, and on the reverse side what might be brutal to some might be too much for others.
And there is nothing at all wrong with that.
Working with Deviloof, I have faith that they will continue to work hard to grow as artists and that they will try their best to bring new and unique music.
It is not always going to appeal to everyone, but that’s music.
If you like Deviloof, once again I would like to thank you for your support.
If you don’t like Deviloof I value and understand your opinion, but please understand that the people that like them have their reasons and right to do so as well.
    The same goes in reverse.
    Thank you.

There is essentially nothing wrong with a negative opinion or criticism, but it is about the way it is being brought over. It is useless for bands and musicians (and also the people who are doing the criticizing) to turn it into a competition of who can write up the edgiest comment in return for forum reputation, because half of the negative comments bear no substantial content within them and are just there for a gain of popularity between forum members. It doesn't help a band improve, if you know what I mean.
Since the beginning, Sadie borrowed this sound from Dir en grey. They even started out as a Dir en grey coverband. The idea is that people have known for years, and all they do is continue to beat the dead horse because the issue should have long been buried by those that are disappointed. Why constantly bring it up? Is it to torture yourself or to torture the people who continue to enjoy the concept?
It will also turn out like this for Grieva. They implement a lot of Dir en grey's former ideas in their music – and they will be criticized for it for the duration of their career. But the point is; we know. We do not need that validation from people who do not even care in the slightest with every release they churn out because it has been addressed a million times over already. That is what tires fans.

hi !! i'm really lame. you can call me itsu, itsuko, or itsukoii, i don't care.

somehow i stumbled across this forum. decided to lurk for a bit before deciding to join.

i'm actually quite new to the whole VK scene. i only came across it in December of 2015 but have loved it ever since.

the first band i found was Mejibray, and they hold a very special place in my heart. i then came across more bands, such as Nocturnal Bloodlust, Jiluka, -OZ-, Dio ~Distraught Overlord~, Deviloof, UnsraW, DEATHGAZE, Sadie, D.I.D., Gossip, Lycaon, Dir en Grey, By:ARLANT, Delacroix, girugamesh... some others as well.

yet i'm still looking for more! i really like the heavier side of VK, especially screams and screeches and heavy instrumentals. i'd really love more band recommendations if anybody has them !!

uh yeah that's all. i hope to learn a lot of new things here!

Euthanasia got a reaction from Undead burger in MH FEATURED POLL #40: What are the things you HATE about Visual Kei?
That some fans seems to expect that a band should sound 100% perfection on their first release. It's ok to have high standards, but sometimes it is just as needed to wait a little and see how the band evolves, and see if the music is getting better. Same goes with some singers, there's a lot of singers who've sounded bad in the beginning but have turned around and sounds much better now. James Hetfield in Metallica (not VK but still), for an example.

And I've also some issues with older VK fans (like myself lol) who treat new VK fans as crap for no reason at all. I mean, we've all been there in the beginning. And the VK genre itself is quite small and it need to grow and in order to do that new fans is needed.

I saw this topic and thought of one visual kei band immediately and that would be Viored.
I'm not out to write a biography but from what I can remember, Viored were a visual kei band active around the mid to late 00's. They sported a typical hard rock sound with some metal influences but what really caught my attention was the vocalist and the guitar work. The polyphony in their compositions was something that was really lacking in the scene and was a nice touch, as they were most active during the "metalcore-phase" where bands like GHOSE and VAJRA ran rampant. Their vocalist Kei was an interesting fellow: he had a high pitched vocalist I would liken to NoGoD's Danchou - although much less refined - and their sound could be described as "hard rock lifting inspiration from white kei while channeling metalcore on B-sides to lure tsunagari to the merchandise bench". Some good stuff, some okay stuff, and some songs I haven't listened to once so you can say they were all over the place.
They weren't the most active but they were persistent and consistent, releasing many singles. They grew pretty fast and were a popular band both in Japan and internationally, which is something that rarely happens but signals good things for a band! Unfortunately the band fell apart when the vocalist's girlfriend convinced him to leave visual kei and "get a real job" and Kei went AWOL before informing the band that he was done. Viored pulled the whole "we can't continue without him" schtick and disbanded after releasing a best-of.
The Beautiful Dead Song gets stuck in my head every time I think of them so I linked it below.

Wow.. I really wish that some people would stop try to speak for the whole mejibray fandom. Just because you don't like the song/look/whatever doesn't mean that the band "need a hiatus.". It's a matter of taste, after all. I know quite many who still likes what mejibray does, and I don't think that your opinion are superior to theirs.

Anyway - I liked the new song, and the look is as crazy as mejibray looks usually are so no big surprise there.

    Tell em

People complaining about a mess like VK isnt messy, let alone mejibray, being wild is a part of what makes them interesting. My only problem is whoever keeps editing the growls that they are muddy and losing their punch.  And omg yessss pigsqueal for me. Tsu a pimp with vocals
