i think im just a lost cause at this point lmao i was in so many fucked relationships through my teenage and young adult years i just have 0 interest nowadays going through all that again, but at the same time it would be nice for a healthy relationship to work out

I want to say i agree with this.... but honestly looking back.. it was me. I was the problem. I was really closed off and I was too scared to ever let anyone get really close so in the end (90% of the time) I broke up with them because I felt like they'd break up with me. I don't know that I'm meant for relationships.... but i've finally gotten over that 'I'm sad and I need someone being single sucks' hill. If I am meant to be with someone it will happen whether i choose it or not... So I might as well focus on my mental health first to be ready for when i meet that person.

  2. I went to some college for general education for like... a semester. I had never really decided on a major. I dropped out anyway. So I started going to cosmetology school, dropped out of that too. I've just been working since and building my way up the managerial ladder. But I have always had a longing to go to school again. But I don't think I will because of the cost vs pay back. I just really like learning new things.

So I'm majoring in : adulting

    Currently working on my Masters.

  3. I think this really depends on the family and upbringings though. No one family is the same. For me... absolutely blood is thicker. I think it's more common for 'friends' to make broken promises and come and go as they please. My family and i may have had some hard times, but I love them and I would do anything for them and vice versa. That's the thing for me... My family are also my friends. Community and togetherness is important for me, and I have yet to find the same support or community outside of my family.

On the other hand, I know plenty of people who are not as fortunate to have such a tight knit family or a family that believes in strong support morals. So it's really subjective.

  4. Since I have been away a lot of people have joined this club. I apologize for having left it inactive. I'm going to be picking up studying again soon and will most likely beginning updating to help everyone get involved again. Before I do so... is there any volunteers to help with content etc. I am only one person and I am not exactly fluent, but I would like to help everyone as much as possible.

I've been going to XAA-XAA regularly for a couple of years and I, too, thought they were going to disband. Last year after Roji  left they reached rock bottom. Their live attendance was pitiful for a good 6-7 months, but they've got their fire back despite An being a terrible drummer. Theyve gained a lot of new fans recently and some of the fans who stopped going started coming again.

I also think Kazuki is too stubborn to let the band break up so I don't think theyll disband soon.

As for DIMLIM, their taiban attendance is still pretty low but they have plenty of people at onemans. They're doing better now than they were last year.

I'm glad to hear that Xaax is doing better. I was supposed to see them while I was in Japan but i think they were unable to make the show because of a car accident or something so my friend and I just didn't go.

I really like DIMLIM, while the vocalist and some guitar work resemble Dir en grey vibes... they still have their own thing going on for the most part.

They do deliver too little, however, I've seen them live like 3 times (at events) and they not only drive the crowd insane with crazy moshing and stuff but also most fans seemed to be a tad older than the average VK gya. Some have probably been following Tenten since who knows when.

They also seem to have an interesting amount of male fans.

huh That's interesting to hear about the male fans because Chemical Pictures and My Bacteria Heat IsLand also had a decent male following. It's gotta be a tenten thing. I'm not surprised... all the members are from that 2003/2004 hype wave of bands except for drummer boy. I think even if they disband Tenten will ALWAYS resurface.

  7. I feel like Mamireta will be short lived as well. One hit underwear sniffing, tabemasu-ing, break-dancing wonder.

    In before LACK-CO disbands.

I also feel like XaaXaa will disband or take an indefinite hiatus soon. I hear they haven't been the greatest since their previous drummer left and the new one is always messing up songs.

    Surprised Kiryu is still going.

DIMLIM Probably, though I wish and hope they don't because I like them.

I don't think LM.C would exactly disband, maybe take an actually break and return.

Ryuuta has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme/severe abdominal pain. Last update was via the website and twitter about 19 hours ago.

They have yet to cancel lives from my understanding, and have not announced what the cause or treatments are. The site mentions discussion amongst the staff and members as to what their move will be but they are not making any announcements until they hear from the hospital.

Wishing that angel a quick recovery.

  9. I do believe it was Dir en grey > the GazettE > MUCC at one point.

Sales wise... I mean what to they include just music? Lives? I mean...

Now I really do feel that it is

the GazettE > Dir en grey > MUCC

There were more people at that GazettE show in LA than I remember for Dir en grey at the same venue during their peak.

Maybe they still dominate in japan but overseas... the GazettE is def #1

  10. I've gone through different phases of musical interests. Before I discovered Visual Kei, I really listened to whatever I thought sounded good, but outside of 80's classic rock and pop I didn't really care for artist names and checking out full albums. However, Once I discovered visual kei it was a whole new realm and I spent nearly 5-6 years listening solely to that alone. I wouldn't even give anything outside of the subculture a second thought. Looking back now, I felt it was very immature and restricted on my part. As I got older I started to listen to other types of Japanese music and strayed away from visual kei. I still listened to bands here and there but I really feel that was the peak of my musical diverse interest. At that point I would give things a good listen through, even to the point of trying a few different albums by an artist to be sure I wasn't missing out on something great. Then I went through the metal/alternative phase where I listened exclusively to that both Japanese and English bands.

All of that leading to now.... I have a lot of responsibilities and other things I'm going after in life so it's hard to really sit down and listen actively to new things everyday. I really have to be in the right mood and I'm more picky now because of my time restrictions. If I am in the mood to really find something new, I'll even skim through albums and if i don't like the general idea of the first 3 ish songs I'll move to the next artist. That doesn't mean I won't revisit. This is the most common thing for my musical discoveries. I'll listen to something briefly, decide I'm not digging it, forget about it and come across it again later with a different mindset. I don't believe that any music is bad, that's why even the smallest groups have a little following. I think it's all about timing and your mindset when listening to something new. Had I not discovered Visual Kei, I may not even be in to Japanese music for all I know and I may have a different process completely when discovering new artists. Sometimes I search for things and sometimes i hear things by chance of being in the right place at the right time and it so happens to catch my interest.
