In regards to being able to rent like.. rooms/apartments/houses in other countries(cause hotels can get pricey), a family friend mentioned www.airbnb.com. It's pretty neat! I just looked up January 1st-31st 2016 for two guests in Tokyo for shits and giggles and they've got what looks to be a wide variety of options from essentially sharing a room with your host for around $900 usd a month to a mega swank luxury apartment for $40,000+ USD a month. All manners of places too, I even found a neat little traditional place for three guests with tatami, futons etc near the Tsukiji market for $1453 USD a month. Many of the places offer some pretty nice amenities as well, such as washer/dryer, bicycles you can use, wifi, toiletries etc. The website has hosts in 190 countries I believe? So where ever you decide to travel to you can always check it for rooms/apartments/homes to rent, save some money and possibly make new friends along the way! c: We need to set up like.. an MH couch surfing group or something.
  2. Thanks for the vids, jduv! I am officially hyped for this now.

I've been doing a bit better with my eating habits the last week or so. I've drastically cut back on the amount of soda I drink, trying to substitute water or tea in it's place. I still occasionally eat junk but I'm doing a hell of a lot better with my portion control. Where I used to sit and eat an entire bag of mini reeses I've been allowing myself to eat two and then put the bag away for the rest of the day. I believe a serving size on a pizza is usually 2 slices? For me it was at minimum half of the pizza, sometimes the entire pizza. So I'm definitely trying to cut back to 3 slices at most and putting the rest in containers for more meals. Been trying to take healthier lunches with me to work but it's not easy to have healthy/better-for-me meals, 30 minutes isn't much time to eat when you're notoriously slow at eating. u__u But I am trying my best! Got a nice spring mix salad w/ cucumber and tomatoes made for my work meal today, with sides of green olives and a pink lady apple. Will probably take a bit of sharp cheddar and sliced deli-style turkey with me as well for some protein. I haven't started exercising yet since I'm only through week one of school and haven't felt I've really settled into a routine yet to make time for daily walks. Soon tho!
  4. My first thought was "I hope this isn't another thing with Aggy in it..." and then I saw it was Leda and Sujk and I just. (◉ ‿ ◉ ✿) I need to check out the vocalist's band(s) before I can get really hype tho.

It's literally exactly the same as VANDALISM with like some extra track, which isn't even a new song anyway. Most pointless release of the year award goes to my faves.

I am so excited for this thread. I hope we can all succeed in our goals! ;u; I'm currently 161-164lbs depending on the day at 5'8" tall. I'd really like to lose the extra squish around my stomach, ass and thighs. My goal weight is in the 125-135lb area. I'm on some medication that makes me gain weight and I have really bad food habits. I've had a few times over the last year where I was really good about eating better(in terms of smaller portion sizes and trying to cut back on calories and soda) and running and/or walking every day but I'd inevitably lose motivation and quit. I'm going to try to find time to go for a walk or run at least 3 times a week as soon as I shake this horrible cold I got from work and settle into a new work/school schedule. Would really like to get a membership at the YMCA that's close to my house since it has a pool but it's kind of expensive compared to some gyms in town. u__u I've used myfitnesspal in the past and I'd start off really good with it but would eventually stop keeping track of things after about a week. Currently use MapMyRun when I go for walks/runs to keep track of distance and time and have a cheap-o HRM(that doesn't sync up to anything because it's a 20 dollar piece of shit). I'm currently waiting to have some extra money so I can purchase an activity tracker. Debating on if I want the fitbit charge or charge HR, haven't seen any reviews on how accurate the HRM is on the charge HR yet. Definitely gonna check out fitocracy in the next week or so! Anyone have any suggestions for super easy quick meal plans for someone who is about to have next to no time to prepare things three days a week that doesn't involve eating leftovers of the same thing more than twice a week?

I might be a bit late to the plug session today. Going out to lunch with my parents then we're stopping at walmart to get a few things. I WILL NOT MISS IT THO SO DON'T WORRY IF I DON'T SHOW UP ON TIME. <3

  13. This section is for songs that I really enjoyed this year, whether I listened to the full albums(and didn't like the entire thing enough to put up top) or not. You get five videos and the rest are mp3 samples because I am inept and can't figure out the HTML to get past the five video limit. ENJOY. I am a huge fan of RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul in general. Mama Ru's song Sissy That Walk took a few listens to grow on me but now it's my pick-me-up song when I need to feel like I am invincible and can throat punch anyone who gets in my way. Forever mad that Miss Lake is in there instead of DeLa but alas, I was not a judge. Please enjoy Bianca being fabulous, Courtney making weird faces and Adore being... Adore-able. Pfft. This song comes on the radio almost every day as I'm driving to work and I really love it. Like crank up the volume and make everyone else on the road listen to it kind of love. So one day I was finally like "Hey, I should go see the music video for this song!" MISTAKE MISTAKE RUN AWAY WHY DID I DO IT. I really want to know what Adam was thinking when he decided "Hey yo so I think it would be a great idea for me to stalk someone while essentially dry humping a slab of raw beef and sensually smearing blood all over myself. PERFECT, RIGHT????" I was so beyond excited when ender told me that JOL and Shiki were the first NAINE members to resurface in a new band. The band name gave me pause, like where would you even come up with something like that, you know? But this song pretty much hooked me from the start. It's the perfect mixture of everything I love in music and it's executed so well. My only issue is I would really appreciate it if bands, and people in general tbh, would stop putting fish in tiny jars. It is bad for them and will kill them. PLEASE THINK OF THE LITTLE FISHIES. The Korean group that's taking 2NE1's place in my heart as #1. I haven't had a chance to listen to the full album this track is on but if it's anything like their previous releases I'm sure it's fantastic too. | | | In This Moment - Dirty Pretty It was too difficult to pick between Sick Like Me and Dirty Pretty so have both of them cause they're both fantastic. I love them more each time I listen. MUCC - ENDER ENDER -Album Edit- So I'm still not on the MUCC train despite the fact that ender has been trying for years to convert me. I tend to have a few songs I like on each release so unless they decide to put all the songs I like onto one album, I don't think they'll ever end up fully on my best of list. I'm trying, I swear. This song is super fantastic though. Lacuna Coil - Die and Rise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFttR7bvogo I just really enjoy this song. Didn't add the video because it's just lyrics and I didn't have the mp3 for a sample bar. Sorry guys.
  14. Working retail at Christmas makes me want to play in traffic.

  15. Just gonna confess upfront that the title of this thread is legit and I literally have no clue what on earth I am doing here in this list. I am horrible at explaining why I like things beyond "THIS IS GREAT YOU SHOULD LISTEN" so if you can get through all of my nonsense and come out of it with some new tunes to jam to, awesome. If not, please don't mind me. c: I swear next year I'll have a better looking list with better blurbs. ;; Bless Cat and Zeus for putting up with all of my stupid questions as I worked on this. They da real MVPs. Fave tracks samples are in order as listed above mp3 bars. NAINE - THE WALL and NEW ANSWER IS NEW ENDING Fave tracks: THE WALL; NIGHTMARE; BEAUTIFUL CRIME Schwarz Stein - GEBET, COCOON -Fallen- and Sleeping Madness Fave tracks: Rise to Heaven -2014-; COCOON -Fallen-; Lilith Favorite Weapon - Sixty Saragossa Fave tracks: Hollow; Let's Shake On It The Amity Affliction - Let The Ocean Take Me Fave tracks: Pittsburgh; Don't Lean On Me 和楽器バンド - ボカロ三昧 Fave tracks: セツナトリップ; いろは唄; 脳漿炸裂ガール 倖田來未 - Bon Voyage Fave tracks: SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA; Dreaming Now! 浜崎あゆみ - Colours Fave tracks: Terminal; Merry-go-round; Lelio HORA - DESOLATION BEAUTY Fave tracks: DESOLATION BEAUTY; MOONRISE; CARPE DIEM MU - Discovery of the AVALON Fave tracks: 神世界; 幸せの代償 Black Gene For The Next Scene - 廃憶のdanceパレード Fave tracks: Light is there; 空から零れ落ちる100億の光 exist†trace - WORLD MAKER Fave tracks: Imagination; スパイラル大作戦; 長い夢の終わりに

My sister gets this all the time. She even dresses in male attire so it's easy to mistake her gender, from far away and when she's not talking. She's just sarcastic to everyone who thinks she a boy. When that kid grows up, his mum'll remind him of this, I'm sure. Kids can be silly and will learn what should/shouldn't be said.

I was so excited for Dir en grey’s release of ARCHE that it physically hurt me. After the disasters that were DUM SPIRO SPERO and Sustain the untruth my iTunes library was in dire need of something worth listening to. I was hoping ARCHE would satiate that need. My first listen through was fantastic. I was so crazy over it I couldn’t say a thing about it that wasn’t in all caps telling my limited number of uninterested Facebook friends about how they were missing out on a fantastic album. Then I listened to it again and the hype was gone. It wasn’t even a slow burn out; it was like everything I had imagined the album to be after the first listen came crashing down like a house of cards soaked in gasoline and lit on fire. As I replayed the album I kept asking myself what happened. I found I had to force myself to make it even halfway through many of the tracks. I loved “Un deux” but I don’t feel like it’s placement at the start was the best decision. “咀嚼” was listenable but it would have sounded better without the Cookie Monster feature. In fact, the entire album could have done without it. I was not aware he was a member of Dir en grey so color me surprised at his frequent inclusion on this album. I enjoyed “Phenomenon” and the almost “Disabled Complexes” groove it had to it, especially in the beginning. “Cause of fickleness” is probably the worst excuse for a song that Dir en grey has ever released. The fact that the band put some fairly decent music on this album and then thought it would be a great idea to include it almost angers me. I would have been content if it had transitioned directly from “Phenomenon” into “濤声” which is a mellow easy-to-listen-to song that made me think of the unplugged version of “艶かしき安息、躊躇いに微笑み.” I can’t say “輪郭” is a favorite of mine but compared to a large chunk of ARCHE it is a quality song worth listening to. “Chain Repulsion” was enjoyable except for the weird distortion on the guitars near the middle that hurt my ears. The rest of the main album was more or less a blur of nope. Either it wasn’t memorable or it was just flat out horrible. I pretend “Sustain the untruth” doesn’t exist. “The Inferno” is nothing more than leftover trash from DSS and I can’t say “Revelation of Mankind” was much different. Going into the bonus disc, I sincerely believe “and Zero” should have been the album opening track. The word ‘gorgeous’ doesn’t even properly express what I think of it. I could listen to it on loop for days and never grow tired of it. “てふてふ” was another highlight overall. It gave me a lot of Withering to death./Marrow of a Bone feels. It boggles the mind why these two tracks weren't put on the main album instead of the rather replaceable tracks that somehow made the cut. The remix, acoustic and crossover tracks were not even worth the effort it took to make myself listen to them. I would even go so far as to say they weren’t even worth releasing to the public. All in all, this album was disjointed and not deserving of any of the hype it received. Songs that should have been on it were reduced to bonus disc material. Song placement was thrown out the window. Most of the songs are lackluster and uninspired and it has me worried that maybe this brilliant band has run out of worthwhile creations to offer to the masses. The few good songs were not enough to keep me interested. Add this to the list of yet another painful miss in the collection.

I hope they leave Madness off the album. Or re-work it to make it not suck. Either option is good.

THE"420"THEATRICAL ROSES is the first thing by Mejibray that I have listened to that wasn't their cover of Dir en grey's "Cage." I figured that if their cover of Cage was so good, this album would be pretty good too. I was sincerely hoping I'd love the hell out of 420. Sad to say I was disappointed instead. The amount of Dir en fanboyism in pretty much every track was a letdown for me as I was hoping for something that would set Mejibray as its own entity in my mind instead of "that band that covered Cage." I got the feeling of a band that was still trying to find their footing but couldn't quite get the traction they were looking for. My experience with 420 was a game of "do not push the next button, you need to listen to all of it." Each song seemed to bleed into the next, only letting me know the track was even switching with a small bit of silence between them. It went on forever and it definitely wasn't in a good way. Saying I had to force myself to give it a re-listen is a bit of an understatement. When I would think it was time to start the album over I'd look at iTunes and there would still be 10 tracks left. I don't feel like this band has enough in them yet for a 17-track album to not be completely exhausting for the listener. Based solely on 420, I don't feel like Mejibray is a good match-up with ballads, at least in terms of vocals. They were the worst part and only managed to make the album feel even longer. I can tell this band has so much potential to be something awesome, it's right there at their fingertips. They just failed to fully reach out and grasp it with this album. I will say that this is going to be a band I will keep my eyes on in the future with hope that one day they'll surprise me. "hatred × tangle red × hunger red" was the one track I did enjoy and would recommend to others. Rating this one is really hard for me as I didn't outright hate it but I wasn't in love either. It wasn't horrific but it's not an album I'd tell people they needed to listen to.
  24. Got almost all of my x-mas shopping done. All that's left is ender-ender's doggies. ;u; yay.
