    Top 10 - Song Edition
If you're new to an artist, you might want some recommendations before you dive into their whole discography, and what better way to help you out on that than to present to you a handful of favourite songs from across a band/artist's whole work? You might be wanting a heads up, especially those with a hefty discography, or just a starting point to lead you to the best spot and work your way down from there. Whatever the case, here's a personal list of my favourites by Gothic rockers PLASTICZOOMS.

This list is ranked, so the numbers are meant as a specific order in this case. I hope this proves to be helpful for any members who are interested in trying them out, or even encourage other fans to make their own lists in response on whatever PLASTICZOOMS related they might want to also do.
    PLASTICZOOMS
Vocalist Sho Asakawa, guitarist Taiyo Ikeda, bassist Jun Yokoe, drummer Yuta Kurata, and keyboardist Shinpei Morishige make up the band. Their style can be described as alternative, shoegaze rock, but they touch upon many different sounds with each release ranging from post punk to electronic. They also have just as much of a focus on their appearance as they do sound. They're well known for their Gothic appearance, and are more popular overseas than in Japan due to this and their almost Visual Kei-esque attire. They have even collaborated with fashion label Discovered, had a photo shoot exhibited by professional photographer Nao Takeda, and appeared in "The Reality Show", a magazine where they worked with photographer Nobuyoshi Akari and designer Jill Sander. Sho himself has a brand called Venus Eccentric and is a DJ. PLASTICZOOMS are a very active band that are constantly evolving as musicians. In an interview, Sho has even compared the band to a chameleon in that they change "color from time to time" with each release. While this is certainly true, as evident with their first album (Charm) being especially punk influenced while their second (Starbow) has more of a pop sound, they continue to get better and better in my eyes.

It was difficult just picking out ten PLASTICZOOMS tracks, who admittedly don't have that big of a discography compared to most, but even so there were two specific songs that unfortunately couldn't make it in that still deserves mentions.
"MONOCHROME" really can be the only reason you need to check out their second album CRITICAL FACTOR just because of how perfect it is of an opening to the release. The messy yet grungy execution and overall dark sound makes this one an instantly repeatable tune all on its own."The Shadow" is a fine example of how the band used to sound early one, and easily my firm favourite from their early discography. It's a hauntingly beautiful yet quite simple post-rock tune compared to their recent output.

So, do we have any other PLASTICZOOMS lovers in the house? Anything you'd like to add, or change, or comment on? Give us your thoughts below! Also feel free to suggest other artists you might want to see be ranked like so: song wise, release wise, PV wise, you name it! I hope you enjoyed!

beni reacted to Bear in MH FEATURED POLL #46: What is/are your favourite genre(s) in film?
I understand what you mean, but I don't agree. Animation is, as I've already stated, a medium and it can cover every single genre in the world of cinema, from action and crime tocomedy, horror and porn. The term animation isn't used to describe the genre of the film, but the artform and it's an easy way to seperate live-action flicks and animation.

And you'd be right in calling Porco Rosso an animated adventure film, but it's only the "adventure" part that tells anything about the genre. Animated is only used to seperate it from liveaction films, or just to tell you to some degree the techniques used in making this film.

As for war, it's a genre for sure, and a genre that is all about giving you a feeling of war.

Historical film could also be seen as a genre I guess, but it's not a well-defined genre at all as it can cover a lot of genres. But a historical film could be anything from a drama and an action flick, like e.g wuxia. So it's a very vague genre in many ways, and more often than not I see people either combine it with another genre (historical drama, historical war film) or just use a subgenre, Jidaigeki, costume drama, period drama and so on.

But I guess we can just call this nitpicking. Never mind me and go on, guys.

I'm new here. A friend on facebook asked me to join, so I did. I used to be very active on VK message boards between 2003~2010 but I haven't really done much lately. I used to run my own tracker too. I pretty much just listen to Velvet Eden, Schwarz Stein, and D'espairsRay out of nostalgia these days but I would like to get back into it.

20 years old guy from Lithuania (so expect usual "English isn't my mother tongue so I apologize in advance for butchering English grammar").
My musical taste is kind of limited (Dir en Grey and their side-projects, The Gazette, Rentrer en Soi, Maximum the Hormone, Deluhi, Babymetal and some other random bands). So, if someone has something to offer - welcome , I will be glad.
    EDIT: Also I like Mutyumu.

I guess I should start with saying im happy to finally stumble upon an active forum!
Im a 18 y/o from the Netherlands, i have been following vk stuff since 13, from the shadows, but most of my sources have since stopped posting.
I started out as a diehard Versailles, D and Malice mizer fan, but since switched over to supporting smaller groups.
Especially new, I love listening to bands like Reign, malisend, NIA/ANSIA/AUNCIA, kiryuu and dadaroma, though I still have a softspot for diru, deadman, mejibray, screw and Born. But actually, I listen to almost anything.
I'm a total live-fan. Obsessed with furitsuke and customes.

I hope to make new acquaintances here, and learn more about the vk world. Tea is best served hot anyways~

I've been listening vk for ~10 years and my favorites are DIAURA, D, MEJIBRAY and DADAROMA. I started as a hc - Malice Mizer & Moi dx Mois fan. Vk music and fashion are great points of interest for me. Joining to this forum I wish to get to know more people interested in visual-kei -- since it seems that way too many people have stopped listening it.

Well hello!  I'm Raine, short for "Lorraine", and that's my middle name and what I go by.
I'm not really good at typing these things, so I'll just tell you whatever.
    I'm 14, born on January 17th, 2002.
I like anime, I have many favorites since it's impossible to pick a favorite, ya know. (but if I had to pick, it would be either Death Note or Tokyo Ghoul).
My favorite genres of music is Punk, Rock, Alternative, Indie, and Visual Kei.
My favorite Visual Kei band is DADAROMA, just in case you wanted to know aha.
I can be shy sometimes, but it depends on who I'm talking to, and what my mood is.
I like playing the guitar and the ukulele, although I wish I could play the violin and the piano.
I'm mixed race, you could say. Half white, half black.
My favorite color is red, and I like manatees.

So I hope to meet new friends on here, and thank you for reading.

As they say, little changes make big differences.

The game is globally so much more handy, especially when it comes to save points where you can now heal your full team, fights are also handier as you don't have to spam LLLL to have 4xBrave, characters are different and less awkward than the BD team, also it's much funnier.
Classes are improved, I really hope the story is less repetitive but it's really good for the first 4 hours I've played. Really looks like they didn't take BD's success for granted and actually improved every part of it. Though, obviously, the OST is nothing to be compared with BD's masterpiece...

Sorry I get so confused but I haven't discovered the whole game yet, but everything feels just... idk... enjoyable. Much more than with all BD's repetitiveness, useless long dialogs, boring side quests and weirdly growing difficulty. Give it a try if you will. If you have any precise question I can answer, just let me know !
