A lot of disrespect on this thread. Regardless of what he may or may not have been guilty of, this is a man who has just died, and someone widely respected who helped shape not only the careers of some of Japan's most popular artists but the whole industry(ies) they work in at that.

He died today at the age of 87.
He was basically the founder of the japanese male idol groups incl. SMAP, Arashi, Kat-tun and many more.

Why are y'all so upset about this thread? You can all ignore it. It's not like no one posts random shit here, people come and cry about their failed relationships all the time and no one bats an eye about those "boohoo my ex left me" threads. There's no specific rule on the forum about political discussions so I don't really see the problem. Y'all can just ignore the threads you aren't interested in instead of making a fuss about them. Or then rewrite the rules or something, idk. Go post about VK to balance it out.
 
To secret: yeah, the religious post was fun and insightful as a few others that had real substance, but just posting a link or a youtube video and expecting discussion to take off in a healthy manner is not the way to go either, this isn't your FB newsfeed. I advise to either restrain from it or at least provide a richer starting point for a conversation to make it interesting. Otherwise it looks like cheap clickbait and I can see why users get upset.

Thanks to Terre, this band is in my Top 10!

The man started off as a wrestler and was in The Scorpion King at that time, but since then he's the highest paid and most sought after star in Hollywood. The man just can't have a bad movie these days. I recently watched Jumanji and Central intelligence and he was good in the F&F series. I look forward to seeing more of his films, but the man has come a long way from making dirty jokes in a wrestling ring to becoming a beloved actor of all ages.

I'm nearly 30 and went from not caring about anything when I was your age to getting right as far deep into SJW land as possible, voted for Obama and founded the North American chapter of a Japanese antifa, but as I've gotten older and seen what feminism and SJWs and censorship etc can do, I'm somewhere in the middle now.

Nero is amazing for uploading this video and speaking up. My friend and I experienced this recently and got called "ayashii" pretty much to our faces (they thought we couldn't understand Japanese). They asked us to show our resident cards, emptied our wallets and looked at the names on our credit cards. They also asked personal questions about my family. It was really humiliating but we complied because we didn't want to get in trouble. The real kicker was when they noticed my friend has a Yoshiki credit card and started talking to us about X Japan as if they were our  friends. It took all the restraint in the world to not tell them to go fuck themselves.

I don't know if it's hated per se, but D's VAMPIRE SAGA is criminally underrated. I get most people prefer their older work, but this is the album that got me into the band and it's still my favourite.

TODAY by DEZERT (it wasn't so bad)
