They only had one song i liked and even then that song wasn't anything special. Whenever i took the time to peep what they've been doing, i always wished for my time back. Irrelevant band in my eyes and i just never got the appeal. Regardless, this does suck for people who were into em. Hopefully some of the members will go and make something great after this.

Honestly, as long as a band doesn't say they no longer identify with the visual kei scene, like DIR EN GREY and L'Arc~en~Ciel did - if you start out in the scene and still keeps your roots in it, you are a VK band. Even GACKT every once in a while says he's a VK artist. I wish people would keep this in their minds more often.
 
There's not an oshare-kei scene. Zeus said it perfectly - visual kei is a big umbrella that holds several different kinds of music and, for the most part, looks. AN CAFE, for example, started out in the scene, grew in popularity by playing in events with other VK bands and appearing in every kind of media directed to fans of the scene, were part of a VK label for years, etc. One of the cool things about VK for me was always the fact that there's always tons of different kinds of bands who, despite being completely different from each other, still play together for the same audience - the VK audience. Example: that huge visual kei festival (V-ROCK FESTIVAL) that took place years ago. Just check the list of artists who played there.
 
tl;dr, it's not a matter of opinion, it's all VK.

You know you could just branch out into other sections of Japanese music besides VK, where there seems to be no shortage of up and coming promising bands. when I started getting tired of all the stagnation in the scene back in 2010-2011 that's what I did and it pretty much revitalized my interest and love for Japanese music. Just a thought.

There's really no way of knowing if it's a real hiatus or a disbandment hiatus. If it's not an official disbandment you can't blame fans for hoping. I just wanted something like XodiacK it doesn't even have to be them. And I admit they weren't a great band but had a lot of room for improvement. Unlike Black Gene who I felt only went downhill after DOOM.

LMAO people are wishful about Xodiack coming back because it's just a "hiatus." You can imagine the wait for MALICE MIZER fans.

Most of the bands you guys like and that come through these boards are fucking terrible, let people enjoy what they want.

well, if he managed to be solo, get back with XodiacK's sound at least.

To see a visualive of him would be a dream come true. I really hope he does arena shows (or at least big hall) shows in europe too. Ive already seen him 3 times now in Europe, but a real visualive is what ive always wanted to see of him. Even tough his last work isnt his best for sure i still want to see him performe in a huge show, since thats what he does best for sure. He's still the guy who got me into j-rock/vk and he is one of the few artists i actually still listen to

Because we do not blindly accuse artists of such malicious crimes — and this thread doesn't call for nasty and downright inhumane comments like the one you made earlier.
