I feel the same way, for me the best Kamijo work will always be Lareine, it was very unique.

Tbh Versailles is more my style musically (I love power metal), but I think I'm so fixated on Lareine because their music had variety. There's nothing in Lareine's discography that makes me go "Oh, this sounds like a rehash of another song, still good though" and I catch myself doing that with Versailles a lot.
 
Anyway I want to hear Billet live and afaik there's no recorded footage of it. ;; 

Well shit I've only listened to visual kei like ten years. Can't say that I'm surprised. I was being half serious. 

After his departure from Scarlet Valse, he changed the name of his twitter account and uploaded a new demo song to his YouTube account, it seems he misses his Lafflesia stage.

Teru's perpetually worried face in the PV gives me a weird sense of anxiety. Like please smile and show some emotion to balance out Hizaki's blankness like you usually do, lmao. Why did they give him that makeup. Everything about this PV is weird compared to others. And the chorus doesn't seem to fit the song but it's still good imo!

Every Ryuji fan knows that he has a lot of potencial to form a good VK band
but feels like he rather stay safe on his own zone doing his underground projects...

Can't believe they were being discussed here and I came to know now. I am familiar with nearly their entire discography, at least of what was released by them (I haven't listened to Darkside Nightmare yet). But it has been only five years since I know them. Even with such experience, I believe I can say this: New Temptation and  OΦΦ are the worst releases (in my opinion). Anyway, I can't even select a favourite album. @Zalemu Refrain Limit/Drug Habit would have been in my favourites had it not had that chorus. I love everything else about it. It is hard to believe it is not liked much.
 
From their later sound, 深海 is worth listening to. B.C., Crash boy, 木漏れ日, 君の声, borderline, masquerade and 舌 are some others. If you wish to listen to something old, Sadistの夢 is better than 私が消える (again, in my opinion). If you wish to listen to buy an entire album, try Cakera instead of Emadara and Jakou. (If you have time, try them too). I guess I can call these my favourite releases.

I have nearly all of their albums. That's my modest collection. Thinking of getting more soon, especially some VHS.
 
@geist I have noticed that many fans of Laputa also like Dir en grey, including me. @jaymee They talk about them?! Mind giving an example you might remember? I used to always argue that they are still popular in Japan and nobody believed me. But they have lost a lot of support from overseas. I seriously drew a fan art and posted it on a group on Facebook with nearly 7000 members and no one recognised them.
 
If you like them, please follow their solo projects too. Poor Kouichi (their guitarist) has not updated his website in 6 years. Guessing he must have left the music scene. The others are still active. The vocalist's solo project seems to be going really good. You may check out the previews uploaded on YouTube by Khaos Number if you like his voice. You can purchase his works on Zoisite if you like them too.

I can't believe you guys don't like Refrain Limit/Drug Habit, what the fuckkkk. That song was always a bop to me! Anyway, my favorite albums are 翔〜カケラ〜裸  and  絵〜エマダラ〜斑. I own the former and it's honestly one of my most prized possessions.

This is so sad.. Even though I  wasn't a huge fan except for a few songs when Bou was still active, they were like one of the- if not the most famous oshare/vkei band around back in the mid 00s. I wish them all the best.

i see my ADAMS 2.0 prediction was correct... but at least ADAMS had some good songs. this is not good.

I think the musicians are good, but I feel like this band lacks something musically. It's like the songs are somehow soulless, repetitive and cliche to some extent. Probably working on solo intros with some level of complexity, emotion and beauty could fix it. I also feel the vocal is always in some kind of comfort zone where his singing is sort of monotone; his singing needs melodic fluctuations.
 
 

I want ANYTHING from him, tbh. Madieduor x Vallquar instrumentally are one of my fave "kote kei sounds" to this day. Organically Hikari's vocals are not good, but i don't think Kikyo sings very purely or even to the "ohhhhh my pussy has been destroyed"-level. It's not about that, i always find the mood and the overall arrangement to be what makes me enjoy it. OKAY i said, i'm never looking for perfect vocals. 
 
Fuck the preview would be amazing for Mizeria, though. Maybe too fast and "ridiculous" for their style, i think. Hikari always has the touch for making palpitating sounds. But God, please, if you listen to something like Madieuor's "Paradoxical DEATHTRAP", i'm pooping my pants everytime. So good.
 
Hikari, please form a band and join a label or create your own. I miss your creativity!
